XebiaLabs Ranks 15 on Deloitte Fast 500 List

EMA Ranking validates clear business value behind software automation.

Boston, MA (USA), December 12, 2014 — XebiaLabs, the leading provider of software automation for bringing applications quickly to market, today announced it achieved a 15th place ranking in the 2014 Deloitte Technology Fast 500TM for the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region.

XebiaLabs achieved an impressive 8,609 percent growth rate over a five-year span to win the 15th place out of 500 companies ranked. The Deloitte program is the pre-eminent technology awards program in EMEA and now in its fourteenth year.

“We’re delighted to receive this recognition but we must credit our growth to the fact that businesses are seriously under pressure to turn their innovative ideas into usable software,” said Coert Baart, XebiaLabs CEO. “This means ‘concept-to-cash’ in days, instead of weeks or months. But due to existing legacy systems and outdated release processes, this rarely happens. Continuous Delivery by XebiaLabs changes the game. For starters, it radically removes waste and time from the software production process.”

Continuous Delivery takes all manual processes associated with building software — from testing, deployment, configuration and monitoring — and fully automates that cycle. Combined with customer feedback, creating a competitive software build & release machine is possible for your business.

International corporations such as General Electric, Expedia, Xerox, KLM, and Société Générale use XebiaLabs to accelerate software applications into the marketplace while reducing costly errors and downtime.

XebiaLabs Adds XL Release to Accelerate Software Delivery

XL release provides advanced enterprise release coordination, streamlines path to delivery through automation and collaboration

Boston, MA (USA), September 17, 2013 — XebiaLabs, the leading provider of delivery acceleration software, today announced XL release, an enterprise-class release coordination product. XL release enables teams to integrate release management and execution for the first time while providing a path to fully automated delivery pipelines, getting features and enhancements to your customers and end users faster.

XL release allows all team members to collaborate effectively and simply on application releases – to plan, execute and track both manual and automated tasks from code drop to end-user. Integration with XebiaLabs’ Application Release Automation software Deployit provides a complete solution to deliver higher quality software faster.

The current reality of software releases is that they consist of a mix of automated and manual tasks, all of which have to be scheduled, coordinated and carried out.

Automation and execution of tasks in a typical release cycle cannot be combined with tracking and coordination, since today’s planning tools do not provide automation capabilities. This results in time-consuming overhead to keep the release coordinator, the release team and all other stakeholders in sync.

Handling the communications divide between Development, QA and Operations introduces additional time lags, increases the risk of miscommunications and errors.

“Recognizing the pains in the marketplace, we created a product that not only addresses those pains but can substantially increase the level of automation and standardization of software releases,” said XebiaLabs CEO Coert Baart. “The end-result for our customers is high-quality software, delivered faster.”

Built for DevOps and release teams and managers and designed from the ground up around an integrated, team approach to application delivery, XL release is built around the following core functions:

* Flexible Release Plans – The most intuitive and flexible planner to describe all the manual and automated activities that need to be carried out in your releases. Define teams, assign tasks, create checkpoints and gates and identify dependencies in a few clicks.
* Single Source of Truth – All participants in a release, from Dev through to Ops, share a single, up-to-date view of all release activities, even with globally distributed teams.
* Ready for Reality – Re-plan and adapt to changing circumstances as necessary. Re-run release steps, rollback unfinished tasks and reassign activities while maintaining a full audit trail.
* Release Templates – Transition to more predictable and efficient release plans by defining release templates for applications and even entire application families. Implement Continuous Delivery by progressing to release pipelines for all your application releases.
* Built for the Enterprise – Designed from the ground up to meet the requirements of large organizations, with role-based access control, LDAP integration, calendar syncing and more.
Proactive Conflict Alerts – Dependency management and resource usage analytics help you identify potential sources of release delays and failures before they occur.
* Acceleration Platform – With full out-of-the-box support for automating release activities, standardized release pipelines and comprehensive release acceleration analytics, XL release provides you with a dedicated platform for releasing high-quality applications faster.

Survey Finds Application Deployments Fail up to 30%

XebiaLabs reports Continuous Delivery, Deployment Automation top IT executives 2013 agenda.

