New Medical Technologies Showcased at Medtec 2016 Present LEMO’s Redel SP Connector and Northwire’s BioCompatic Cable

LEMO and Northwire feature fully integrated medical cable and connector solution.

Osceola, WI, USA — Custom cable assemblies for the life sciences engineered by cable manufacturer, Northwire, Inc., (NWI) and precision cable connector leader LEMO were featured among Medtec’s most recent innovations and technology within medical device design and medical manufacturing at its April 2016 Europe show.

Addressing the highly specialized considerations necessary for connectivity within the life sciences, LEMO’s new addition to the lightweight REDEL plastic Push-Pull connector series and Northwire’s robust USP Class VI silicone cable alternative, BioCompatic and BioCompatic II, are ideally suited to be paired together for an integrated medical cable assembly solution and were exhibited at Medtec 2016.

The REDEL SP connector’s patented internal push-pull latching system embedded in the shell offers both increased durability and very high contact density. With its proprietary sulfone construction, the REDEL SP connector stands up to extensive sterilization cycles, offers multiple contact configurations, and a variety of colors supporting ease in visual identification and avoidance of cross mating. The specially designed ergonomic grip within the shell allows surgeons and medical staff to easily mate and align the connections making the LEMO REDEL SP connectors an ideal solution for medical connector or measurement applications.

A cost-effective and USP Class VI alternative to silicon jacketed cable, BioCompatic was engineered by Northwire specifically to eliminate the extended curing process for silicon cable and incorporate improvements including robust resistance to chemicals, cuts, and abrasion.

Maintaining the advantages of traditional silicone cable including biocompatibility and sterilization resistance, BioCompatic provides an ideal medical cable solution as well as a quality cable assembly for diverse industrial cable and energy cable applications and more.

Bmark Energy Announces California Direct Access (DA) Program is Poised to Expand in PG&E, SCE and SDG&E

  • California’s Direct Access (DA) Program is Poised to Expand in PG&E, SCE and SDG&E
  • Many Commercial & Industrial DA Companies Currently Save 10-25%

Pismo Beach, CA, June 02, 2015 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — On April 21, 2015, California Senate Bill SB286 passed a Senate Energy, Utilities and Communications Committee (11-0) and indicates the legislature’s desire to support both individual choice (increase the DA CAP) and renewable energy.

This is Great News – and is Electricity Deregulation in Action

Many companies currently participating in the DA program appreciate substantial savings between 10-25% on their generation costs over fully-bundled utility rates, which is why the DA program is so popular and in high demand.

Going forward, we expect the bill to be amended to either phase in the CAP increases or impose some alternative type of participation CAP, and include a renewable energy purchase obligation for new participants.

The Committee Chairman supports the bill and would like to see the bill amended to increase the CAP by 8,000 GWh and would also like to see any new participants be taken from the utility wait list.

** This “Wait List” and Timing are Extremely Important **

To be considered for participation into the DA program, a Six-Month Notice to Transfer to Direct Access needs to be submitted by a company to their utility. With these notices, each utility creates their “Wait List” for any future DA openings that may occur under the CAP for the following year.

“It is extremely important that companies realize that the utility Wait Lists for 2016 are being formed NOW,” says Robert Kramb, president of Bmark Energy, “and the deadline is June 12 for any 2016 DA openings.”

Six-Month Notice to Transfer to Direct Access forms are sent to the utility June 8, 2015 – June 12, 2015. If you miss the June 12, 2015 deadline, any DA opportunity for 2016 is eliminated.

Next Steps to Take:

1- Contact us at Bmark Energy at: 805-773-3762 Ext. 3
2- Email your electric utility invoice to: robertk@bmarkenergy.com
3- We will complete the form and return it to you for your signature.
4- We will then submit the form during the utility enrollment period.

Here are links to additional information on Direct Access, regarding FAQs, as well as savings charts and graphs.

Industries that Benefit from Direct Access

Aerospace Biotech Financial Government Pharmaceuticals
Agriculture Chemicals Healthcare Education Chain Operations
Automotive Defense Industrial Steel/Metal Food Preparation

Bmark Energy follows the political-regulatory energy changes in California and understands the DA process. We have been alerting California companies to utility-regulatory changes and assisting them in obtaining lower energy costs for over 22 years for both natural gas and electricity. There are two ways to reach us for more information.

DuraFast Label Company Offers Fast, High Resolution Product Label Printing with the Epson TM-C7500G Gloss Color Label Printer

With resolution of up to 1200 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 11.8 inches per second, the Epson TM-C7500G Gloss color label printer is perfect for printing photo quality product labels.

Toronto (ON), Canada (May 27, 2015) — DuraFast Label Company is a certified Epson partner now offering the Epson TM-C7500G Gloss color label printer as well as replacement ink cartridges, supplies, accessories, and glossy labels designed specifically for use with this printer.

According to Basat Khalifa from DuraFast, the Epson TM-C7500G Gloss color label printer is ideal for companies that want to print their own product labels on demand. “The Epson ColorWorks C7500G produces gorgeous, full color glossy labels at 1200 by 600 dots per inch,” he said. “And it’s fast – nearly 12 inches per second.”

