President Robert Miller and Future Electronics Recognize 30 Anniversary of Jean Hafner

Hafner started with Future Electronics in January 1986, as an Order Filler in Distribution. Over the years, he worked his way up to his current position as a Quality Engineer – Associate in Quality Assurance Management, at the company’s corporate headquarters in Montreal.

“I only have good things to say about Future Electronics. I’ve been here 30 years, which means I’m happy here,” explained Hafner. “I’ve had the opportunity to work in very different functions within the Distribution Centers here in Montreal and in the UK, as well as in Asset Management and now Quality Assurance. Time flies when you’re having fun! Over the years, I have had very interesting functions and excellent managers. I hope that I can continue to contribute toward the success of the company for many more years to come.”

Robert Miller and Future Electronics Observe 10th Anniversary of Montreal Lighting Resource Center

Opened ten years ago and the first of their kind in the industry, Future Electronics’ Lighting Resource Centers (LRCs) offer unprecedented service and support for customers to develop LED-based applications. The LRCs offer key services including: proof of concept development, LED and system measurements, optical design and simulation, thermal design and simulation, mechanical design and simulation, basic LED board layout design and a tool loaner program. Proof of concept development consists of the LRCs being able to physically validate LED technology in applications – either with application demos, or by integrating LED technology into existing fixtures, including electronics circuit design. LED and System measurements are done in the Optical Measurement Lab, enabling LED and certain application-level characterizations. The LRCs enable customers to leverage the solid-state knowledge and experience of qualified engineers, validate designs with high precision laboratory equipment, and minimize application development cycles.

Future Electronics and President Robert Miller Recognize Longtime Employee Helmut Lippmann

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) March 17, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components with corporate headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, and the company’s President, Robert Miller, are pleased to recognize Helmut Lippmann, for more than 40 years of service within the organization.

Mr. Lippmann started with Future Electronics in July of 1975, as General Manager of the company’s Toronto office. Ambitiously working his way up the corporate ladder, he spent many of his early years at Future Electronics working closely with the company’s Founder and President, Robert Miller, in developing and growing business relationships with suppliers.

By 1978, Robert Miller named Lippmann a Vice President (one of only two at the time), and after several years of traveling back and forth from Toronto, he moved to Montreal in 1983 to work full time at the company’s worldwide headquarters. In the early 1980s and into the 1990s, Lippmann’s main focus was the Supplier Services group, and for the past 20 years, he has additionally been heavily involved in Inventory Management and Control.

Lippmann remains as enthusiastic today as he was when he started more than 40 years ago, and says, “Future Electronics is a great company. If you do your thing, do what you are asked to do and do it well, you’ve got it made.” He cites the fact that not one of the members of his Supplier Services group has fewer than 20 years of service with the company.
