All Botanicals Art Competition Winners!

For the month of May, Contemporary Art Gallery Online received entries for: paintings, photography and digital art, as well as mixed media & three dimensional categories; as part of the ALL Botanical Art competition.  As Sonny Rollins once said “It’s all about creation and surprise.  It just needs to be appreciated and watered like flowers. …”  Life is captured in the creation of art.  Like flowers, art requires nurturing.  The Artists this month presented their creations and indeed surprised the viewers with striking, colorful images, celebrating everything botanical.  The “ALL Botanical” exhibition opened June 1, 2016 and the winners were announced June 17, 2016.

In the paintings category:

Deborah Bigeleisen received Best in Show for “Energy 4”; Judges Choice was awarded to, Julie Howard for “Gerbergarious”; and Aimee Nesbitt received the Gallery Choice recognition for “Aloe”. The following artists and their works placed respectively:  Sweety Saradha Pandiarajan for, “Bloom”; Leisa Luis-Grill for, “Hidden Oasis”; Janis Grau for, “Supreme Sultan Iris”; Jude Tolar for, “Backlit Daffodils”; while Jenay Elder and Sim Sia Fern tied for both “Orchids and Fruit” and “Pink Lotus”.

In the photography and digital art category:

Sean Coffman received Best in Show for “Gerbera Desconstructed 10” while Joan Miller received Judges Choice and Jacqueline Young was named Gallery Choice. The following artists also demonstrated the most quality in the consistency of their work:  Joan Miller, Jacqueline Young, Jessica Manelis, Bridget Wiss, Aisha Tomlin, Tisha Clinkenbeard, Karen Sirnick and Vivian Bond.

In the mixed media and three dimensional category:

Darnell Evans received Best in Show for “I Eu, Stephanie Neville, Anthony Dallman-Jones and Bob Craig were all recognized for their whimsical, creative and non-traditional depictions of flowers.