This speed is the result of a single-pass inkjet system. The Epson TM-C7500G Gloss color label printer includes a built-in unwinder, allowing for larger unattended print runs. “Labels can be printed and immediately wound onto the roll by using the optional TM-C7500 rewinder. The unwinder is contained within the machine and can hold media rolls up to 8″ outside diameter, or OD,” he explained. “If the user wants to bypass the unwinder and connect an external unwinder with larger rolls up to 12″ OD, that is also easy to do.”

The Epson TM-C7500G Gloss color label printer uses modified pigment-based inks specifically developed by Epson for prime label applications on materials such as glossy polypropylene, glossy clear polyester, and even glossy white polyester labels. The ink dries immediately, with no smudging or smearing. The label printer also uses high capacity CMYK ink cartridges.

“The Epson ColorWorks C7500G Gloss uses high yield ink cartridges, bringing the cost of ownership down,” Khalifa said. “We regularly provide our customers with ink cost analyses, and they’re usually pleasantly surprised at the cost savings in terms of operating costs. Not only that, they don’t have to stop production as frequently and there’s less waste, both of which add to the bottom line.”

According to Epson’s brochure, the Epson TM-C7500G Gloss has up to 50 percent lower printing costs than its competitors. Khalifa said that the Epson TM-C7500G sells for $8495 USD and is now being shipped to DuraFast customers across USA and Canada.

The Epson TM-C7500G Gloss label printer is designed for high volume “prime” label production. Prime labels are typically product labels featuring rich, colorful graphics and text. For example, fresh food producers can use this label printer to produce their own fresh food product labels such as labels for baked bread, fresh produce containers, cookies, deli meats, and gourmet foods.

A matte version of the Epson TM-C7500 is also available for printing highly durable GHS BS5609 chemical labels.

About DuraFast Label Company
Serving the “do-it-yourself” business market, DuraFast Label Company is a certified Epson partner that specializes in helping companies produce their own product labels in house. DuraFast Label Company offers a large selection of Epson ColorWorks label printers including both versions of the Epson TM-C7500 color label printer (Matte and Gloss), Epson TM-C3400, Epson TM-C3500, and Epson GP-C831.

Holman Ranch Vineyards & Winery Estate Wines and Wine Caves Announces its First Ever Late Harvest Pinot Noir

Holman Ranch Vineyards & Winery ’13 Late Harvest Pinot Noir “Big Daddy”

Carmel Valley, CA, April 21, 2015 — The estate wines of Holman Ranch include: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Pinot Noir. Holman Ranch’s 21 acres of vineyards lie between 950 and 1150 feet in elevation. The root stocks and soils are most important in producing excellent fruit from the vineyards.

The surrounding Santa Lucia Mountains are very important to Carmel Valley viticulture. The local hills hold back the marine layer and broad breezes, which is beneficial to producing consistently good fruit. Sedimentary soils, such as, chock rock and Carmel stone also play a major role in wine producing methods by providing good soil drainage. Holman Ranch “stresses the vines” of the fruit with emphasis on reproduction, which in turn, stops growth and ripens fruit. The valley configuration allows for fog in the morning but with it rapidly moving out as the air warms which is great for Pinot Noir grapes. The proximity to the ocean and the elevation are positive characteristics for the vines.

Holman Ranch’s vines are planted 15 degrees off due north which allows for all day sunlight on fruit zone and good protection from breeze. No chemical herbicides or pesticides are used on our fruit and we have received our sustainable and organic certification. Holman Ranch is also 100% estate vineyards and winery.

Holman Ranch’s wines are unfined and crafted to deliver the true varietal of the grape from harvest to table. Purity and passion are key ingredients in the wine-making process, and this is where Holman Ranch truly stands out.

Holman Ranch Announces Holman Ranch Vineyards & Winery ’13 Late Harvest Pinot Noir “Big Daddy”

• Our first ever Late Harvest Pinot Noir has been a long time in the making. 18 months in neutral French Oak and fortified with high proof brandy, this Big Daddy is warm and robust. Dark Chocolate notes are prominent, but the toast, raspberry jam and coffee notes almost make you want to have it for breakfast…..Hmmmm……..

• $45 – 375 ml

Wine Caves:
The winery at Holman Ranch, located in The Caves, is completely underground in order to take advantage of the natural cooling and humidity held below. The 3000 square foot area maintains a constant temperature of 58°F-60 °F and contains four 750 gallon tanks, four 1200 gallon tanks, and four open top tanks that can hold two tons each. One hundred (100) French oak barrels are maintained year round. Winery operations such as destemming, pressing, fermenting and aging take place within the cool environment of The Caves, while bottling is done directly outside using a mobile bottling line. During harvest, 6 to 8 tons of grapes a day are processed.

