The taste of Pomegranate is now available in a pump bottle for the office water dispenser

January 4, 2011 – Gert Strand AB has, under the brand Aromhuset, developed 20 essences for flavouring carbonated water. These 20 are aimed at private consumers wanting either to flavour home-carbonated water, or to save money by adding flavour to shop-bought soda water. The flavours have become very popular thanks to their healthy properties, and now six of the most popular flavours are being launched in larger pump bottles for use with water dispensers in workplaces across the country.

Pomegranate is a rising star among the classic flavours, having a sophisticated, mature quality that is appreciated by many for its originality and somewhat distinctive taste. The other flavours in the range are blueberry, raspberry, peach, melon and apple – flavours you know and love.

The pump bottle contains 270 ml of essence, which is enough for 58 litres of water according to the standard dose. One pump is enough for the small plastic mugs usually found by water dispensers. They usually contain around 150 ml and are perfect for a quick drink on the go to top up your body’s water levels. Of course you can also fill a larger cup or bottle to take with you, in which case 3-4 pumps is about right for half a litre of water.

Most workplaces today should have a water dispenser available for their employees, as it is extremely important to drink plenty of water if you want to stay sharp and focused. As soon as the body starts to dehydrate you become slow, weak and tired, you will often develop a headache and have difficulty concentrating, all of which of course have a negative impact on your performance.

A lot of people forget to drink enough water, and then when they start to feel a little slow they head directly for the coffee machine for a caffeine hit. Caffeine is a diuretic, which means that it increases the rate of dehydration in the body, creating an evil circle. Instead of coffee, or at least as well as coffee, you should drink a glass of water. Usually this will have the same effect, if not a better one. It is certainly obvious that it is the healthier choice. Aromhuset’s essences let you enjoy flavoured sparkling water without compromising the health benefits – they contain neither sugar nor artificial sweeteners, and can be enjoyed by both diabetics and dieters.

A water dispenser at the office means that it is always possible to refresh yourself with pure, cold water. If this water is also flavoured and sparkling then there is a much greater chance that staff will both appreciate it and make use of this perk, which in the long run leads to healthier and more alert personnel. Everybody wins!

Pomegranate, predicts Gert Strand (the man behind both the concept and all the flavours), will be a highly appreciated taste that will appeal most to mature taste buds and is therefore well suited to the workplace. Strand also points out that he is on the lookout for new importers for his innovative essences.

The fresh taste of apple livens up the workplace

Apple is a flavour that most of us love and as a flavour in water it is a real success. Aromhuset has previously developed twenty flavours for carbonated water aimed at private consumers and sold in small bottles of 30 ml. These have achieved great success, and people appreciate the rich flavour as well as the fact that they are totally free from sugar, artificial sweeteners and calories. Apple has been a hot item and now the taste has been selected as one of the six to be released in bottles suitable for the workplace.

The other five flavours being launched in pump bottles are pomegranate – for the sophisticated; raspberry, for the summer lover; blueberry – for the nostalgic; melon – for those who prefer the more exotic; and peach – a soft, sweet, Swedish classic.

It is commonly known that drinking plenty of water is important, and we are told to drink between 1 and 2 litres of water every day – even more if we are active or sweating more than normal. Stressful situations, air conditioned offices and running in the corridors all contribute to an increased rate of dehydration. Apart from feeling weak and sluggish when dehydrated our ability to concentrate decreases and we become absent-minded, something Swedens managers realise are not the best prerequisites for effective staff.

It is easy to forget water. When you start to feel a little slow you head for the coffee machine for some refreshing caffeine. Coffee, like tea, is a diuretic and only contributes to dehydration in the body, meaning you get more sluggish the more coffee you drink. This simply creates an evil circle. Of course we do not need to stop drinking coffee, but developing the habit of always drinking water at the same time is good, and perhaps swapping a cup or two of coffee every day for a glass of water instead.

Regular tap water is perhaps not the most inspiring drink to enjoy at the workplace. That is why more and more employers are choosing to put water dispensers in the workplace, so staff can top up their water levels at regular intervals. These dispensers have coolers so the water will always be cold and fresh, and many of them have a separate tap for carbonated water. With Aromhuset’s essences it is easy to flavour this sparkling water, either with one pump straight into a small plastic mug that you can drink on the go, or with 3-4 pumps in a half litre bottle to take back to your work station. Strand is on the lookout for new importers world wide for his innovative flavours.

