Melbourne, Australia, 2018-Aug-15 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — Zuuse has entered into an agreement to acquire GCPay.com (GCPay), a leading North American provider of cloud collaboration software aimed at streamlining the payment applications process in the building and construction industry.

The acquisition will provide Zuuse with a critical toehold in its largest global market, with almost 40,000 users of the software platform in the USA, including General Contractors, Owners, Developers, Financial Institutions, Government Agencies, Engineering and Architectural Firms, and Subcontractors.

Together with complementing its Payapps cloud collaboration platform in the APAC and EMEA markets, GCPay will help strengthen the Zuuse global product portfolio in the building and construction software sectors.

The GCPay software solution is consistently aligned to the Zuuse strategy and customer base, offering a strong standalone solution as well as integrations with Sage and Viewpoint construction ERP systems, and aligning with other partners.

The combination of our businesses provides both parties with the expertise, scale and reach needed to provide our customers what they need, when they need it, anywhere in the world.

As a part of the broader Zuuse business, GCPay will be better equipped and resourced to deliver greater value to customers, including extending our existing product functionality as well as broadening our product offering to better fulfil the evolving needs of the growing construction industry. We are tremendously excited by the prospect of what Zuuse and GCPay can achieve together, and I look forward to sharing these benefits with our customers.”

Rosendin Electric Receives 2016 DBIA Project/Team Award for Los Angeles Valley College Monarch Center Project

Excellence Award in Educational Facility Category Presented for Creative Design-Build Collaboration and Expediting Solutions in the Field.

La Palma, CA, USA — Rosendin Electric (http://www.rosendin.com), one of the nation’s largest private electrical contractors and an employee-owned company, has received a 2016 Project/Team Award from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) for its contribution to the construction of the Los Angeles Valley College Monarch Center. The Monarch Center was one of three projects selected in the Educational Facilities category. Earlier this year, the Monarch Center project also received an Electrical Excellence Award from the National Electrical Contractors’ Association (NECA).

DBIA is the only organization in the United States dedicated to defining, teaching, and promoting best practices for construction design-build. To be considered for an award, a project must demonstrate the application of DBIA-defined design-build best practices, including bringing together team members during the proposal process, as well as close coordination from the design development stage through field construction and project completion.

The Monarch Center project represents a successful collaborative design-build project that offered Los Angeles Valley College the best design and value based on criteria, including mitigating any additional costs with expedited design-build solutions to address issues encountered in the field. Part of the challenge was completing the project without disrupting daily operations on the Los Angeles Valley College campus. The completed structure has a unique architectural design and houses the College’s bookstore, cafeteria, health services center, and other faculty and student facilities. The project was completed in 27 months at a cost of $46,661,760.

“The completed Monarch Center has an innovative design and interesting lighting and design features, such as roof lighting and a reflective canopy that eliminates the need for ground lighting,” said Dan Domenici, Project Manager for Rosendin Electric. “By working closely with the lead contractor, McCarthy Building Companies, and other project partners from the outset, we were able to overcome some unexpected challenges. Receiving recognition from the DBIA is something the entire design-build team can be proud of.”

Profiles of the winning 2016 design-build projects are available on the DBIA web site. Additional innovative design-build construction projects spanning education, transportation, technology, data centers, healthcare, and other industries are available on the Rosendin Electric web site, http://www.rosendin.com.

Two Rosendin Electric Construction Projects Singled Out as “Best of the Best” for 2015 by Engineering News Record

Leading Private Electrical Contractor Key Contributor to ENR Winning Projects in Health Care and Energy/Industrial Categories.

San Jose, CA, USA — Rosendin Electric, one of the nation’s largest private electrical contractors and an employee-owned company, is pleased to announce that two of the company’s construction projects have been named Best of the Best for 2015 by Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine. Rosendin Electric was a key contributing contractor on both the UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay and the Stanford Energy System Innovation construction projects, which were chosen as the Best Health Care Project and the Best Energy/Industrial Project, respectively.

The UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay in San Francisco is a $1.5-billion hospital construction project with 17 trade partners, including Rosendin Electric, led by DPR Construction. What made the UCSF Medical Center challenging was not only the scope and complexity of the project, but also the addition of plans to accommodate a new cancer-treatment center 18 months after construction began. Rosendin Electric was instrumental in working with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) team to create a detailed design using the latest BIM technology, and mapping the design for field inspection via mobile tablets. The project was finished at $200 million under budget, including $55 million in changes that were implemented without affecting the completion date.

The Stanford Energy System Innovation (SESI) project was a $380 million power systems upgrade to Stanford University’s power infrastructure to meet new, high-efficiency building standards and improve energy efficiency to existing buildings. The project included the addition of a high-voltage substation, installation of state-of-the-art solar arrays, and building a new central energy facility with the largest heat-recovery chillers installed in the U.S. Rosendin Electric was an important contributor to this project, aiding in the design-assist effort for the engineering and construction of the Heat Recovery Plant, OSHPD energy plant, new Administration building, and various site upgrades.

“There were more than 750 entries for ENR’s Best of the Best Projects and we are delighted that we had two projects selected as winners,” said Todd Mazza, Division Manager for Rosendin Electric. “Both the USCF Medical Center and the SESI project gave us an opportunity to display the latest in electrical engineering and design techniques, including computer modeling, prefabrication, and advanced solar technology. We are honored to be contributors to these types of innovative, ground-breaking projects.”

Rosendin Electric Ranks Third on EC&M List of Top 50 Electrical Contractors for 2015

New Construction Projects, Increased Demand for Data Services, and More Efficient Field Operations Contribute to Improved Revenues for Rosendin Electric.

San Jose, CA, USA (October 23, 2015) — Rosendin Electric, one of the nation’s largest private electrical contractors and an employee-owned company, was ranked third by revenue on the 2015 list of Top 50 Electrical Contractors compiled by Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) Magazine. Rosendin Electric was the only privately held electrical contractor to rank in the top four in revenue.

Rosendin Electric was among 10 contractors on the EC&M list to post annual gains of 15 percent or more in 2014. Much of the growth is attributed to economic recovery, since overall revenue from electrical and telecommunications projects climbed from $15.7 billion in 2013 to $21.8 billion in 2014. Regional markets where Rosendin Electric has a strong presence, such as San Francisco and Silicon Valley, have seen resurgence in new construction in 2014 and 2015 due to pent up demand. Rosendin Electric also had a variety of projects in the industries that demonstrated the strongest growth – healthcare, data center, power, education, and manufacturing.

In addition to increasing their volume of construction projects, Rosendin Electric continues to be a pioneer amongst peers in the development of technology to improve operational efficiency. Rosendin Electric was one of the first electrical contractors to equip project managers, superintendents, and field supervision with tablets to allow them to review project specs and diagrams, clock workers in and out, manage the supply chain, and much more. The use of sophisticated materials tracking software, for example, supports just-in-time delivery of essential materials to the job site to eliminate construction downtime. In addition, Rosendin Electric provides its employees with comprehensive documentation and hands-on training, as well as webinars and video clips to improve efficiency and safety in the field, all of which contributes to improved efficiency and reduced costs.

“There are so many ways that technology has helped us to become more productive,” Sam Lamonica, CIO of Rosendin Electric, told EC&M. “We now have tools to help us with everything from estimating to modeling to prefabrication. The benefits are just so wide-ranging.”

New product launch: TechTable Pty Ltd announces the release of their flagship multi award winning product “TechTable” in the United States

DELIVERING ADVANCED SAFETY AND INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY TO THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY.

Sydney, Australia, October 28, 2014 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — The award-winning TechTable was officially launched in the US at the BICSI Fall conference and provides a portable, lightweight and sturdy work surface for communications technicians to safely and efficiently terminate fibre optic and copper communications cabling.

Installers of highly complex cabling projects have seen rapid advances and developments in termination technologies however there have been very little improvements in the cluttered and uncomfortable work environments.

