Output Factory for Adobe InDesign Now Supports InCopy Workflow

Zevrix Solutions announces Output Factory 1.5.55, a feature update to its output automation solution for Adobe InDesign. Output Factory automates printing, exporting and preflighting from InDesign. The software offers an array of time saving options such batch processing, export as single pages, layer versioning, variable file names, multi-format output and much more. The new version now fully supports the editorial InCopy workflow by allowing to auto-update links in imported InCopy documents.

Toronto (ON), Canada — Zevrix Solutions today announces the release of Output Factory 1.5.55, a feature update to its solution to automate printing, exporting, preflighting and file delivery from Adobe InDesign. With Output Factory, printers, ad agencies and publishing houses worldwide can automate and simplify their output workflow and easily repurpose InDesign files for the web and mobile devices.

The new version now fully supports the editorial InCopy workflow that lets writers, editors, and designers work simultaneously on the same InDesign document, without overwriting each other’s work. The update addresses an issue which prevented Output Factory from processing InDesign documents with modified links in imported InCopy files.

“Output Factory has been the single biggest time-saver I’ve encountered in years of print production,” says Mike Agate, Production Manager of Which?, Europe’s largest consumer rights organization. “With the reduction in head count and efficiency savings, it must have paid for itself 500 times over.”

Under the Output Factory workflow users only need to select InDesign files, adjust output settings, and the software will do the rest automatically. Built-in preflighting ensures that no output errors will be left unnoticed. The program supports all popular output formats and offers the following key features:

Batch output of InDesign files
-Supports print, PDF, PostScript, EPS, TIFF, HTML and other formats
-Export as single pages
-Layer versioning: export layer combinations as single files
Variable output file names
-Output to several formats at once
-Automatic preflight

Pricing and Availability:
Output Factory can be purchased from Zevrix website for US$169.95 (Light version $120, Server $700), as well as from authorized resellers and Adobe Exchange. Trial is also available for download. BatchOutput users can upgrade to Output Factory for $85. Output Factory requires Mac OS X 10.6-10.11 and Adobe InDesign CS3-CC 2015.

“LinkOptimizer is the one product no creative studio can live without,” says Wayne Guy from Edge Graphics studio in Lake Balboa, California. “It saves hours of time, tediously replacing linked images, resizing, batch processing… If you’re a designer or production artist, you need this.”

LinkOptimizer works automatically with Adobe Photoshop to eliminate the excess image data of InDesign links, perform essential image adjustments and convert image formats:

-Resize links to match their InDesign dimensions at a target resolution.
-Reduce link size by eliminating excess image data.
Convert image colors and apply ICC profile.
-Convert image formats.
Merge layers and delete hidden ones.
-Run a Photoshop Action on each image.
-Optimize files for web and mobile devices.

As a result users can save gigabytes of disk space and hours of optimizing images manually, accelerate document output, reduce job turnaround and cut costs through faster processing.

Pricing and Availability:
LinkOptimizer can be purchased from Zevrix website for US$259.95 (Light version: $179.95) as well as from authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for LinkOptimizer 4.x users and $130 to upgrade from previous versions. LinkOptimizer requires Mac OS X 10.6-10.11 and Adobe InDesign/Photoshop CS3-CC 2015.

Future Electronics Promotes Schurter’s Compact Single-Phase Filters

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) June 11, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components founded in 1968 by Robert Miller, recently announced immediate shipping availability of Schurter’s compact single-phase filters, offering design flexibility for a wide current range.

Schurter’s compact, high performance single-phase filter family, FMAB NEO, offers 3 different levels of design flexibility. FMAB NEO design N comes with two large X capacitors that offer high symmetrical attenuation in the lower frequency range. The filter design P contains two standard X capacitors for high symmetrical attenuation, while Design Q offers one X capacitor for good symmetrical attenuation.

With the extended temperature range from -40°C to +100°C, all filters are suitable for applications used in harsh environments. Due to the FMAB NEO filter’s polished steel housing with a closed filter base, the filter is completely and effectively shielded, regardless of how it is mounted. The filter series is particularly suitable for equipment with high symmetrical interferences, such as devices with semiconductors that control high power equipment, including professional coffee machines, devices with water heaters, and all types of industrial electronics.

The filter family is fitted with plug-in connections or threaded bolts, and a version with wire connections is also available. The metal flange provides easy screw-on mounting. The series of filters is designed for current levels from 1A to 60A at 250 VAC according to IEC and UL standards. The FMAB NEO has ENEC and cURus approvals and is suited for applications according to IEC 60950. Versions are available with small leakage currents <80μA (M80) or without leakage current <5μA (M5) for medical equipment according to IEC/UL 60601-1.