Give the water at work the summery taste of raspberry – all year round

The taste of raspberry belongs to summer. Now it is possible to add this lively taste to the carbonated water from the water dispenser at the office – all year round! Aromhuset is launching six of its twenty flavours for sparkling water in new packaging – a 270 millilitres pump bottle suitable for dosing water from the dispenser in the workplace.

Now six of the most popular flavours from the selection are being released in new packaging, suitable for use with workplace water dispensers across the country. One of the flavours being released is raspberry – a big favourite of many. The other flavours are apple, pomegranate, blueberry, peach and melon.

More and more employers are realising the value of letting their staff top up their water levels on a regular basis. Water is the biggest component, both of the planet and the human body, and a lot of people suffer from dehydration without even being aware of it. Clear signs that you are not drinking enough are problems with concentrating, headache or general tiredness – definitely conditions that employers would prefer their staff not suffer from. It is common to drink coffee to liven up and forget the most important drink – water. When you drink coffee you will become even more dehydrated, which only serves to create a vicious circle.

Warm, flat water from the tap is perhaps not the most attractive drink, and most people would agree that any other drink would be preferable, but water is very important, so wise employers are realising that investing in a water dispenser that both chills and carbonates the water is a smart move. In many workplaces the water dispenser is also a social hub – a place for staff to meet and exchange thoughts and ideas. A healthy place to socialise in other words. The staff increase their water intake and a new, healthy cycle is born.

If you would like to go one step further and offer employees the option of flavoured water then Aromhuset has the answer. With a practical pump bottle you can add as much flavour as you like to your water. The recommended dose is one pump for a regular 150 ml plastic cup, and 3-4 pumps for half a litre of water.

Aromhuset’s flavours for carbonated water at work contain, just like the flavours in the smaller bottles, no sugar or artificial sweeteners. The flavours are rich and full without damaging your health. This is one of the reasons why these flavours have become so popular. We are becoming more and more health conscious, and want to protect both ourselves and our children from too much sugar and unnecessary chemical additives. Stom also points out that he is on a world wide lookout for new importers for his innovative essences.

Each essence bottle contains 270 ml, which is enough for 58 litres of water – according to the standard dosage instructions. Naturally you are free to add more or less according to taste – it is completely up to each individual.

Naked Wines shortlisted for two Drinks Retailing Awards

New UK wine merchant up for two industry awards.

Online wine retailer Naked Wines , which supports and funds independent winemakers from around the world, has been shortlisted for two Drinks Retailing awards: Innovator of the Year and Online Wine Retailer of the Year.

The awards, organised by trade publication Off Licence News, were set-up 15 years ago to recognise the leading lights and the most outstanding retailers in the take-home drinks market.

Founded by former Virgin Money and Virgin Wines CEO Rowan Gormley, Naked Wines was recently named the UK’s Startups Business of the Year for its phenomenal growth both in sales and registered customers.

Rowan Gormley explains:

“When we launched, we knew we would only survive if we could deliver genuinely better wines for genuinely less money than our competitors and the only way to do that was to come up with a game changing model.

“In just over 2 years, we have over 100,000 customers investing £1m a month, for us to support independent winemakers. We have helped 22 winemakers establish their business by investing in the wines before theyve been made and between them, they’ve created 85 excusive new wines and won 37 international wine medals.

“The only reason that these 100,000 people trust us with their money and our 22 winemakers trust us with their wines, is that we are naked. Customers pick the wines and decide on the prices, and our winemakers can focus on what they do best as sales are guaranteed.”

Judged by a panel of top industry representatives and journalists, last year’s Drinks Retailing winners include Majestic, Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco.

Winners to be announced in February 2011.

The taste of soft, sweet peach in the carbonated water at your workplace increases health and well-being

The body’s water levels need to be topped up on a regular basis, otherwise you will begin to suffer from lack of concentration, headache and general sluggishness, all conditions that most of us would like to avoid – especially at work. At the workplace there should be a water dispenser to provide access to fresh, cool water that encourages personnel to drink water regularly. Offering employees access to cold, carbonated water and good flavours means their intake of water will increase, and as a result their health and job performance will also improve. It is a simple investment where everybody is a winner.

