Future Electronics Promotes the Energy Harvesting Switches from Cherry

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) October 5, 2015 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently announced immediate availability of energy harvesting RF switches from Cherry.

Cherry offers a compact, highly efficient energy harvesting wireless system consisting of a generator and receiver. The system conducts network compatible wireless data transfer via RF-technology. A “Unique ID” excludes interference between RF-switches, while several frequency bands allow global use within different applications. In addition, flexible “Pairing” allows the operation of several receivers with one switch (and vice versa).

Cherry’s energy harvesting system offers a long mechanical life (up to 1.000.000 operations) and is environmentally friendly, with no batteries that need to be changed or disposed of.

The product is available in the form of a energy harvesting generator or generator with PCB and antenna system, as a rocker switch, snap switch or light switch module. A KNX-compatible switch Fulfilling KNX-RF 2.0 is also available, as well as evaluation kits, which provide a functional demonstration of the technology.
