Award Winning Artist Rachael Sage to Release Acoustic/Folk Version of Latest Album “Choreographic”

Independent Music Award winning singer-songwriter Rachael Sage is excited to announce the release of CHOREOGRAPHIC (ACOUSTIC), the acoustic and folk-oriented reimagining of her latest album CHOREOGRAPHIC.

New York, NY, July 29, 2016 – Independent Music Award winning singer-songwriter Rachael Sage is excited to announce the release of CHOREOGRAPHIC (ACOUSTIC), the acoustic and folk-oriented reimagining of her latest album CHOREOGRAPHIC. Available on August 5, the acoustic album features ten new versions of songs from the main release, and Rachael’s charming cover of So Far Away, the Carole King classic.

A love letter to her early days as a dancer and also to her more recent collaborators in the world of lyrical dance, CHOREOGRAPHIC (ACOUSTIC) strips back the original album’s layered production in favor of more intimate instrumentation; the lyrics and melodies are front and center in these special Acoustic Radio mixes. The uplifting, harmony-drenched Home (feat. rising artist Matt Nakoa) reflects on the mystery and romance of the big city, while 7 Angels (feat. Peter Himmelman) chronicles the true story of New York’s most tragic fire in years, inadvertently caused by Sabbath observance. The playful, accordion-drenched Loreena was composed by Sage in a dream and nods to her inspiration Loreena McKennitt, and It Would Be Enough was written in honor of the late BB King, whose music crossed every conceivable barrier and who was Sage’s father’s favorite bluesman. The album closes with Rachael’s cover of Carole King’s So Far Away.

On her most acoustic recording to date, Sage is joined by longtime collaborators Kelly Halloran (Tom Morello, Michael Franti) – fiddle and Ward Williams (Brandi Carlile) – cello, as well as cellist Dave Eggar (Pete Seeger, Amber Rubarth), Jack Petruzelli (Rufus Wainwright) and James Mastro (Amy Speace) – guitar. Produced by Sage and Grammy® Winner Andy Zulla (Stephen Kellogg, The Sweet Remains), “Choreographic” features Sage’s delicate guitar work, innovative piano playing and evocative vocals.

Rachael Sage’s latest album CHOREOGRAPHIC is a collection of songs inspired by her very first love: Dance. The songs on CHOREOGRAPHIC were all sparked by the singular theme of movement through music, and composed very quickly by Sage during a week-long stint in a London hotel room. A former ballet dancer who attended The School Of American Ballet as a child, Sage learned to play music by ear listening to classical music while performing in such Balanchine ballets as “The Nutcracker” and “Coppélia” with The New York City Ballet; folk and popular influences came much later, but that musical platform was the lifeblood that enabled Sage to write her own songs and make sense of the world around her, from age five.

About Rachael Sage:
Rachael Sage is an award-winning singer/songwriter and producer from NYC who has become one of the busiest touring artists in indie music, performing 100+ dates a year throughout the US, UK and Europe. She has shared stages with Dar Williams, Ani DiFranco, Judy Collins, Marc Cohn, Al Stewart and Shawn Colvin, among others. Her “Choreographic” tour will continue throughout 2016.

Artist Statement: “As a contemporary folk artist inspired by Celtic and Middle Eastern traditions as well as classical music from my ballet career, I’ve always had so much respect for the folk and acoustic community. At heart, I am a storyteller foremost – and it’s never been more important to me to be a part of this tradition, weaving my songs about love, loss and renewal into this rich, ongoing fabric.”

During 2016’s National Disaster Preparedness Month, Capital Insurance Group® to hold its 4th Annual CIG Insurance Community Safety Saturday™ on September 10, 2016 at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center

This free community event, hosted by Capital Insurance Group (CIG), will provide valuable safety information and activities for the whole family, including important fire prevention tips and how to deal with emergencies! Children, teens and adults alike will learn how to “play it safe”.

