Miami, FL, USA — Contemporary Art Projects USA/Gallery presents “Variations on the same Subjects: People, Nature and Geometry” hosted by ArtsPark @Young Circle Gallery curated by Mariavelia Savino. The show includes twenty-one contemporary emerging and career artists, widely exhibited in the US and abroad, unique and excellent in technique and artistic proposal. Each artist will display one or more artworks according to size, subject and suitability for the concept of the show. The curatorial goal focus in uniqueness and quality, in order that each artist should present his/her point of view in subjects like nature, human beings, abstract and/or geometric art.

We are honored to present the extraordinary art by Adriana Dorta, Alicia H. Torres, Amalia Brujis, Anica Shpilberg, Anrika Rupp, Artiom Grishaev, Brian Blount, Chris Delias, Gloria Cohen, Henrik Welle, Hugo Diaz, Juan Luis Perez, Kelly Fischer, Lolo Loren, Luz Maria Charlita, Michele A. Monterey Museum of Art Receives Highest National Recognition

Awarded re-accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums

Salinas, CA, July 19, 2017 – The Monterey Museum of Art is proud to announce that it has once again been honored with the highest degree of national recognition from the American Alliance of Museums.

In a July 5, 2017 letter to museum director Stuart Chase, the Alliance announced that the Monterey Museum of Art has been granted re-accreditation — recognition that the museum continues to meet National Standards and Best Practices for U.S. Museum.

“Accredited museums are a community of institutions that have chosen to hold themselves publicly accountable to excellence,” said Laura L. Lott, Alliance president and CEO. “Accreditation is clearly a significant achievement, of which both the institutions and the communities they serve can be extremely proud.”

“As the new leader of The Monterey Museum of Art, I’m very proud to work with our Board and staff to produce programs, exhibitions and build collections that meet national standards reflected by this re-accreditation,” said Stuart Chase, Executive Director Monterey Museum of Art. “We are truly one of the finest American regional art museums in the nation.”

Among an estimated 33,000 museums in the United States, only about 1,000 are currently accredited. The Monterey Museum of Art is the only accredited art museum between San Jose and Santa Barbara.

Accreditation signifies excellence to the museum community, to governments, funders, outside agencies, and to the museum-going public. The Monterey Museum of Art initially received accreditation in 1976, but all museums must undergo a re-accreditation review at least every 10 years to maintain accredited status.

“The Board of Trustees is pleased to receive news of the Museum’s re-accreditation from AAM,” said Board President Kim Negri. “We look forward to continuing to guide the Museum and support our new Executive Director, Stuart Chase, in our mission of expanding a passion for the visual arts and inspiring appreciation of California art, past, present and future.”

The Monterey Museum of Art is located at 559 Pacific Street, across from historic Colton Hall, and is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and Thursday through Sunday. The Museum is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The Museum also has a second venue, at 720 Via Mirada, for special exhibitions.

Admission is $10 per adult, with no admission charge for students (18 and younger) and active military with identification, and members.

Designated as one of UNESCO’s Creative Cities, Santa Fe is a globally familiar art destination. The city claims the second largest art market in the United States and draws scores of national and international visitors. Palm Springs, CA, USA — Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of Modern Op Art by Fusion Artist, Evie Zimmer. Evie’s featured show will run from January 7th through January 31st from 6-9 p.m.

Evie is an American artist creating and teaching in Cleveland, Ohio. Her early work consists mainly of traditional portrait paintings, although she had always been drawn to the intricate design, and energetic beauty of op-art. Eventually, Evie began to explore her fascination and her work blossomed into her current mesmerizing style.

Evie’s work has been described as a “strange loop” of process and product. Her oil paintings radiate an inherent energy not unlike traditional mandalas with acidic colors transforming into soothing pastels, and geometric patterns melting into exotically organic shapes.

