London’s South Bank is Set to Offer Londoners an Exuberant Programme of Events and Entertainment for Summer 2013

The minute a ray of sunshine envelopes London, the South Bank is transformed into the capital’s hub of al fresco comedy, theatre and variety performance. At the centre of this is the Udderbelly Festival, which will return in 2013 for its fifth year.Open in spring and running throughout the summer, Udderbelly plants a giant upside-down purple cow outside London’s Southbank Centre and stages a diverse programme of entertainment. Ranging from classic stand-up to intriguing fringe, the iconic fixture hosts a number of award-winning London events and one of the biggest outdoor bars in central London.

Also returning to the South Bank is London Wonderground. Following its inaugural year in 2012, Wonderground will stage five months of cabaret, circus and sideshow within its outdoor playground and giant Spiegeltent. Its headline show will be Limbo, which combines a heady mix of heart-stopping illusions, meticulous manoeuvres and breath taking dance moves.

Further down the Thames, opposite the Tower of London, the Scoop at More London’s outdoor amphitheatre will offer another summer of free theatre, film screenings, live music and community events. The ‘king of al fresco venues’ splits its summer season into four months, with each dedicated to a specific genre. Among the fifteen shows there will be three world premieres: Gabriel, Blue Stockings and The Lightning Child, while classics such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest and The Taming of the Shrew will offer special midnight matinees.

The Southbank Centre’s Meltdown Festival returns to London for 2013 and this year cultural icon Yoko Ono is taking the reins. This will be the 20 th anniversary of the festival and Ono, who celebrates her own 80 th birthday this year, will bring a lifetime of achievement in music, visual art and peace activism to the occasion. From Live Music To Al Fresco Dance And Aliens To Sailors, Greenwich Is Set For A Busy Summer Of Activities

This summer the O2 Arena’s programme is undoubtedly diverse, from golden oldies to contemporary pop and soulful swing to gritty rock. Kicking off the season is veteran rocker Rod Stewart. Part of his Live the Life Tour and on the back of his latest studio album Time , Stewart will perform two nights of live music. In contrast, former burlesque performer Paloma Faith will take to the stage the following night to perform tracks from her latest album Fall to Grace, which has just reached Platinum status in the UK . For visitors hoping to stay near the arena, a wide variety of hotels in London can be found on LondonTown.com.

Renowned for his soulful voice that makes women swoon and his charm that makes men weep, Grammy Award-winning and chart-topping Michael Bublé will come to London to perform at the arena for six nights in June, which is the third longest run of dates performed at the venue by a male solo artist – beaten only by Prince and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters.

The month will also see rock of two different ages from Kings of Leon and The Who, while later in the year iconic band Fleetwood Mac come to the O2 for a much anticipated tour. Marking 35 years since the release of their classic album Rumours , the London performances will see original members Mick Fleetwood and John McVie joined by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, who both joined in 1975.

Away from the music, Eddie Izzard will take off his trainers and embark on a marathon of another sort. Part of his Force Majeure (force of nature) tour – the most extensive comedy tour ever with 25 countries throughout Europe, Africa, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal and The Far East on the schedule – Izzard will be dropping by London for two nights.

Returning for their second spellbinding show in London this year – the first being Kooza in January – Cirque Du Soleil present Alegria in July. A classic Cirque Du Soleil production, Alegria is one of the company’s most popular performances and has received international acclaim since its 1994 premiere in Montreal . Later in the summer it will be the public’s turn to test their strength and stamina with Run to the Beat, London ‘s official music half marathon.

London ‘s leading festival of free outdoor performing arts, the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival is back for 2013 with nine days of theatre, dance and street arts. This year’s festival opens on midsummer’s day (21 st June) and is attempting to recapture the spirit of Olympic London.Part of the Royal Greenwich Festivals, the Greenwich Dances festival brings a vibrant celebration of dance to the area with a six week programme of workshops and dance performances. Popping up in streets, parks, libraries and museums, the festival will bring dance to unexpected places and offer an unexpected moment of entertainment.

Questioning whether we are alone in the universe or if aliens really do exist, The Royal Observatory Greenwich will be continuing its Alien Season. Along with talks, exhibitions and interactive entertainment, the season will also include a number of SciFi movie nights, with screenings of classic science fiction movies that feature aliens.

Families will be treated to a summer of fun on the recently restored Cutty Sark. With a number of ‘Summer at Sea’ events to choose from, the ship will also invite its longest serving master, Captain Woodget, to tell tales of his voyages across the high seas. While John Simmons: A Sailor’s Trafalgar Story will be an interactive performance that explores what is was like to be a black sailor in Nelson’s navy.

Youth Production Company in Rhinebeck New York Gearing Up For “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”

INSPIRED IN PART BY FAMILY ENCOUNTER WITH STEVEN SPIELBERG, NEXTQUEST PRODUCTIONS LAUNCHES THEATER COMPANY WITH TONY-AWARD WINNING VERSION OF “YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN”.

Poughkeepsie, New York (April 20, 2013) — When Matt Hagerty’s grandfather had the chance to meet and dialogue with Steven Spielberg’s father years ago, he had no idea that the encounter could potentially define his own grandson’s career.

“My grandfather had the opportunity to hear first-hand about Mr. Spielberg’s investment into his son’s dream, and the story of that encounter ended up inspiring my dad to support my launch of NextQuest”, shared seventeen-year-old Matt Hagerty of Rhinebeck, who, along with three other school-age trustees, founded NextQuest Productions and is now serving as President (along with his role as Snoopy). “The Hudson Valley is a theatrical hotbed of sorts, and we are ecstatic to be joining the scene. Our prices for the pilot production, ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown’, set for May 24, 25, and 26 at Cunneen-Hackett, are the lowest around. We believe that seeing a professional-quality show should be an experience that everyone should be able to access at an affordable rate”.