Monterey, CA, July 27, 2016 – Let’s get prepared! If an emergency occurred tomorrow, would you be ready? September is National Preparedness Month and Capital Insurance Group® is – hosting its 4th Annual CIG Insurance Community Safety Saturday™ on September 10, 2016 at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

National Preparedness Month, sponsored by FEMA (www.fema.gov), aims to educate and empower Americans to prepare for and respond to all types of emergencies, including natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks. National Preparedness Month is a time to prepare yourself and those in your care for emergencies and disasters, both large scale and smaller local events.

Get Prepared!
Each of us can make a difference in our own community but many of us have not taken the time to learn the latest information about preparedness. Research on personal preparedness indicates that individuals who believe they are prepared for disasters often times are not as prepared as they think. In addition, some admit they do not plan to prepare at all. The challenge is maximizing awareness and encouraging participation in disaster preparedness activities to affect change at the community level.

Dr. Sarah W. Blackstone, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV) of the Monterey Peninsula explains, “Disasters occur infrequently but emergencies occur daily –whether it is an accident or fire at home, a medical emergency, a tree falling on your house and so many other types of emergencies that can happen to us and those we care about. It’s important to take the time to learn how to become better prepared to deal with these occurrences!”

Our nation’s emergency managers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMT/paramedics, and other emergency responders do an incredible job of keeping us safe, but they cannot do it alone. We must all embrace our personal responsibility to be prepared and help contribute to the safety and security of our communities as well.

Make sure that you and your family are prepared for an emergency. Ensure that you can go for at least three days without electricity, water service, access to a supermarket, or other local services.

A few important steps to take:
• Prepare a disaster supply kit with at least three days of food and water. You can learn how to prepare one from the many emergency & safety organizations at CIG Insurance Community Safety Saturday.
• Create a Family Emergency Plan, so that your family knows how to communicate during an emergency.
• Obtain a NOAA Weather Radio.
Dick Bower, Emergency Planner with the Monterey County Office of Emergency Services provided some local statistics from last year:
– In 2015, Monterey County was impacted by 9 incidents that were severe enough for the Office of Emergency Services to track response and recovery activities.
– In three of those incidents, the County Emergency Operations Center was activated to support the response and recovery.
– The most significant incident of 2015 was the Tassajara Fire which burned approximately 1,100 acres of land and 20 structures in the Tassajara/Cachagua area.
– The Alert Monterey County emergency notification system saw an additional 9,700 people register for service bringing total participation to 13,757 phones.
– In late 2015, OES began forming the Resilient Monterey County Partnership which has now grown to 7 participating organizations with ongoing recruitment.

The Monterey County Office of Emergency Services also has a very helpful online Disaster Plan about preparing for disasters at http://www.co.monterey.ca.us/oes/Preparedness%20-%20Families.asp

Legendary Singer-Songwriter and Producer Bunny Sigler Releases Inspiring New Single “Stand Up” On July 25, 2016

“Stand Up” is the latest single from Sigler’s critically acclaimed 2015 CD, ‘Bundino’

Los Angeles, CA, July 27, 2016 – Four-time Grammy winning producer-singer-songwriter Bunny Sigler is proud to announce the release of his newest single, “Stand Up”, from his critically acclaimed 2015 album Bundino. “Stand Up” will be released on Friday, July 25. The prolific songwriter who helped shape the legendary “Philly Sound” hopes the track will serve as inspiration to his listeners to do what’s right.

“Stand Up” is an anthemic and extremely danceable song thanks to Sigler’s inspiring lyrics and the stellar production by Sigler and collaborator Noisette “Saint Man” St. Jean Jr. Sigler also turns in a vocal performance fully deserving of his “Mr. Emotion” nickname, all while stressing the importance of equality, education and respect. According to Sigler, the track “portrays the message that one should always stand up for his or her beliefs.” The closing track to Sigler’s latest album, Bundino, “Stand Up” features an infectious beat and soaring chorus that cement the song as an inspirational summer jam for fans of R&B, pop, and dance music.

