About Moonwater Dance Project

During a successful professional dance career, founder Mackenzie King experienced and witnessed personally, as did many of her colleagues, a disturbing climate in which individual talent and artistry are ignored, dancers minds and bodies not honored and disregard for personal spirit.

When Dana Alsamsam created Moonwater Dance Project and hired Mackenzie to be a part of a small, one-time performance, each of her dancer’s commitments and talent was valued by creating an artistic, emotional, and physically fulfilling performance piece. This fresh ideal, contrary to previous less collaborative experiences, left Mackenzie inspired and she vowed to keep that environment alive and growing. Ultimately Ms. Alsamsam generously gifted the name, as well as the company’s first piece of repertoire to Ms. King and Moonwater Dance Project was founded as a non-profit organization in 2018.

Mackenzie’s laser focus is on artistry, individuality and the ability to be vulnerable. Artists love what they do yet often are taken advantage of and receive far less than deserved. Ms. King’s dream is to honor the passion and sacrifice without lessening the quality of life.

The aesthetic of Moonwater Dance Project is similar to water and has a captivating duality, soft yet strong, nurturing and destructive; a force to be reckoned with, unpredictable and utterly calming.

FED Publishing Releases New Book, “FORMULA SEVEN and Genesis of The New World Order” by Michael March

FORMULA SEVEN and Genesis of The New World Order, Michael March, heralds Doctor Cyrus Markum as he rolls out the antitoxin that will neutralize the deadly HIV virus! Unfortunately factions within the federal government conspire to eliminate any trace.

Atlanta, GA, USA — Michael March’s FORMULA SEVEN and Genesis of The New World Order, follows an enraged scientist as he creates a masterwork of revenge including acceptance into the Illuminati.

On an otherwise serene 1989, June night, FBI agents are hustling to load up two large tractor-trailers. Their cargo is unusual. It consists of heavy filing cabinets, laboratory equipment, and chattering chimpanzees. Their motivation is far from altruistic.

Their target of the operation is Doctor Cyrus Markum, a brilliant microbiologist. With the fortune bequeathed by his former life-partner, he’s funded the research project that has created Formula Seven, the vaccine that will thwart the virus causing AIDS.

The Feds are far from enthused with his initiative. They dispatch their agents to eradicate any trace of the lifesaving antibodies and emasculate its creator. The pompous autocrats have gravely miscalculated. They’ve unleashed a ravenous lion.

Doctor Markum chooses Daniel Dundee, a televangelist, as the pivot point in his blueprint of retribution and convinces the Bavarian Illuminati that the time has arrived for their all-encompassing revolution. The TV broadcast of the “New Age Messiah’s” assassination will be the tipping point for the scheme, causing a chain reaction that will lead to the New World Order’s absolute planetary domination. The Doctor’s enterprise is expansive and ingenious, but the Illuminati’s Trilateral Commission has a strategy of their own.

Born in Brooklyn, Michael studied industrial engineering at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. Preferring the exploding music scene, he left to find his way in the world of Rock n’ Roll. Uncle Sam had a much better idea. He insisted that Michael become all that he could be and enter the military. He served with the Eleventh Armored Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam from July 1967 to July 1968. After his discharge, he circumnavigated America, seeking to uncover the soul of society and discover his own. Eventually wending his way home, he semi-normalized and raised a family. Taking his leave from the corporate world seven years ago, Michael moved to Atlanta and fell in love with the city and the craft of storytelling. His first book, Each One a Hero, a fictionalized autobiography of his time spent in a misunderstood and unpopular war, was published by Hellgate Press in 2016.

Genre – Illuminati, HIV Virus, New Thought Ministry, Government conspiracy, Televangelist, International Intrigue, Vietnam veteran, FBI, New World Order, AIDS epidemic

Mini Performance of Dance Kids’ ‘Nutcracker: A Monterey Peninsula Tradition,’ will be held Dec. 22 at Carmel Valley Ranch

Dance Kids of Monterey County, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, announced that it will perform a mini version of its popular “Nutcracker: A Monterey Peninsula Tradition,” Dec. 22, at Carmel Valley Ranch.

Carmel, CA, October 30, 2018 — Dance Kids of Monterey County, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, announced that it will perform a mini version of its popular “Nutcracker: A Monterey Peninsula Tradition,” Dec. 22, at Carmel Valley Ranch.

Due to renovations at the Ranch, the event will be held in the Golf Club House this year. The event will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 2:30 p.m.

A full production of Dance Kids’ “Nutcracker” will be performed Dec. 7-9 at the Sunset Center in Carmel. The full production features the 39-member Monterey County Pops! symphony orchestra conducted by Dr. Carl Christensen. And, for the first time, the production will feature a children’s choir performing onstage during Act I’s “Dance of the Snowflakes.”

About Dance Kids

With over 24 years of production history, Dance Kids of Monterey County, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization founded by Richmond, is proud of its wide range of theatrical experience that support the youth of the Monterey Peninsula. In the early days, productions at the Carmel Ballet Academy included “Nutcracker” and original spring musicals written by Walt de Faria and a full-length spring ballet, produced at Sunset Center.

Dance Kids was known for fun-loving nostalgia surrounding the musical and drew from the community a range of young people and their families committed to theater. As it grew, its little venue could not handle the “Nutcracker” any longer, but continued at the venue for the spring musicals, until those too, outgrew the dance studio. “Nutcracker” moved to Sunset Center in 1995 and has remained there as its home venue except for the years the center was being remodeled.

Dance Kids “Nutcracker” has grown into a premier production eagerly awaited by cast and community. The original vision of Dance Kids of Monterey County has been honored as well as surpassed in the ensuing years. This year is one of pivotal change and growth.

Piano Trio in D Minor, op. 120 (1923) by Gabriel Fauré

Living Frescoes was inspired Bill Viola’s 2002 video art installation Going Forth by Day, a series of five looped digital “frescoes” which explore themes of human existence: individuality, society, death, rebirth. The performance will feature a unique multi-media component.

Commissioned by Chamber Music Monterey Bay as part of a larger commissioning project entitled The Arc of Life, Living Frescoes was an idea conceived by CMMB Artistic Director Emerita Amy Anderson who commissioned composers Christopher Theofanidis, Joan Tower, George Tsontakis and Kevin Puts to create works related in some way to Mr. Viola’s Going Forth by Day. It was premiered on October 12, 2012 by Trio Solisti, (Maria Bachmann, violin; Alexis Pia Gerlach, cello; Jon Klibonoff, piano) joined by clarinetist Jon Manasse. Ms. Gerlach returns to Carmel for a second performance of Living Frescoes as a member of Music for Copland House.
