Global Software Company First Tenant to Break Ground at T5 Data Centers’ T5@Colorado Campus

After Extensive Search, Technology Company Selects T5@Colorado for Its Resilient Infrastructure and Park Restrictions for Data Center Use Only.

Colorado Springs, CO, USA — T5 Data Centers™ (http://www.t5datacenters.com), innovators in providing state-of-the-art, customizable and highly reliable computing support environments, has announced that a global enterprise software company has purchased 8.5 acres of the T5@Colorado campus for construction of the first of two Colorado Springs-based data centers. The company broke ground earlier this month for construction of the first of its synchronous pair of data centers. The enterprise software company chose T5@Colorado after an extensive search for a suitable location in the Central US region. The Purchaser noted that T5@Colorado data center campus is ideal because of its location, utility resiliency, and the security offered by a dedicated data center campus with restrictions on use that ensure similar uses nearby.

“Having one of the top 10 technology companies sign as the first occupant of the T5@Colorado campus is a coup for T5@Colorado and offers validation for the data center park location and infrastructure,” said Vince Colarelli, T5’s Colorado representative. “Now that they have broken ground, we can continue to develop the infrastructure that will be the foundation of future data center success for the T5@Colorado location.”

T5@Colorado is a pre-planned, pad-ready data center campus with restrictions that specify land use for data centers only. The 64-acre campus has dual, independent power feeds, expandable to deliver 100 MW of critical electrical capacity. Plans also call for the campus to accommodate up to 15 telecom providers with dual independent routing and low latency. The geographic location was chosen because it offers low risk for both natural and manmade business disruption, and because of regional zoning and economic incentives that promote construction of Tier II, Tier III, or Tier IV single and multi-tenant data centers.

Pam Borrelli, a San Francisco-based photographer, has been creating photographic images her entire life, a passion first discovered in childhood. After years honing my skills in the traditional dark room, I have embraced the digital revolution in Photography, inspired by its unique and creative possibilities. I believe that the continuous advances in the technology and craft of digital photography are creating an entirely new medium.”

Professionally, Pam has participated in a number of juried exhibitions, where she has won recognition and awards for her work, and most recently from the Kellicutt International Photo Show. Output Factory for Adobe InDesign Now Supports InCopy Workflow

Zevrix Solutions announces Output Factory 1.5.55, a feature update to its output automation solution for Adobe InDesign. Output Factory automates printing, exporting and preflighting from InDesign. The software offers an array of time saving options such batch processing, export as single pages, layer versioning, variable file names, multi-format output and much more. The new version now fully supports the editorial InCopy workflow by allowing to auto-update links in imported InCopy documents.

Toronto (ON), Canada — Zevrix Solutions today announces the release of Output Factory 1.5.55, a feature update to its solution to automate printing, exporting, preflighting and file delivery from Adobe InDesign. With Output Factory, printers, ad agencies and publishing houses worldwide can automate and simplify their output workflow and easily repurpose InDesign files for the web and mobile devices.

The new version now fully supports the editorial InCopy workflow that lets writers, editors, and designers work simultaneously on the same InDesign document, without overwriting each other’s work. The update addresses an issue which prevented Output Factory from processing InDesign documents with modified links in imported InCopy files.

“Output Factory has been the single biggest time-saver I’ve encountered in years of print production,” says Mike Agate, Production Manager of Which?, Europe’s largest consumer rights organization. “With the reduction in head count and efficiency savings, it must have paid for itself 500 times over.”

Under the Output Factory workflow users only need to select InDesign files, adjust output settings, and the software will do the rest automatically. Built-in preflighting ensures that no output errors will be left unnoticed. The program supports all popular output formats and offers the following key features:

Batch output of InDesign files
-Supports print, PDF, PostScript, EPS, TIFF, HTML and other formats
-Export as single pages
-Layer versioning: export layer combinations as single files
Variable output file names
-Output to several formats at once
-Automatic preflight

Pricing and Availability:
Output Factory can be purchased from Zevrix website for US$169.95 (Light version $120, Server $700), as well as from authorized resellers and Adobe Exchange. Trial is also available for download. BatchOutput users can upgrade to Output Factory for $85. Output Factory requires Mac OS X 10.6-10.11 and Adobe InDesign CS3-CC 2015.