By using the TechTable, installers can now perform tasks at waist height and easily rotate between standing and seated positions. The platform is height adjustable, stable and comfortable and allows technicians to temporarily mount a patch panels and components onto the table for faster loading, termination consistency and improved accuracy.

David McHarg, Managing Director of TechTable Pty Ltd commented “Installers are faced with fairly primitive working conditions, meaning that neck, shoulder and back pain is not uncommon. Often technicians sit on milk crates, or in the cabinet, and are squeezed into a confined spaces for hours at a time, I couldn’t help but think there must be a better way.”

After much of his own research, David formed a team consisting of OHS consultant Glenda Snoxall, ACT Safety Regulator and Ergonomist Richard Siddell and Peter McKay of Industrious Design to develop a solution. Following an in-depth risk assessment and report in accordance with the code of practice for the prevention of Musclo-Skeletal disorders 2007 the TechTable was designed to address the key features required from a health and safety aspect and ensured compliance with this code of practice.

Prior to commercial release, The TechTable was trialled by a number of communications and electrical service companies with feedback indicating that it not only offered a much more comfortable position than traditional installation methods, but also delivered far greater accuracy and speed. Testing also identified that manual handling risks were either eliminated or reduced, and the installer’s productivity was increased by up to 24%.

The TechTable is designed for easy daily transport inside a padded carry bag and the set-up time is less than one minute. The dimensions are designed to suit tight-fit positions in cluttered computer rack environments, telecommunications rooms and data centres.

Currently the Tech table is used throughout Australia and has successfully launched in the US. For more information, including product specifications and OHS/WHS data, visit TechTable (http://www.techtable.co)

Rosendin Electric Earns Spot on the 2013 InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators for Third Year in a Row

Leading Electrical Contractor Harnesses Consumer Technologies, Cloud Services, and Mobile Applications to Streamline Operations.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (September 11, 2013) — Rosendin Electric, the nation’s largest private electrical contractor and an employee-owned company, today announced that it has been named to this year’s InformationWeek 500 – a list of the top technology innovators in the United States. This is the third consecutive year that Rosendin Electric has been named to the InformationWeek 500 for its groundbreaking use of Information Technology in the construction industry.

This year, InformationWeek recognized Rosendin Electric for its innovative integration of wireless technology, consumer devices, and cloud services to improve productivity on the job site. Rather than carrying the volumes of paper previously required, field employees now use iPads to check drawings, 3D models, and job specifications. Using mobile devices streamlines on-site processes and allows for constant, real-time communication with the entire project team. This approach increases QA/QC inspection accuracy and substantially reduces the time to identify and resolve any design and installation issues. Rosendin Electric has also harnessed the same technology to streamline procurement. Large shipments from suppliers or the company’s prefabrication location can now be tracked using QR and bar codes, saving time and resources.

“Applying consumer and mobile technology to bring greater efficiencies to electrical design and construction gives us a competitive edge,” said Sam Lamonica, CIO of Rosendin Electric. “We have the advantage of being able to draw from the expertise of one of the best IT teams in the business, and our executive leadership understands the return that can be derived by investing in the right technology. The fact that we have received this honor from InformationWeek for three years running is a testament to Rosendin Electric’s commitment to innovation.”

In past years, InformationWeek has recognized Rosendin Electric for its new EDI platform to automate manual materials ordering and processing purchase orders and invoices, substituting paper processes with e-processes, resulting in time and cost savings. Further recognition was received for being one of the first companies to migrate from a two-dimensional to a three-dimensional interactive BIM/CAD modeling system.

“The theme of this year’s InformationWeek 500 is digital business. It’s a movement, rooted in data analytics, mobile computing, social networking and other customer-focused technologies that are turning companies and industries on their ear,” said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. “Every enterprise is now a digital business – or needs to become one fast. The organizations in our ranking are leading the way.”

InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation’s most innovative users of information technology with its annual InformationWeek 500 listing, and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments, and administrative practices of some of the best-known organizations in the country.