Aromhuset has previously launched twenty different flavours for carbonated water – all in smaller bottles measuring 30 ml suited for use at home. The response has been strongly positive, mainly because people have been waiting for a cheaper, environmentally friendly and healthier alternative to the sodas and pre-flavoured water available in the shops. With Aromhuset’s essences for carbonated water you are guaranteed a good taste free from sugar and artificial sweeteners, which means they can be appreciated by anybody – at any time.

Now six of the most popular flavours are being released in new packaging. This means a larger bottle, suitable for water dispensers across the country. The new bottle has a specially developed pump system where one pump is enough for a standard plastic cup measuring around 150 ml. 3-4 pumps is enough to dose half a litre of water.

The six flavours chosen for the new release are apple, peach, pomegranate, melon, raspberry and blueberry. Peach is a classic flavour that everybody loves, it is soft and sweet and highly suited as a flavour in carbonated water. Each bottle contains 270 ml of essence, which is enough for about 68 litres of water – assuming you use the recommended dose. Of course you can add more or less according to your own preferences. Strand also points out that he is on the lookout for new importers world wide.

Regular tap water often seems uninspiring, and small half litre bottles of flavoured sparkling water are unreasonably expensive. With access to this type of water at work the general well-being and health will improve, and don’t be surprised if fewer people are drinking coffee. Too often we drink coffee to refresh ourselves, but if you make sure the water levels in the body stay balanced you will not feel as tired or sluggish.

Restaurant Business Plan Software Hits Ten Thousandth Customer Milestone

San Diego, CA – December 11, 2010 – RestaurantFunds.com, a division of CapForge Software, reported reaching its ten thousandth customer this past week. Started in mid 2002 as an offshoot of an in-house consulting tool, the restaurant business plan package has enabled aspiring restaurant owners to develop their business plans and financial projections to raise the money required to start a restaurant without having previous industry experience or any accounting background.

The Restaurant Success Kit package as it is called includes tools for creating a business plan, five year financial projections and a slide-show presentation as well as a two hundred plus page ebook on how to run a profitable restaurant and many other related guides and information resources. The software is sold exclusively online through the website as a download.

“We are proud of this accomplishment and proud of our product,” said CapForge CEO Matt Remuzzi, co-creator of the product and long time business consultant. “We spent a lot of time working on this package so that not only would it be super easy to use but it would also deliver a solid plan and very realistic numbers that are going to be in line with industry expectations.”

Remuzzi also stated that they offer unlimited support with the product and the support is provided by business consultants familiar with the industry and getting businesses capitalized not just low level customer service or tech support workers. He attributes that support plus the one year refund guarantee as a big part of what makes customers comfortable ordering online from his relatively unknown firm.

RestaurantFunds.com offers customers two options in ordering the package. The first is the software only for $97 and the other is the software plus two rounds of professional review of the plan and financials by a CapForge consultant for $149. The review offers customers a chance to have someone familiar with the industry look over the work and offer an opinion on where it could be improved and whether the numbers need some additional adjustment before it gets formally presented to potential investors and lenders.

Remuzzi said, “As good as our package is there is really no substitute for having a professional go over the work and identify the small changes and improvements that can be added to significantly increase the chances of success that most people who have never done this before just aren’t going to catch on their own.”

RestaurantFunds.com offers restaurant business plan software and consulting services via its website and was founded in 2002. It is owned by CapForge, Inc. a software and consulting company based in San Diego, CA.

UK wine retailer challenges Facebook fans to get creative

Naked Wines is offering a £3000 prize fund to their most creative Facebook fans, with their new ‘Consequences’ competition.

UK online wine retailer Naked Wines, which was recently named the UK Startups Business of the Year, has launched a Facebook competition offering their most imaginative customers the chance to win one of three Naked parties worth £1000 each.

Created in-house as part of their second birthday celebrations, Founder Rowan Gormley explains:

Remember the old parlour game consequences – where players take it in turns to answer a question to form a short story? Well, wave brought it online!

The idea is to start a story, pass it onto your friends to finish and the three funniest stories will each win a whole load of food and wine worth £1000.

Wave had some hilarious entries in the first couple of days, so the bars set quite high.

As well as several crates of wine, the winners will receive parcels from Thornton’s, the Well-Hung Meat Company and Ales By Mail.com – all partners of Naked Wines

The three winners will be announced just ahead of Christmas, and all entrants will receive a £40 Wine Voucher to enjoy with the retailer.

To find out more about the competition, or to kick-start an entry, visit http://apps.facebook.com/winaparty/