UglyDeck.Com Announces Investment Opportunity with a New Outdoor Deck

UglyDeck.com helps homeowners find smart ways to improve their home and get a nice return on their investment.

Burnsville, MN, USA — Homeowners looking to renovate or increase the value of their home face many options on how to do so. While some DIY or renovation projects might seem like a worthwhile investment, there are others that will not recoup their value on resale as you might hope. For instance, remodeling a bathroom is something that would appeal to future homeowners if you’re looking to resell your house in the future. And though a bathroom remodel will increase a home’s value, it won’t equate to the amount of money invested. In fact, some projects like a bathroom renovation, a new front door, or a custom-built closet may only recoup a little over 50% of their value when reselling a house.

There are tactics for investing in upgrades that result in smart returns on investment, such as building an outdoor deck. Adding a deck to an outdoor space increases livable space and square footage for a home at a much smaller cost per square foot than indoor house additions. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the national average for building a typical two-story, 2,000 square foot house is around $85 per square foot. Comparing that to the cost to build a deck at around $35 per square foot, it’s easy to see how a deck addition is a smart investment.

Not only is building decks a smart way to improve a home for future resale, it’s also a way for current homeowners to enjoy their house as well. Choosing the right outdoor decking material, such as UglyDeck.com’s maintenance free decking material, will not only be a durable and hassle-free choice now, but something that will appeal to future buyers too.

If there’s an existing deck in need of a repair or cosmetic upgrade, the deck builders at UglyDeck.com can help find decorative railings, an outdoor spiral staircase, or deck refinishing options to help turn the deck into a focal selling point of the home. In the UglyDeck.com showroom, customers can see firsthand the different options they have available to them for their deck and can work with UglyDeck.com to find the perfect solution for their home and budget.

LinkOptimizer for InDesign Improves Sharpening Filter Application

Zevrix Solutions announces LinkOptimizer 4.9.62, a maintenance update to its workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer lets users reduce the size of InDesign links by eliminating excess image data according to their final size and target resolution. The app can also perform essential image adjustments and convert colors and file formats. The new version improves the reliability of Photoshop sharpening filters application and addresses some image format conversion issues.

Toronto (ON), Canada — Zevrix Solutions today announces the release of LinkOptimizer 4.9.62, a maintenance update to its workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer helps users automate complex repetitive image manipulation tasks and easily repurpose InDesign documents for web and mobile devices with just a click of a button.

The new version addresses an issue in which the user defined automatic application of the Sharpen More filter in Photoshop could be omitted under certain condition. This issue didn’t affect the action of the Unsharp Mask and Sharpen commands. The update also improves the reliability of GIF image conversion and fixes some minor UI glitches.

“LinkOptimizer is the one product no creative studio can live without,” says Wayne Guy from Edge Graphics studio in Lake Balboa, California. “It saves hours of time, tediously replacing linked images, resizing, batch processing… If you’re a designer or production artist, you need this.”

LinkOptimizer works automatically with Adobe Photoshop to eliminate the excess image data of InDesign links, perform essential image adjustments and convert image formats:

-Resize links to match their InDesign dimensions at a target resolution.
-Reduce link size by eliminating excess image data.
Convert image colors and apply ICC profile.
-Convert image formats.
Merge layers and delete hidden ones.
-Run a Photoshop Action on each image.
-Optimize files for web and mobile devices.

As a result users can save gigabytes of disk space and hours of optimizing images manually, accelerate document output, reduce job turnaround and cut costs through faster processing.

Pricing and Availability:
LinkOptimizer can be purchased from Zevrix website for US$259.95 (Light version: $179.95) as well as from authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for LinkOptimizer 4.x users and $130 to upgrade from previous versions. LinkOptimizer requires Mac OS X 10.6-10.11 and Adobe InDesign/Photoshop CS3-CC 2015.

GiftWorksPlus Provides Guidance and Insights for Photographers This Summer

GiftWorksPlus provides ideas on how to make photos even better, and suggests putting those photos to use by placing favorites in their custom picture frames.

Waukesha, WI, USA — Instead of just taking pictures on a phone and never doing much with them, GiftWorksPlus encourages people to try their hand at the art of photography. Whether it’s with an expensive camera, an inexpensive one, or even a phone, there are some simple tips to help improve photography skills and make pictures worth printing and displaying.

