FED Publishing Releases New Book, “At a Crossroads: Finding the Right Psychotherapist (Even if You Already Have one)” by Linda Tucker, PsyD, LCSW

At a Crossroads: Finding the Right Psychotherapist (Even if You Already Have One) became an Amazon International Number 1 Best Seller, by Linda Tucker, PsyD, LCSW, as the insider’s guide to finding the very best help when you need it most.

San Francisco, CA, USA — Dr. Linda Tucker’s At a Crossroads: Finding the Right Psychotherapist (Even if You Already Have one) asks Do You Need Help and Don’t Know Which Way to Turn?

“I wish I had read this book 20 years ago. Dr. Tucker provides a concise, clear guide to the often confusing and intimidating world of therapy and therapists…..What kind of therapist do I need, how do I find someone that is “right” for me. I’ve always found it to be a daunting, somewhat scary endeavor. Understanding the process from Dr. Tucker’s perspective has shed a very different light on the experience. If you have been thinking about finally addressing those demons and realize that you can’t do it alone, read this book. Really. It’s that good.” ~Lisa Farnsworth

When you’re at a crossroads, you need to know what to look for so you can choose the right professional for your particular situation. This book will guide you as you begin (or continue) your journey to find help when you need it. You will learn:

-What to look for in a psychotherapist
-What kind of therapy may be best for you
-How to find a great therapist where you live
-How to pay for therapy
-Where NOT to go to find a therapist (hint: the internet is not the best guide)
-What to ask on the initial call and the first appointment
-How to tell if a therapist isn’t right for you
-What to expect in the therapeutic relationship

Written by a top San Francisco psychoanalyst, At a Crossroads will give you the guidance you need to find a caring psychotherapist, and then show you how to make the most of the therapeutic relationship.

Voted “one of San Francisco’s Best Psychologists,” Linda Tucker, PsyD, LCSW, is seasoned psychoanalyst with 20+ years of experience in helping individuals and couples lead more fulfilling lives. She also hosts a bi-weekly award winning podcast, “Challenge Your Thinking,” interviewing notable individuals to discover how they overcame the challenges we all face.

Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa Launches Exciting New Wedding Packages, from Indian to LGBT Weddings

The Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa has launched a number exciting new wedding packages available at the resort hotel, including Indian and Southeast Asian, LGBT and mid-week weddings, as well as a unique “Elopement Package.”

Monterey, CA, July 09, 2017 — The Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa has launched a number exciting new wedding packages available at the resort hotel, including Indian and Southeast Asian, LGBT and mid-week weddings, as well as a unique “Elopement Package.”

For example, an Indian wedding would include a perfect path for a baraat and ample space for Mendhi and post-wedding brunch in addition to such inducements as the largest ballroom in Monterey County, with capacity for up to 800 seated guests, the ability to bring in outside caterers, complimentary honeymoon suite for the newlyweds, a large garden terrace for your ceremony and cocktail reception, as well as 550 rooms, including 32 suites and a Villa, with group rates — making it perfect for multi-day long celebrations, all with complimentary parking.

The 2017 Elopement Package includes an intimate, romantic wedding for you and up to 10 guests. Hyatt’s on-site wedding specialist has put together an affordable Elopement Package, including a Garden Courtyard Terrace ceremony with officiant, bride bouquet, cake for two, a bottle of sparkling wine, photography, and a wedding suite.

Weddings at Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa

Walking past the fountain entryway into the Hyatt Regency Monterey’s Fireplace Lounge, you instantly feel yourself relaxing amid the resort’s sophisticated comforts, natural materials and soothing earth tones. Take it from us, the skylit Lounge is an inviting spot to while away a pleasant hour, quaffing a local vintage from their wine cellar along with tasty appetizers by their acclaimed farm-to-table bistro, TusCA Ristorante.

While the innovative food and drink are delicious, the resort boasts a bounty of recreational activities, like their full-service Racquet Club, 2000-square-foot Fitness Center and neighboring Del Monte Golf Course. Two sparkling pools surrounded by gardens beckon swimmers and sunbathers alike. Rent a bicycle to tour the scenic grounds, or take the trails that skirt the nearby bay up to historic Cannery Row. (The hotel’s Les Clefs d’Or Concierge can arrange everything from Aquarium tickets to wine tasting.)

