Pop-Soul Singer/Songwriter James Patrick Morgan to Release ‘Art+Work=Love’ EP on February 17

First single “Expected” released to critical acclaim in December 2016

Los Angeles, CA, February 7, 2017 – James Patrick Morgan, the Atlanta-based pop-rock and soul singer/songwriter, is set to release his brand new EP ‘Art + Work = Love’ via Cloverland Entertainment/InGrooves. ‘Art + Work = Love’ will be available on iTunes and all major digital outlets on February 17. Morgan describes this five-song collection as one which “represents [him] better than most past recordings…” As an artist who plays up to 10 shows each week, he recognizes the importance that ‘Art + Work = Love’ captures much more of “what [he does] in a live setting,” than previous releases. The EP was recorded in several legendary studios across the United States such as Los Angeles’ East West Studios, where the Beach Boys recorded many of their hits, and the storied Blackbird Studio in Nashville, TN. Morgan says the goal of the EP, and of his artistry, is to “show people that it’s okay to be present and feel.” This is something he does with remarkable success on ‘Art + Work = Love,’ recalling classic artists such as Sam Cooke and Dave Matthews, but doing so in a fresh and exciting way.

There’s superb production here married with an intelligent approach that keeps the track lively from the first second to last. – Skope Magazine, on “Expected”

The first single from ‘Art + Work = Love’ – titled “Expected” – is also the first song on the EP. “Expected” is currently available to stream via SoundCloud. Morgan says that “songwriting comes easily” to him, and it’s evident that is true from the opening notes of “Expected.” The Sony Southern Talent Expo winner’s wide ranging influences from blues to soul to pop and soft rock are all given time on the track – from the acoustic verses to the catchy horn lines and soulful vocal harmonies on the chorus. The song features an infectious, danceable groove that carries the listener through the story of two people sharing “one night, two nights, three nights” and eventually falling in love.

About James Patrick Morgan:

Already a favorite in the Atlanta music scene, Pop-Soul singer songwriter James Patrick Morgan has spent years honing his sound while playing 300-plus shows a year, performing covers and originals as well. The Athens, GA native has just completed a collection of new music entitled: ‘Art + Work = Love.’ The EP illustrates his myriad of musical influences, and crackles with the energy he brings to his live shows. The new EP will give the rest of the world a chance to experience the soulful grooves and upbeat energy that are Morgan’s musical hallmark. Produced by studio ace David Huff, the EP is full of infectious grooves and pure soul, highlighting James’ love of R&B and funk.

With years of performing under his belt James has 1500 covers in his repertoire, and he includes an impressive take on Steve Miller’s “Fly Like An Eagle” on the new EP as well. He’s eager and ready to begin taking these songs to much bigger stages, and is thrilled at the chance to not only perform for bigger crowds, but also to make a positive impact on people with his music in the process.

Protecting Patients and Preventing Drug Diversion: Senator Alloway, Representative Nesbit Introduce Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society’s E-prescribing Legislation

Today, State Senator Richard Alloway and State Representative Tedd Nesbit announced the introduction of legislation to mandate the electronic prescribing of opioid medications.

Harrisburg, PA, February 06, 2017 – Today, State Senator Richard Alloway and State Representative Tedd Nesbit announced the introduction of legislation to mandate the electronic prescribing of opioid medications. The bill is an initiative of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society (POS). Society President Patrick Smith, MD, as well as POS board members, joined legislators in the Main Capitol Rotunda to announce the legislation.

“We stand with Senator Alloway and Representative Nesbit to advance a solution that works in the fight against opioid addiction,” Smith said. “Opioid e-prescribing will absolutely reduce drug diversion due to written prescriptions being lost, stolen or sold. It just plain makes sense in 2017. We thank Senator Alloway, Representative Nesbit and all the other legislators who have joined us today to gain this vital patient protection measure.”

Currently, Pennsylvania law requires opioid prescriptions to be handwritten. A vestige of the pre-internet era, this statute has not been updated since the 1990s. Although physicians may prescribe all other medicine by electronic means, opioids must still be prescribed by handwritten prescriptions. The Alloway and Nesbit bills (SB 299 and HB 353) ?will bring opioid prescribing into the 21st Century.

“Patients and physicians throughout the Commonwealth can feel more secure now that legislative action is pending on opioid e-prescribing,” Smith said. “Paper scripts will no longer put our communities at risk of drug diversion and hamper patient care. We respectfully request the General Assembly to quickly move this solution that works.”

In addition to reducing drug diversion, opioid e-prescribing will add to patient convenience. Like with other medications, opioid e-prescribing will reduce patient wait times in pharmacies. It will also increase patient security by eliminating the risk of opioid prescriptions being stolen.

“There are a multitude of reasons for the current opioid addiction crisis and the General Assembly took important steps last session to turn the tide against it. Opioid e-prescribing is a simple and effective solution and should be added to the arsenal of weapons available to physicians to combat the crisis,” Smith concluded.

Advocating for excellence in the practice of orthopaedic medicine, POS is a professional medical specialty organization representing more than 1000 orthopaedic surgeons across Pennsylvania. Introducing Boomer Media Agency “Marketing by and for Baby Boomers”

Engaging the Wealthiest Market Today with the Boomer Media Agency.

Boca Raton, FL, USA — With 77.3 million baby boomers controlling up to 70% of all the financial assets in the USA and 76% of all discretionary income spent on products and services, why is less than 5% of all advertising dollars being directed at the Baby Boomers? The 50+ market that so many advertisers intentionally ignore isn’t big, it’s HUGE! We are pleased to introduce the Boomer Media Agency, Media Planning and Buying inclusive of all Social Media Programs exclusively for the 50+ Demographic.

According to Greg Black, President and CEO stated, “We are a unique, passionate and the BIGGEST MARKET OPPORTUNITY in the U.S. today. It’s very simple: Boomers don’t act old or feel old or play like old folks and they are NOT tightwads, in fact they make the most amount of money and spend what they make. So why aren’t businesses and ad Agencies focusing their marketing dollars on more advertising geared DIRECTLY to the boomers? Agencies (and companies) just don’t get it, where traditional Agencies don’t want to be viewed as catering to the senior market, being too old fashion; Agencies want to be looked at as cool, hip, progressive with young fresh ideas. That’s why we have created the Boomer Media Agency (BMA). We have partnered with top shelf media companies to help drive increased business by targeting the 50+ marketplace.”

BMA’s proprietary platform, Boomer 360° was created to give our clients a total, integrated approach to advertising and social media planning and buying, a concise strategic plan with implementation tactics that directly target and engage the 50+ market, with No Misallocated Dollars, no wasted time or fruitless efforts trying to communicate with an audience who does not have the money or desire to buy your products or services.

BMA understands the 50+ demographic better than any other ad agency or business in South Florida or even nationally. To learn more, please visit http://www.boomermediaagency.com.