First, always remember that less is more. Simple compositions take away other distractions and let the main part of what you’re trying to capture become the focal point. Focus on what made you take your camera out in the first place and keep everything else out of the shot. Zooming in, trying a different angle, or simply turning your camera from a horizontal landscape to a vertical portrait might help simplify the image.

Getting some perspective in photos, especially landscape photos, is helpful too. Including a person into a landscape shot not only can create a focal point for the image, but can give an idea of the scale of the landscape and orients the viewer to what they’re looking at in the photo. If you’re unsure if adding a person to the shot will make it better or not, simply take two versions – one with a person in the photo, and one of the landscape on its own.

Patience is another difference-maker that can turn a good photo into a great one. Whether it’s waiting for the sun to set a little bit lower or waiting for a bird to fly by a shot, taking the time to wait for the right shot will be worth it.

Once you get that perfect shot, don’t just let it sit on a memory chip or on your phone – make sure to frame your photo with an engraved frame from GiftWorksPlus. GiftWorksPlus has hundreds of wooden frames that will perfectly highlight your favorite photos from vacations or family get-togethers. These unique picture frames come in portrait or landscape orientation and in several sizes, so you’re sure to find a frame that will complement your photo. A custom picture frame is also a great personalized gift idea for friends and family. Make sure to check out the selection of picture frames from GiftWorksPlus today.

New Book Release – Major Wager: The Pure Round of Golf Jack Challenged Tiger To, by Colin Koenig

Author Colin Koenig announces the release of his second book, “Major Wager: The Pure Round of Golf Jack Challenged Tiger To” is now available through Amazon.com.

Bridgeport, CT, USA — It’s 1997 and golf legend Jack Nicklaus watched the riveting new star, Tiger Woods, destroy the competition at the Masters. When Woods declares his goal is to beat Nicklaus’ 18 major golf titles, that gets Nicklaus wondering. Does the kid have what it takes?

What if Jack Nicklaus challenged Tiger Woods to a totally private round of golf? Just the two of them?

Following this exciting premise, author Colin Koenig crafted together a fictional match between golf’s greats that carries an 18-hole round of golf through an entire book. Major Wager (The Pure Round of Golf Jack challenged Tiger To) is that tale, and is now available through Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/Major-Wager-Round-Challenged-Tiger/dp/1518748562/182-6638860-8750045).

Nicklaus wants to play the round at Augusta National, home of The Masters. But can he arrange it? What about keeping a low profile? Would they not use their caddies, and even carry their own golf clubs? And not tell their families? It would be just them—-two men meeting to play a round of golf…but it turns into so much more.

With witty dialogue and vivid imagery, Koenig creates a round of golf that will never be forgotten. Taking into account the age difference and the character of each man, he brings their personalities to life on the course. With human touches: “Tiger took off his cap, which was drenched with sweat. He wanted a new one,” and inside glimpses into their minds: “(Jack) was beginning to feel a bit nervous about what he was going to propose to Tiger, and the fear of rejection was something Jack Nicklaus was unaccustomed to.” The book reads like a Sports Illustrated story.

The story answers questions every golf enthusiast has probably asked:
• What would happen if the two pros golfed one-on-one?
• What would they talk about?
• What’s going on inside their heads as they play?
• Stripped of their entourage and away from the public intrusion of the cameras, can these legends of golf play a round like two normal guys?

A long-time sports enthusiast, Koenig reveals what he thinks the answers to those questions are in a fast-paced narrative that will keep readers turning pages. It’s definitely a match that would have made history, had anyone known about it. One reviewer, Grady Harp, a Top 100 Amazon Reviewer, said this about the book. “Colin supplies a jet-propelled adventure on a golf course that reads so well that it vies with any mystery or thriller on the shelf.”

Major Wager: The Pure Round of Golf Jack Challenged Tiger To (ISBN 978-1518748561, 2015, CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform. Paperback $9.75, 140 pages. Kindle $6.50. Available on Amazon.)

About Colin Koenig
Colin Koenig was born in Bridgeport, CT. He later spent time in Pennsylvania training Standardbred race horses. Koenig drives a delivery truck which allowed him to conjure up dialogue every time he passed a golf course. This is his second book.
