“Escape From Solomon’s Church” is a Life-Transforming Journey into the Heart of God

The Song of Solomon, a book of the Bible, is a lyrical poem of King Solomon and is his masterpiece of all songs. First time author Brad Kuechler has a fresh new angle and sees the Song of Solomon as a true story that contains layers of deep spiritual meaning.

Newport Beach, CA (USA), December 22, 2017 — The Song of Solomon, a book of the Bible, is a lyrical poem of King Solomon and is his masterpiece of all songs. First time author Brad Kuechler has a fresh new angle and sees the Song of Solomon as a true story that contains layers of deep spiritual meaning. Kuechler reveals that the story is actually about a young, dark woman from Shulam who was beautiful in every way. From the hair on her head to the footprints of her feet and from her heart to her character, she was fairer than any other woman. This young Shulamite woman was in love with a young shepherd who didn’t have much worldly wealth to offer her, but he was her beloved.

They were made for each other, and they planned on spending the rest of their lives together. In fact, she was engaged to him. The only problem was that the king of Israel wanted her for himself. One day, as the king looked over his kingdom, he saw this woman who was beautiful in every way but engaged to the love of her life. The king wanted her, so he took her from her shepherd lover to add her to his collection of wives. This Shulamite woman would be his ultimate trophy. So, the king took her away and tried to get her to love him and forget her beloved. He offered her the very best the world and his version of church had to offer. He even seduced her with promises of the outward fruits of wealth, recognition, and a comfortable lifestyle. He gave her fragrant perfumes, spa treatments, unmatched wealth, and chef-prepared meals. This king was none other than King Solomon, and he is the villain of this story.

“Solomon’s culture caused her to strive for acceptance and recognition instead of resting in God’s love and provision,” said Brad Kuechler, author. “Many have seen Solomon as a picture of Christ, however, it is not Solomon but the poor shepherd who is really a clearer picture of Jesus Christ. Think about it, Solomon had 1,000 wives, allowed foreign God’s into his kingdom, disobeyed God and ultimately lost the kingdom. That doesn’t sound like a picture of Jesus. On the other hand, the poor shepherd was rich with love, compassionate, dedicated, and was not filled with the pride of this world. I believe this book will open the eyes of many to see Jesus in a fresh new way and escape from a life of striving for fame, recognition and acceptance in the house of Solomon’s Church.”

Kuechler’s book The Chronicles of Solomon I Escape From Solomon’s Church: Song Of Solomon: An Epic Love Story Into The Heart Of God, covers the first two chapters of the Song of Solomon in which a rich king entices a young woman from her first love using the lure of great riches. If we examine the story further, we will find a lesson that teaches us to look beyond the surface of wealth and put our trust in God.

“In today’s culture we put too much emphasis on wealth and not enough on the true spirit of God’s relationship with us,” said Brad Kuechler, author and lead pastor of Rock Solid Church. “Using the story of King Solomon I wanted to create a series of books designed to serve as a pilgrimage for readers to grow their faith and develop a deeper walk with God.”

In this story we read of a King who uses his power and riches to entice a beautiful young woman from Shulam to leave the one true love of her life. This story is not unlike what we are seeing in today’s culture; a world in which possessions, professional advancement and money are often used as the measuring tool to determine success. Whereas, in Kuechler’s book, he demonstrates that it is our inner faith and love in God that allows us to find rest in Him.

“The entire series will not only enlighten you, but it will also awaken your first love for Jesus Christ in a fresh, new way,” said Kuechler. “This book compares Solomon’s lifestyle and culture that he created in his kingdom and temple to modern-day Christianity and the simple teachings of Jesus Christ. Rather than strive and fight for the wealth of earthy possessions, my hope is that readers will find comfort in the knowledge that God’s love is all the riches we need to be truly satisfied.”

“This book is far more than an explanation of the first two chapters of The Song of Solomon,” said Lisa Umina, founder and president of Halo Publishing. “Brad takes the reader on a journey using Solomon’s story as a focal point, bringing the reader to a better understanding of the life God would have us lead and what He truly desires from his followers. I highly recommend this book and look forward to future volumes in the series.”

The Chronicles of Solomon I Escape From Solomon’s Church: Song Of Solomon: An Epic Love Story Into The Heart Of God is now available at Halo Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble, in paperback for $21.95 and $9.99 for the e-book.

Author Writes Book of Proverbs to Guide Others through Life’s Challenges

Caribbean Author Lawrence Elliott says you can apply certain Christian principals to your life to overcome any struggle and be successful.

Nassau, Bahamas, February 20th, 2014 — Caribbean Author Lawrence Elliott says you can apply certain Christian principals to your life to overcome any struggle and be successful. That’s why he wrote a book called, “Practical Proverbs for Everyday Living,” which was recently released by Halo Publishing International.

“You cannot avoid all of the negative situations that come into your life. They are there for a purpose, to help you grow,” says Elliott. “But you can avoid the unnecessary situations that bring pain, regret and despair by practicing the proverbs in this book.”

