Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that its May 2013 online art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to be viewed online. The theme for this art exhibition is “SeaScapes”.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – May 1, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that its May 2013 online art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to be viewed online. The theme for this art exhibition is “SeaScapes”. The gallery received a broad selection of 2D media from artists from around the world for this event.

An international online art competition was held in April 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received and judged 629 entries from 22 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 38 different states.

Congratulations to all of the artists who have been designated as this month’s category winners, along with the winning Special Merit and the Special Recognition artists. The gallery commends all of the winning artists for their artistic skill and their creativity, as this online art exhibition is indicative of their creativity.

Don Jacobson Announced as Featured Artist by Art Gallery

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) is pleased to announce that fine art photographer; Don Jacobson is now the gallery’s featured artist.

Jupiter, Florida, USA (April 16, 2013) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) is pleased to announce that fine art photographer; Don Jacobson is now the gallery’s featured artist. Don has participated in many of the gallery’s past art competitions and he has placed in every art exhibition that he competed in!

The world of photography and the world of the natural wonders of the Sierra Nevada opened to Don Jacobson simultaneously. The photographs he took with his little Kodak Brownie were woefully inadequate to express the grandeur of the Range of Light. Within a week of his first backpack trip into the high country, he bought his first SLR, a Pentax Spotmatic and began to take photography classes.

Don’s degree is in electrical engineering and he worked in that field for three years. Working for the defense industry became more of a contradiction with his political views initiating a search for a desperately needed a creative outlet. For the next twenty-eight years he worked as a glassblower. His work was shown in galleries across the United States, and the Corning Museum included a piece of his in their 1986 collection of 200 international glassblowers. Although glassblowing was his “day job,” he continued to practice the art of photography, studying photography with Edmund Teske at UCLA for a year. The two different mediums are connected by light. The magic of glass is in its ability to transmit and reflect light while photography is the capturing of light.

Don states this about his art and photography, “I see the world differently now. The camera, which narrows the field of vision, has actually expanded my vision. When I realized I was viewing reality as if it were a series of photographs, I initially questioned that perspective. Now, I know my perception is enhanced and enriched from my pursuit of photography. 3rd Annual SeaScapes Juried Art Competition Announced

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces its 3rd Annual SeaScapes juried art competition for the month of April 2013.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – March 21, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces its 3rd Annual SeaScapes juried art competition for the month of April 2013. The gallery urges all 2D artists (Including Photography) to submit their best SeaScape art for inclusion into the gallery’s May 2013 online group exhibition.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery encourages entries from all 2D artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field to send the gallery your best interpretation of the theme SeaScapes. Seascape subjects would include scenes of coastal living, any ocean activities, seaside vistas and any related seashore subjects for this art competition.

A group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of May 2013. Awards will be for 1st through 5th places and in addition, 5 artists will also be recognized with Honorable Mention awards. Depending on the amount and the quality of the entries received, these winning categories may be expanded with Special Merit and Special Recognition awards as well. The submission process and the deadline will end on April 26, 2013.

Winners of the SeaScapes Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity in the form of email marketing, 70+ press release announcements, 75+ event announcements posts, extensive social media marketing, in order to make the art world aware of the art exhibition and in particular, the artist’s accomplishments. There will also be links back to the artist’s website included as part of this award package.

Art Gallery Announces Danielle Austen as Featured Artist

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) is very pleased to announce that fine art photographer; Danielle Austen is now the gallery’s featured artist.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – March 16, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) is very pleased to announce that fine art photographer; Danielle Austen is now the gallery’s featured artist. Danielle has participated in many of the gallery’s past art competitions and she has placed in every art exhibition that she competed in!

Danielle Austen is an award winning documentary fine art photographer specializing in environmental portraits of nature. Danielle was trained in the traditional fine arts of painting, sculpture, drawing and photography where she received her BFA from Cornell University. She worked as a graphic designer before attending the master’s program at the Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, in photojournalism.

Working for newspapers and magazines, her editorial work has been published locally, regionally and nationally, including the 2002 issue of “Life’s, The Year in Pictures.” Returning to her fine art roots, she has combined her skills and training and has participated in more than two dozen national juried exhibits, and recently had a joint show at the Atrium Gallery in Morristown, NJ. Last year she was an Artist-in-Residence at the Everglades National Park and received a Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center.

It was recently announced that Danielle was on the winners of Canon’s “Project Imaginat10n” Photo Contest. Her winning image was chosen by celebrity director, Biz Stone, the co-founder of Twitter, to help inspire his upcoming film.