This may seem low but it is due to the fact that harvesting hours are between 7am to noon on any given day. Grapes are hand picked and loaded into half ton bins, transferred to the winery by tractor and then moved by forklift to the destemmer. White wines take around three weeks to ferment at 50°F and are bottled in February, while red varietals ferment for two weeks and are bottled in early June. All skins, seeds and stems are composted and returned to the fields. Slow months for our winery are June, July and August with the busiest time being September. The winery will produce 3000-5000 cases annually.

Vineyard & Winery Background:
Located at the north eastern tip of the Carmel Valley Appellation, the family-owned Holman Ranch resides approximately 12 miles inland from the Pacific Coast. Immersed in history and romance, the ranch has not only proven to be an excellent growing location for our vineyards but also for the Tuscan varietal olive trees which have flourished under the temperate climate.

• Our estate-grown wine varietals are planted on approximately 21 acres of undulating terrain.

• The wines produced are unfined and crafted to deliver the true varietal of the grape from harvest to bottle.

• The climate and terroir of the appellation has played a critical part in the success of our wines. The warmth of our inland valley coupled with the cooling marine layer has established itself as an ideal microclimate for the production of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Our Burgundy Clones have thrived from the perfect blend of ideal climate, southern exposure and thin rocky soils.

Holman Ranch Tasting Room:
Holman Ranch’s Carmel Valley tasting room offers the perfect backdrop to swirl, sip and savor the different complexities of Holman Ranch Vineyard and Winery wines. There is something for everyone (4 varietals in fact), from the full-bodied Pinot Noirs to the light, fruity flavors of our Pinot Gris and lightly oaked Chardonnay. Holman Ranch also offers estate grown and bottled Olive Oil available for tasting and purchase at the Tasting Room.

The Tasting Room showcases the estate wines of Holman Ranch which includes our Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Pinot Noir. Carefully hand-harvested, cold pressed and bottled, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced from the fruits of our Tuscan trees has a delightful spice followed by a buttery finish.

Three tasting flights of three wines each (White, Mountain and Pinot Noir) are available 7 days a week. The Tasting Room also holds a series of cooking demos called In Your Backyard. For more information, call (831) 659-2640.

Olive Grove:
Holman Ranch has its own distinctive olive grove located on a south facing hill of our vineyard. The grove is comprised of 100 trees with multiple cultivars planted. These cultivars consist of 25 Frantoio, 25 Leccino, 10 Mission, 25 Coratina, 5 Pendolino, and 10 Picholine, all of which were originally planted in 2194 in a Carmel Valley orchard then replanted at Holman Ranch in 2007. These mature olive trees allowed us to produce olive oil right away. They are planted in shale for the best production and harvesting results possible. We harvest our fruit by hand in December, which is then milled, producing a superb, high quality product. Although the Olive Grove is not certified organic, we do employ organic practices when farming our trees. Our mill, however, is certified organic. An interesting fact is that olive trees are alternate bearing, which means that one year they may produce 650, 375ml bottles worth of oil, while next year they may produce only 50, 375ml bottles.

New product launch: TechTable Pty Ltd announces the release of their flagship multi award winning product “TechTable” in the United States

DELIVERING ADVANCED SAFETY AND INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY TO THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY.

Sydney, Australia, October 28, 2014 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — The award-winning TechTable was officially launched in the US at the BICSI Fall conference and provides a portable, lightweight and sturdy work surface for communications technicians to safely and efficiently terminate fibre optic and copper communications cabling.

Installers of highly complex cabling projects have seen rapid advances and developments in termination technologies however there have been very little improvements in the cluttered and uncomfortable work environments.

By using the TechTable, installers can now perform tasks at waist height and easily rotate between standing and seated positions. The platform is height adjustable, stable and comfortable and allows technicians to temporarily mount a patch panels and components onto the table for faster loading, termination consistency and improved accuracy.

David McHarg, Managing Director of TechTable Pty Ltd commented “Installers are faced with fairly primitive working conditions, meaning that neck, shoulder and back pain is not uncommon. Often technicians sit on milk crates, or in the cabinet, and are squeezed into a confined spaces for hours at a time, I couldn’t help but think there must be a better way.”

After much of his own research, David formed a team consisting of OHS consultant Glenda Snoxall, ACT Safety Regulator and Ergonomist Richard Siddell and Peter McKay of Industrious Design to develop a solution. Following an in-depth risk assessment and report in accordance with the code of practice for the prevention of Musclo-Skeletal disorders 2007 the TechTable was designed to address the key features required from a health and safety aspect and ensured compliance with this code of practice.

Prior to commercial release, The TechTable was trialled by a number of communications and electrical service companies with feedback indicating that it not only offered a much more comfortable position than traditional installation methods, but also delivered far greater accuracy and speed. Testing also identified that manual handling risks were either eliminated or reduced, and the installer’s productivity was increased by up to 24%.

The TechTable is designed for easy daily transport inside a padded carry bag and the set-up time is less than one minute. The dimensions are designed to suit tight-fit positions in cluttered computer rack environments, telecommunications rooms and data centres.

Currently the Tech table is used throughout Australia and has successfully launched in the US. For more information, including product specifications and OHS/WHS data, visit TechTable (http://www.techtable.co)