Elliott says “some of the main areas that people struggle with are home and family; love and relationships; and wisdom and knowledge.” He has dedicated chapters to these areas. Altogether, the book holds more than 300 proverbs, along with his experiences and others that will help the reader to be equipped to live a victorious successful life.”

For example one proverb from the first chapter says:

“A fool is one who becomes aware of God’s plan for his life but rejects the assignment.”

Elliott recalls a time when he rejected public speaking opportunities. It wasn’t until a pastor’s wife called and told him that she prayed to the Lord for speakers for their conference and saw him in a dream speaking at the conference, which caused his heart to change. Elliott says “he finally accepted the invitation to speak publicly.” He continues to speak today at different forums.

“While Elliott’s book is similar to the Book of Proverbs in the Bible,” says Halo International Publisher Lisa M. Umina. “It’s different because it reflects a 21st century version.”

Elliott says there are things that people struggle with that are not in the Bible, such as: cell phones, social media, internet, etc. Some people don’t know how to use these tools in a positive way, but by applying the principals in his book, Elliott believes anyone can overcome life’s challenges.

You can purchase “Practical Proverbs for Everyday Living,” at www.HaloPublishing.com. It sells for $13.95.

Daily Devotional Journals Offer Spiritual Guidance and Inspiration

Staying faithful to God by reading Bible verses can be a bit of a challenge for many Christians. Shirley Kufeldt felt that way as she read scripture in an effort to walk a Christian life and become aware of God’s plan for her earthly journey.

Houston, TX (USA), September 25, 2012 — Staying faithful to God by reading Bible verses can be a bit of a challenge for many Christians. Shirley Kufeldt felt that way as she read scripture in an effort to walk a Christian life and become aware of God’s plan for her earthly journey.

“For too many people, reading the Bible, God’s word, is too much of a challenge,” she said. “So they neglect picking up a Bible and do not learn what God has to say about any number of topics.”

It was these realizations that lead the committed Christian to develop the Bible Bites series, pocket-sized booklets filled with daily scripture verses for prayer requests and personal journaling. Available through Halo Publishing International, Bible Bites booklets are small journals designed to develop the habit of responding to scripture daily. “So each day, Bible Bites invites the learner to ponder one scripture and respond to God’s word with praise and prayer requests,” Kufeldt said.

Publisher Lisa Umina said the author’s new way of sharing the Christian faith will be a blessing to many readers seeking spiritual inspiration. “It will give them another way to have a conversation with God.”

Kufeldt said, “Christians will enjoy Bible Bites because it is an extremely simple, timely and effective way to spend time with God’s word and journal on a very regular basis.”

“When you ask folks if they’re satisfied with their daily devotional time with God, the answer is typically ‘no,’” she said. “People don’t read a Bible, attend church, a Bible study or a support group due to time constraints or lack of desire. They miss out on what God wants to do in their lives. I finally developed a system of journaling my prayer requests that works for me.”

“Through Bible Bites, people can easily learn, memorize and mediate on scripture as they journal regularly with direction and purpose.” The idea for the journals came from God, Kufeldt said. “It’s His word, my walk.”

A native of the Chicago area, the devoted author and her husband, Scott, have been married for 38 years and now live in Northern Wisconsin. They have two daughters and a granddaughter.

Watchers of the Rainbow Covenant – New Sci-Fi Thriller-Mystery Novel

New Author Derrick G. Lindsey’s novel Watchers of the Rainbow Covenant confronts paranormal phenomena and science with Biblical scripture. One of the great anomalies of our modern time, is that atheists attack the Bible as being full of “ignorance” and a tool written by ignorant men “to enslave” those who believe. This could not be further from the truth. Even if you don’t believe in divine inspiration, the writers were the greatest minds of their time. The greatest philosophers, statesmen, planners, organizers, military leaders, and “yes” even scientist of their day. Theirs was cutting edge thinking in a constantly changing world of demagogies, wars, famines, and new scientific discoveries. Much like the world we live in today.

Derrick G. Lindsey explodes onto the literary scene with a compelling, fast paced and suspenseful novel set in a dynamic future. What is truly fascinating is how it confronts cutting edge theories of today on the creation of the universe with the Biblical accounts of creation.

The story is a step by step mystery that evolves, but the science is what is ground breaking. A true fusion of the two trains of thought (Religion and Science) which actually are very complementary to each other.

Paranormal phenomena folklore dating back thousands of years, and presented in theories and in the media today are brought face to face with the ageless text of the Bible.

Watchers of the Rainbow Covenant is a joy ride on a fast plane into a world 200 years from today. One need not be a Biblical scholar or a science fan of the latest theories to enjoy it. One merely has to love science fiction and you will love this novel.

About the Author:
Derrick G. Lindsey is a Computer Science Engineer who has worked for various NASA projects in his career, most notably the U.S. Space Shuttle.

He has studied at Fuller Theological Seminary Pasadena California, and The Kings Seminary in Van Nuys California where he is pursuing a Masters of Divinity Degree.