With so much to entice and entertain, you don’t need an excuse to visit this resort. But if you’ve come to celebrate a special occasion, then you’ll be delighted by the expert service and range of venue options.

The Regency Grand Ballroom, the largest in the county, can host a gala dinner for 600 and still have plenty of room for dancing. Soft teal blue-and-beige décor reflect Monterey’s serene coastal palette; high ceilings with inset lighting bays and a bank of windows provide gentle illumination. The adjoining foyer opens to a terrace with a retractable awning, perfect for an indoor/outdoor social hour.

For a more intimate setting, the Monterey Ballroom still holds up to 400 guests but can be reduced to accommodate as few as 25. While the Regency takes its inspiration from the sea and sky, the Monterey recalls the region’s mountains and meadows: Rustic hues are enlivened with a sunny yellow reminiscent of springtime daffodils. An adjacent patio increases your staging possibilities.

Open-air receptions are sometimes celebrated on the Garden Terrace, which can also be tented. The bridal party and guests may reserve the rooms overlooking this courtyard, which offers convenience to the ceremony and is close to the celebration.

Your nearest and dearest will thank you for their mini-vacation, which includes plush, contemporary accommodations. Newlyweds receive a complimentary suite for their wedding night, but for the ultimate indulgence splurge on a Villa, a four-bedroom oasis with its own private lanai and swimming pool! This secluded hideaway can host up to 50 guests for your rehearsal dinner or cocktail party in high style.

First Edition Design Publishing Releases New Book, “High Spain Drifter” by Mark Krieger

High Spain Drifter, by Mark Krieger, follows cyclist Mark and his wife Roz, as they travel around Spain and Portugal’s Iberian Peninsula.

Rosebud, Victoria, Australia — Having previously cycled around France, Mark Krieger’s High Spain Drifter continues his and his wife Roz’s journey throughout Europe, this time around Spain and Portugal’s Iberian Peninsula.

Following the footsteps of the Tour de France and Spain’s Vuelta a Espana through the Pyrenees, Mark recalls many of cycling’s memorable moments; some inspirational, and some that the sport would rather forget.

Across the border into Spain, summer is approaching, a time when Catalonians are in festival mode. Travelling west, there is a treacherous ‘goat track’, near Oviedo, that Mark’s determined to conquer after two failed attempts.

Arriving in Portugal, the pair are enthralled by the country’s history; events like the ‘Age of Discoveries’, the 1755 earthquake, the Carnation Revolution and the humble beginnings of Fado. Drenched in history and abundantly alive in the present, Lisbon proves an awesome exception to avoiding large cities when cycling.

Just as evocative in its own way is the small Spanish town of Trigueros. Once the sun goes down, its previously near-deserted streets come alive.

Continuing through the south of Spain, the travellers visit the Sierra Nevada range. It’s here where Mark tries to fulfil another obsession; to cycle up its highest peak, Pico de Veleta. Much higher and harder than any mountain he’s ever dreamed of tackling, its final kilometres of treacherous road make the thought of continuing seem foolish.

An avid cyclist, Mark has travelled widely throughout Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe. Now a retired schoolteacher, these passions, as well as his life-long interest in history, have become the catalyst for his writing. His and his wife’s journey around France in 2009 – portrayed in his book, Lycra, Lattes and the Long Way Round – was the first of many wonderful adventures in the years ahead. Today, Mark and Roz live happily on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

Genre – cycling, travel, vuelta a espana, history, cinema, mountains, portugal, spain, fado, reconquista

The ebook version of High Spain Drifter ISBN 9781506904214, published by First Edition Design Publishing (http://www.firsteditiondesignpublishing.com), is available on-line wherever ebooks are sold. The 204 page print book version, ISBN 9781506904207, is published by First Edition Design Publishing and distributed worldwide to online booksellers.
