He also holds a M.Sc. in polymer chemistry from the University of Auckland, and a B.A.Sc. in nanoengineering from the University of Toronto. A default is inevitable if America’s debt and spending addictions are not broken and it should be clear to all that DC politicians will not balance our budget on their own.

“Defaulting on our national debt is the only way to stop out of control borrowing and spending in Washington DC,” said Jack Lawrence, Director of AD Project. “It will be a painful and dangerous time for our nation, but facing the realities, through controlled debt default, will be more surmountable now than later if they keep increasing the debt levels. Each infant born in America today, each of our children, each of our grandchildren owe more than $50,000 and that is unacceptable. We owe it to them to abolish this debt.”

The American Defense Project hopes that other grass roots organizations and lawmakers will begin to adopt the call for America to engage in a “controlled default” instead of a forced default that will be more damaging at a later date and higher debt level.

There is also a great danger that future politicians will enforce repayment of these current and future debts by subjecting American citizens to freedom and economy crushing surveillance state technologies and authoritarian police state tactics.

“American citizens will have to be disarmed, have our freedoms severely restricted, and face police state oppression to exact the amount of servitude required to repay debts of this size,” said Jack Lawrence. “These debts are a threat to our national security and way of life. Freedom and default are preferable to slavery and oppression repaying these debts will bring.”

The AD Project contends that controlled defaulting on our national debt is a preferable option because it could decrease the influence foreign governments like China and Saudi Arabia have on American political leaders. Controlled Default could force politicians to balance the budget once they are unable to borrow from lenders. Default would benefit the American economy by unencumbering our citizens and businesses from these destructive debts that take money out of our economy without producing anything or returning any benefits for our citizens.

Santa Cruz Artist Mary Karlton Wins Award at California Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts Competition and Exhibition

Santa Cruz artist, Mary Karlton, was awarded second prize in the “Human Factors” category for her painting “Sweet Summertime” by the Madera County Arts Council’s 2013 Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts juried art exhibition.

Santa Cruz, CA, USA (October 10, 2013) — Santa Cruz artist, Mary Karlton, was awarded second prize in the “Human Factors” category for her painting “Sweet Summertime” by the Madera County Arts Council’s 2013 Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts juried art exhibition. The annual art exhibit, held at the Circle Gallery in Madera, was juried by renowned Santa Cruz, California painter and teacher Mike Bailey.

Ms. Karlton’s painting, which depicts a young boy enjoying a juicy red watermelon, celebrates the abundant fruits of the summer season. With its high-contrast chiaroscuro style and shimmery copper and bronze underpainting, the portrait has a vintage feel that simulates the look of old sepia-toned photography of the mid-twentieth century. The painting was inspired by an old photo of her father that Ms. Karlton discovered in a box of family memorabilia.

In 2012, Mary Karlton was awarded first prize for her painting entitled “How Are You M’ Lord?” by the Madera County Arts Council’s Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts exhibition, Pomegranate Festival category.

About Madera County Arts Council’s Annual Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts Showing

Originally funded by a grant from the California Arts Council, Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts has been a tradition and source of pride in Madera County and the state of California for 20 years. The contest promotes a broader interest in and understanding of agriculture as an industry while showcasing the work of professional California artists. It is a juried show, with approximately $8,000 in prizes offered across seven categories. In 2013, 180 entries from 79 artists around the state (up 27% from 2012) were received. Jurors selected 93 pieces, including watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings; pencil and pastel drawings; metal and clay sculptures; photography; and mixed media. 2013 marks the first year that photographic entries were fully integrated into all of the show categories, and the first year that paintings and sculpture were included in the “Human Factors” category.

Russian Railways and two of URALCHEM’s Companies sign an agreement on cooperation to improve Transportation Efficiency

Russian Railways, URALCHEM’s Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Works Plant and URALCHEM-TRANS signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2013 to 2015 at the Volga Coordinating Council meeting held in Nizhny Novgorod.

Moscow, Russia (October 10, 2013) — Russian Railways, URALCHEM‘s Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Works Plant and URALCHEM-TRANS signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2013 to 2015 at the Volga Coordinating Council meeting held in Nizhny Novgorod. The meeting was chaired by the head of Gorky Railway, Anatoly Lesun.

The agreement will increase interaction efficiency between the parties to guarantee the transportation of raw materials and finished products from the plant in Kirovo-Chepetsk. The parties agreed to combine their efforts in priority areas such as: accelerated transportation of the consignor’s cars, provision of track to be used for parking cars, automation of the process for organizing shipments.

Sergei Momtsemlidze, Director of the Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Works Plant, said: “Gorky Railway has always been one of the plant’s most important and reliable strategic partners. Increased cooperation between URALCHEM and Gorky Railway will give a new impetus to our strong relationship and will help to improve transportation of raw materials and finished products from the plant, including products for the domestic agricultural sector.”

Vsevolod Kovshov, director of URALCHEM-TRANS said, “The development of cooperation between Russian Railways and URALCHEM has been one of our priority tasks.