Located at 2658 S. Cherokee Way, in Palm Springs’ historic Backstreet Art District, Fusion Art is one of an assortment of artist-owned galleries and working studios that feature diverse collections of original, contemporary art by locally, nationally & internationally recognized artists. The Backstreet Art District is located just off Hwy 111 (behind the Mercedes Dealership and the Estate Sale).

Founded by Chris and Valerie Hoffman, the gallery was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. Fusion Art is pleased to announce it is now accepting submissions for its 2nd Annual “Leaves & Petals” international online juried art exhibition.

Palm Springs, CA, USA — Fusion Art is pleased to announce it is now accepting submissions for its 2nd Annual “Leaves & Petals” international online juried art exhibition.

For this competition artists and photographers are encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of flowers, leaves, herbs, plants, shrubs, bushes, hedges and other botanical or floral subjects. The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all artists and photographers, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit.

The exhibition will be hosted on Fusion Art’s website during the month of February 2017.

Cash prizes will be awarded in two categories – “Traditional” Art and “Digital Art & Photography” and the Best in Show winners will receive invitations to participate in Fusion Art’s group exhibition in Palm Springs, CA in 2017. The deadline to apply is January 27, 2017.

Sublime Galleria Presents a Fun-Filled Christmas Carnival at The Collection, UB City

The event will take place on Saturday, 10 December 2016 from 3-7 pm.

Bangalore, India, December 9th, 2016 — To kick-off the festive season, Sublime Galleria is all set to present a grand Christmas Carnival from 3-7 pm on Saturday – 10 December 2016 at The Collection, UB City. The Carnival aims at celebrating the spirit of giving by involving children and adults.

With face painting, hair braiding, selfie stands with Santa, workshops on dancing, and a show by a Bangalore-based rap and rock band, Transitpoint, the Carnival promises to be a delight for everyone across all age groups.

Additionally, children from ages 5-17 are being given the opportunity to turn entrepreneurs and manage their own operations from end-to-end, with 12 stalls being provided to them. The youngest child, who is all of five years, will be selling homemade bath products and cookies. The children will sell their own creations – Christmas treats, snacks, and games – and will personally hand over 10% of their cash sales to Dream a Dream, a charitable trust based out of Bangalore. There will also be a stall by Hoopsters Club, an online platform for children to express their opinions and showcase their talents.

Commenting on the event, Uzma Irfan – Director, Prestige Group, said, “It gives me great pleasure to invite everyone to one of Bangalore’s most fun-filled Christmas Carnivals. By allowing children to have their own stalls, we are providing them with an opportunity to build their business skills while sensitizing them to the less privileged communities. In addition to an evening of fun and entertainment, by associating with ‘Dream a Dream’, we also hope to empower the vulnerable and give them the platform they deserve. I encourage everyone to attend the Carnival and make a difference while having a great time.”

The lineup of entertainment will be as follows:
* 3:00pm – 4:00pm: Workshop by Zealers Studio, known for mixing a variety of dance forms into one energy-packed session
* 4:00pm – 5:00pm: Music by DJ Anirudh
* 4:30pm – 7:30pm: A group of carolers will spread the Christmas spirit by singing at different spots around The Collection, UB City.
* 6:00pm – 7:30pm: Rap band Transitpoint, which will perform a mix of Christmas carols and their own compositions. CDs from their new album, Hayyath, will also be sold at the Carnival.

The beautiful interiors of The Collection, UB City will be transformed to reflect this theme, with the lighting of the Christmas tree at 6:30pm. Additionally, the bridge on the second floor of the mall will display a collection of sketches, portraits, and landscapes by a young and extremely talented self-taught artist, Priyanka Muthuraman. A recent graduate of architecture, Priyanka believes in creating art from old materials, thus preserving the beauty of the old while adding a modern touch to it.

All proceeds from the Carnival will go towards Dream a Dream, a registered, charitable trust empowering children and young people from vulnerable backgrounds to overcome adversity and flourish in the 21stcentury using a creative life skills approach.
