The Spirit Agency, Novel New Talent and Modeling Agency

February 14, 2011 – Attorney and entrepreneur Dennis VanDerGinst, has recently opened a new and novel talent and modeling agency, dubbed “The Spirit Agency.” Encouraged and inspired by super-agent, Paul Fisher, VanDerGinst created “Spirit” in order to offer a “safe haven” for talented models and entertainers. “The modeling industry is probably the only entertainment industry that does not have a union available to protect rights of the worker”, said VanDerGinst, “We intend to run our agency as though our models were unionized. We will not allow them to be exploited by clients. We will do our best to ensure they work in a safe environment. We will make sure they are paid fairly and timely. We will be available to offer emotional guidance, legal counsel and financial advice. It is a shame to see young models making lots of money who wind up with nothing later in their careers. We want to do what we can to protect our models and other entertainers.”

VanDerGinst is also the managing partner of VanDerGinst Law, and the national director of American Spirit Pageants. “The Spirit Agency was a natural fit with what we already do”, said VanDerGinst, “We meet lots of talented and beautiful women through the Pageant, and through the law firm we represent many talented people with their business and other legal issues. So, there is a lot of synergy between what we were already doing and what “Spirit” will be offering. As an attorney there are many legal services that I can offer that most agencies cannot.”

One of the novel characteristics of American Spirit Pageants is that is the only national pageant to have fundraising as a judged component in the competition. Likewise, VanDerGinst wants to encourage his talented clients to give back to the community. “I am a firm believer that if you are blessed with gifts such as talent, beauty, business acumen or something else that generates wealth, you have a responsibility to do what you can to help others. We want to make it easy for our clients to do so. We call it our “Role Model” program”, says VanDerGinst, “It is a program designed to identify opportunities for our clients to give back to the community in a way that will enhance their own image, help them from a tax standpoint, make them feel good about themselves, and most importantly assist worthy charitable efforts.”

The Spirit Agency represents female and male models and just about every category of entertainer from anywhere around the world. You can read more about the agency at: http://www.thespiritagency.com