Boston, MA (USA), March 20, 2013 — XebiaLabs, the leading provider of Application Release Automation for the continuous delivery of enterprise software ( http://www.xebialabs.com ), today released the results of a survey conducted over a four-month period to assessApplication Release Automation trends among a key global group of DevOps professionals and C-level executives representing financial services, insurance, healthcare and technology companies with more than 1,000 employees.

The overarching results reveal organizations regard their current application release processes as deficient and are actively seeking to automate “the last mile” of their release process as they look to automate their enterprise application release management to a greater degree.

The survey also indicates organizations are actively looking to implement solutions that help them move away from expensive, error-prone “big bang”releases and towards a continuous delivery approach.

Key Application Release Automation Trends:
* 75% of respondents give their deployment process a failing grade.
* Deployments fail 10-30% of the time.
* 57% of respondents feel there is room for improvement in their release process.
* 48% say inconsistency across their environment and applications is their biggest challenge in the deployment process—followed by dependency on expert resources (40%)and processes that move too slowly (38%).
* 29% list increased efficiency as the top benefit of deployment automation followed by release acceleration (23%) and error elimination (19%).

Continuous vs. Manual Application Deployment and Delivery

Organizations are actively researching solutions that will eliminatemanual deployments, which require a greater effort in terms of scripting and troubleshootingthat also increases in direct proportion to deployment volume. In contrast, with continuous delivery the focus shifts to building a deployment pipeline first, allowing for any number of deployments in a given time period without significantly impacting cost. Ongoing investments are capitalized due to the regular release of new features.

“Our survey indicates a clear need for automation in the application release process,” said CoertBaart, XebiaLabs CEO. “We are also seeing a trend towards choosing “off-the-shelf” solutions rather than developing in-house. Given these market trends, many organizations are feeling some urgency and realizing there are real business benefits to automating their application deployment strategies.”

More than 130 DevOps executives from mid to large-sized companies responded to the survey between October 2012 and January 2013. XebiaLabs asked participants to share their current release management process and pain points as well as their key initiatives for 2013. The survey’s margin of error was plus or minus five percent.

XebiaLabs Reports Triple-Digit Growth in 2012

XebiaLabs today announced a record year of growth for 2012, citing demand in enterprise license sales for its flagship product Deployit.

Boston, MA (USA) – January 25, 2013 — XebiaLabs, the leading provider of enterprise-class Application Release Automation ( http://www.xebialabs.com ) for the continuous delivery of enterprise software, today announced a record year of growth for 2012, citing demand in enterprise license sales for its flagship product Deployit, an application designed to replace the vast amount of scripting, time and resources required for provisioning infrastructure and deploying applications.

Extending its record of profitable growth, http://www.xebialabs.com XebiaLabs posted record gains last year with revenue growth increasing by triple digits led in large part by winning new customers such as RBC Investor Services, 3M, Pitney Bowes, Xerox, IF, Societe Generale, and Rabobank.

“RBC Investor Services decided to implement XebiaLab’s Application Release Automation to help reduce costs and save time,” said Didier Baczynski, Senior Solution Architect, RBC Investor Services. “With Deployit, we reduced our deployment times from days to minutes. The deployment process is now a repeatable and predictable process rather than a unique journey relying on a ‘hero’ to make it happen.”

According to a Gartner report by Ronni J. Colville, intelligent Application Release Automation tools help to minimize the risk of human error and add reliability. They also provide transparency for all of the stakeholders involved and, more importantly, limit downtime and ensure faster delivery to the end user.

“XebiaLabs is excited that global enterprises are choosing Deployit because it is the most scalable deployment automation solution on the market and the right fit for large enterprise deployments,” said Coert Baart, CEO, XebiaLabs. “We are proud that these organizations are seeing an almost immediate reduction in application release times, lower overall IT expense and a fast return on investment.”

In addition to a strong financial performance, XebiaLabs also completed a number of strategic initiatives to position it for even stronger growth in 2013. These include:

* Relocating North American headquarters to accommodate expansion;
* Expanding the XebiaLabs team in the U.S., Netherlands, France and India;
* Launching of Deployit 3.8, a powerful yet easy to implement Application Release Automation solution that helps organizations automate and accelerate the deployment process resulting in increased productivity and saved OPEX.