Danielle states this about her art, “In a world of majestic beauty, I seek to document a more ‘quiet beauty.’ My nature photography focuses on the many tranquil aspects of my journeys. As an outdoorswoman and environmentalist, I love to explore my surroundings through hiking and kayaking, but I also discover great splendor on my drives through local neighborhoods. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 4th Annual “Abstracts” Juried Art Competition for the month of March 2013.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – February 20, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 4th Annual “Abstracts” Juried Art Competition for the month of March 2013. 2D artists from around the world are called upon to make online submissions for inclusion into the Gallery’s April 2013 online group exhibition. The gallery encourages entries from artists, regardless of where they reside to apply to this competition by submitting their best non-representational art.

Light Space & Time encourages entries from all 2D artists (Including Photography, excluding video) regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of April 2013. Awards will be for 1st through 5th places. Also, 5 Honorable Mention places will be awarded. In addition, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries, Special Recognition rewards will also be given as well. The submission process and deadline is midnight on March 27, 2013.

Winners of the “Abstracts” Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity and promotion in the form of email marketing, 70+ press release announcements, 75+ event announcements, and social media marketing and promotion in order to make the art world aware of the artist’s accomplishments. Jupiter, Florida, USA – February 16, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Anna Zavileiskaia is this month’s Featured Artist and she will now appear in the gallery’s Artist Showcase for the next month. Anna has participated in more than 5 of Light Space & Time’s art competitions and she has placed in every event that she entered.

Anna Zavileiskaia is a fine art photographer based in Budapest Hungary. She was born in 1966 in Moscow, the USSR. Anna graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy) in 1989 with Master Diploma in architecture of residential and civic buildings.

She currently is a member of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects. Anna’s photography has been exhibited in numerous solo and group art shows in Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Argentina, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the United States.

Anna states this about her art and the creative process, “Working with visual installations is what I find most stimulating. Not only is this an intellectual process, it also provides “spiritual nutrients” to the mind.” She goes on to explain her approach to her art, “An attempt to approach art not only at an aesthetic level but as an intellectual phenomenon as well, a dialogue, possibly a provocation, which should be acted upon. The objects themselves are nothing more than everyday items from daily life, transformed and seen in a new context. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery Creates New Award Category

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that they have created a new award category for their future art competitions.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – January 31, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that they have created a new award category for their future art competitions. The award category that was has been created is called “Special Merit” and its purpose is primarily for artists who were being excluded from being recognized further for outstanding art due to size limitations for each of the gallery’s monthly exhibitions.

John R. Math, Gallery Director states this about this new category, “Since we started the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery we were always frustrated that we were unable to include more artists in the top tier of our media categories. There always seemed to be several special pieces that we thought could easily been included but were not, due to the competition’s size constraints.”

Math continues with his thoughts about the award, “The art which will be selected for this category is art that could have been placed in the top tier of the entries selected from the various media categories. The only reason that any of this art was being excluded from the top tier was due to the size constraints of that particular competition. Otherwise, the Special Merit art, in many cases, is interchangeable with the best art that we select for any of our shows.” The Special Merit awards will be selected from the Special Recognition art.

Artist Samantha Tebbutt is Featured in Artist Showcase

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that artist Samantha Tebbutt has been selected as this month’s featured artist and will now appear in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – January 15, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that artist Samantha Tebbutt has been selected as this month’s featured artist and will now appear in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.

Samantha Tebbutt grew up on the South Coast of England in the United Kingdom. From a young age Samantha fuelled her imagination with Myths, ghosts and folk tales. This area is rich in natural wildlife Heritage like Langstone Harbour and this inspired her to begin painting landscapes along with creative writing. This area of the UK is rich in coastal history, such as the Mary Rose Ship of Henry VIII sailed out to its doom from the Portsmouth Harbour.

In 1995 inspired by Celtic tales and the idea of becoming an artist, Samantha moved to Southern Ireland. Since her move to Ireland she has devoted her time and has worked hard at becoming both a visual and poetry artist.

In 2011 Samantha decided to become more computer skilled and began to enter art competitions at Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery. Several of her entries were awarded Special Recognition Certificates. With this success her confidence was growing as an artist and in 2012 she had her artwork published in The International Contemporary Artists. In addition Samantha has been writing and illustrating Hubpages which are now featured. Also, in 2013 her artwork was selected by Galleria “IL Collezionista” in Rome.

Most recently her artwork and writing has been concentrated on the War poets of WW1. Samantha says this about this work, “This has been a very absorbing project, the war poet’s biographies are inspiring but often they led tragic lives.” Samantha’s art and poetry can be found at http://hopewellart.com and also at http://samtebbutt.hubpages.com.

All Photography Art Exhibition Winning Artists Announced

Jupiter, Florida, USA – January 2, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces that its January 2013 juried art exhibition is now posted, online and ready to view on their website. The theme for this art exhibition is “All Photography”. The gallery received a broad selection of photography, including, film, digital, digital collage, digital manipulation, along with alternative printing and other alternative capture processes.

The gallery accepted international entries from all photographers regardless of their experience. The gallery received and judged 452 entries from 16 different countries and from 30 different states.