Complete with soulful ballads, nostalgic and funky songs, Bunny Sigler hones in on a contemporary sound with his latest album Bundino, which delivers 14 brilliant R&B tracks. Released in May 2015, the album features Sigler’s signature croons and songwriting while paying homage to his 50+ year career in the music industry. Sigler also has a wide variety of videos available on his YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/user/MrBunnySigler/. After recent performances in New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Spain, Sigler is ready to hit the road again and bring his live performances worldwide.

“…Sigler has no problem with shaking things up, and he demonstrates his comfort with envelope pushing through Bundino.” –Soul Tracks

About Bunny Sigler:
Bunny Sigler was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 27, 1941. The industry gave him the nickname “Mr. Emotion” after his heartfelt performances on stage. Rising to prominence with the Philly soul sound in the 1970’s, Sigler got a chance to work with a number of acts as a writer and/or producer, including the Whispers, Ecstacy, Passion And Pain and Carl Carlton. He cut tracks for artists on Curtis Mayfield’s Curtom label, including Mayfield himself (“Trippin’ Out”), and song on a duet album with Barbara Mason. In 1976, Sigler set up an album deal for Instant Funk with Gamble and Huff’s TSOP label.

Creating several hits over the span of his career (many of which are still being sampled in today’s generation), Bunny continues to write, produce and record new material. He is the co-writer of the song “The Ruler’s Back” which was an opening song for Jay Z’s album, “Blueprint”. Even at over 70 years old, “there ain’t no stopping us now” claims Sigler, as he gets ready to release “Stand Up,” the next in a long line of hit songs.

“We have positioned DC as the flashpoint for New Media, exposing the District to new and ever expanding web platforms. By introducing Washingtonians to this web content, some of it produced in their own backyard, they will hopefully be inspired to become more engaged in this inventive art form which bolsters the local creative economy,” says Ghadar.

This year’s festival has broadened its scope to include all forms of digital storytelling and technology, from gaming to AI, to online publishing and more. It will also include a gathering of special guests and presenters who represent thought leaders in the industry.

The event is ideal for media specialists and technology enthusiasts, artists, filmmakers, bloggers, story tellers, and entrepreneurs who are interested in this transforming the world of entertainment, says Ghadar.

As the event founder, Ghadar literally wrote the book on the topic. In 2016, she authored the digital media industry’s first textbook, The Wild West of Film, a guide for creative professionals and teaches novices and experts alike how to create, market and manage in the digital age.

As one of the web series medium’s earliest adopters, Ghadar is a true forerunner of digital media. She launched the webshow, Orange Juice in the Bishops Garden (OJBG), which became the longest continually running show online. With an international audience in over 145 countries, OJBG has been recognized not only by a loyal global following, but also by industry heavy hitters. OJBG is a six-time Telly Awards Winner, a four-time LA Web Fest Winner, a three-time Webby Awards Official Honoree, among others.

She is also the founder and president of DC-based digital media company 20/20 Productions. With its content, the company has become the destination for non-geoblocked, globally available programming.

Past presenters of the annual event have included: and Elaine McMillion Sheldon, Emmy nominated for New Approaches in a Documentary; Catherine Carnovale of Sullivan Entertainment in Canada; Justin Aitel, head of Dow Jones Cyber Security and Special Projects; Ryan Holladay, TED Fellow, Apsen Ideas Scholar and Artist in Residence at Stanford University; Philippa Hughs, Pink Line Project; Dan Vely, Comedian and Writer, HBO’s Enlightened and Comedy Central Presents; Stephani DeLuca, Production Coordinator, “Gossip Girl” and “The Amazing Spider Man 2”; Morgan Hungerford West of “aCreative DC”; and Clint Gaige, filmmaker of “Shotgun Mythos.”