Nicole Tarcza, Director and Choreographer, Co-founder and Trustee states, “one would be hard-pressed to find anyone who does not know of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. We wanted to reach families and appeal to all ages. The musical touches on a broad range of emotions, from day-to-day frustrations to genuine feelings of happiness in life”.

The team of youth who have organized the production and purchased the rights to the play made a very deliberate philosophical choice when it came to venue. “The main draw of Cunneen-Hackett is its charm. The intimate setting of this historic space is ideal for this show. Charlie Brown is about simplicity; it’s a perfect match, a venue where we can bring Charlie and his friends to life”, said Tarcza.

“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” showtime and ticket information is as follows:
Friday, May 24th; 7:30pm; Saturday, May 25th, 2pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, May 26th, 3pm at Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center, 12 Vassar Street, Poughkeepsie, New York. Email tickets@nextquestproductions.org or visit nextquestproductions.org. Ticket prices are $8 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under. The production will be directed by Nicole Tarcza and feature Matt Harshberger as Charlie Brown, Niki Metcalf as Sally Brown,Thomas Netter as Linus Van Pelt, Abbey Ressa as Lucy Van Pelt, Thomas Hricisak as Schroeder, and Matt Hagerty as Snoopy.

Gold Diggers Invited to Come Out of the Closet

The Society of Single Professionals, the world’s largest non-profit singles organization, invites Gold Diggers (aka Sugar Babies) to come out of the closet of the following events.

San Rafael, CA, April 18, 2013 — Contact: Tom Andrews, 415/507-9962

“Now that it is fashionable to be gay,” says Rich Gosse, spokesman for SugarDaddyForMe.com, “it’s time for Gold Diggers to come out of the closet. For thousands of years most women have considered financial security to be the most important quality they seek in a potential mate. This is true in virtually all countries and all cultures around the world. Unfortunately, it’s not socially acceptable to admit to being a Gold Digger. We aim to change this.

“There are two types of Gold Diggers,” says Mr. Gosse. Predatory Gold Diggers are women who exploit prosperous men. Their only interest in them is their money. Predatory Gold Diggers only pretend to love wealthy men. They give the second type a bad name. Loving Gold Diggers are women who value financial security as a top priority in selecting a mate, but also are sincerely attracted to men for their personal qualities.”

The Society of Single Professionals, the world’s largest non-profit singles organization, invites Gold Diggers (aka Sugar Babies) to come out of the closet at the following events:

– Sugar Daddy Extravaganza, Thursday, April 25, Copacabana, New York City
– San Francisco’s First Gold Digger Party, Saturday, May 11, Carbon Lounge
– World’s First Gold Digger Cruise, November 14-18

Rich Gosse, Chairman of The Society of Single Professionals, is America’s foremost authority on finding a romantic partner. He is the author of eight books on this topic, including You CAN Hurry Love, Singles Guide to America, and A Good Man Is EASY to Find (“This is a great book!” Oprah Winfrey). His entertaining advice has been featured by ABC, BBC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, Fox News Live, MSNBC, Oprah, Donahue, Cosmopolitan, Newsweek, Entrepreneur, Business Week, Playboy, Playgirl, The Wall Street Journal, London Times, The Australian, The New Zealand Herald, etc. Mr. Gosse is available to the news media to discuss the Gold Digger Phenomenon by calling 415/479-3800. Author Victoria Richards Announces 3rd book in The Banshee’s Embrace Trilogy

Readers of Victoria Richards’ book will be able to read the conclusion to The Banshee’s Embrace trilogy, just released and published on Amazon. Kindle version is now available with paperback copies of the book due out by the end of the month.

Los Angeles, CA, April 15, 2013 – Victoria Richards announced today the release of her third book in the trilogy, The Banshee’s Revenge. Readers of the first two books have been eagerly awaiting the conclusion to the trilogy.

Her trilogy is about half human, half banshee, Jacqueline Houston who exists between worlds. In love with human wizard, Toby Williams, her love for him keeps her tied to her humanity while forces beyond her control tear her away.

Richards writes paranormal romance books that capture both the heart and the imagination. Her love scenes can get quite steamy and her descriptions of the paranormal downright bizarre.

In The Banshee’s Embrace trilogy we are introduced to Jacqueline Houston whose husband was killed by evil wizards. During the attack she was wounded and almost killed, but her husband saved her life at the last moment- with magic. Something unexpected happened that turned Jacqueline into a half banshee; a woman of Celtic decent able to see death and help those who have died to cross over to the other side. In book 1 she is introduced to Toby Williams, a wizard. Attraction and sparks fly, but an evil wizard clan seeks to capture Jacqueline for their own use as a powerful weapon.

In book 2, The Banshee’s Desire, Jacqueline must come to grips with her enormous powers, and use them only to help those in need of crossing over. Human temptation overcomes her as she reaps the souls of those whose time has not yet come.

In the final book in the trilogy, The Banshee’s Revenge, Jacqueline is on a rampage, out for vengeance to destroy the wizards who have tried to kill those close to her. The one she wants most is an ancient wizard and the evil leader of The Brotherhood, who wants her dead. Toby wants her back in his arms, safe from herself and the evil around her; but how will he accomplish this when her powers are beyond anyone’s control? His answer comes in the form of the Celtic goddess, Morrigan who visits him and proposes a plan, but one of great risk. In book 3 we learn some shocking truths about Jacqueline and where she inherited her immense powers from. But can Toby save her? Will Jacqueline destroy herself and those around her? Victoria Richards leads us down a path of mystery, enchantment and romance, which keeps us guessing right up until the very end.

This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys an entertaining paranormal romance story, filled with love, magic and the mystery of the unknown.
