Illinois Writer’s “The Magician’s Doll” Earns Children’s Literary Classics Seal of Approval

LaFox, Illinois-based author M.L. Roble is pleased to announce that her book, “The Magician’s Doll,” was recently selected to receive the Children’s Literary Classics Seal of Approval.

LaFox, IL (USA), June 25, 2014 — LaFox, Illinois-based author M.L. Roble is pleased to announce that her book, “The Magician’s Doll,” was recently selected to receive the Children’s Literary Classics Seal of Approval.

The Children’s Literary Classics Seal of Approval is a designation reserved for books that uphold the rigorous criteria set forth by the Children’s Literary Classics review committee, which is comprised of individuals with backgrounds in publishing, editing, writing, illustration and graphic design. Children’s Literary Classics, an organization dedicated to furthering excellence in children’s literature, takes great pride in its role to help promote classic children’s literature that appeals to youth while educating and encouraging positive values in the impressionable young minds of future generations.

“The Children’s Literary Classics Seal of Approval celebrates the qualities I love in great children’s stories, and I am thrilled “The Magician’s Doll” has received this honor from an organization I admire so much,” Roble said.

“The Magician’s Doll” is a suspenseful mystery with a unique storyline and well-developed characters that completely captivate readers. Unique plot twists, interspersed with a bit of humor, help make the book an exciting and engaging read. Subtle references to life messages that teach positive values to young readers are an added bonus.

The story centers on 12-year-old Natalie, who becomes embroiled in a battle between good and evil. Having a psychic for a mother is not really something she wishes to advertise. As uncomfortable as Natalie is with her mother’s unconventional behavior, it’s only natural that she would find it vexing when she begins “seeing” things herself.

Natalie’s life takes an interesting turn when Phillip, the shy neighbor boy, starts hanging around. When they find themselves at a magician’s performance at the circus, Natalie meets the magician’s doll and is drawn into a powerful world of magic and mystery. As the story unfolds, readers will encounter a gripping fantasy that appeals to girls, boys—and even adults.

In addition to garnering the Children’s Literary Classics Seal of Approval, “The Magician’s Doll” has also received national recognition from the prestigious 8th Annual 2014 National Indie Excellence® Awards. The book was chosen as a finalist for the Pre-teen Fiction category, based on overall excellence of presentation in addition to the writing. M.L. Roble is also the proud author of “Encounter Way: A Novella of Supernatural Suspense.” Both of her books are available at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.

Dakota Dental Clues Patients in to Hidden Diet Dangers As Well As Tooth-Friendly Foods

Dakota Dental, a premier Apple Valley dental care clinic, offers suggestions for making good food and beverage choices to preserve perfect smiles and good oral health.

Apple Valley, MN, June 23, 2014 – Even most young children know that soda and candy are not good for teeth. However, these are not the only edible enemies of teeth and gums. Apple Valley dental care clinic, Dakota Dental, is pleased to provide information about foods that can hurt smiles as well as foods that can help.

Science has shown that digestion begins in the mouth, so it is important to consider what one is eating and the impact it will have on oral health. Sugary drinks, candy, and snacks are well-known antagonists of perfect smiles, but there are other foods and beverages that may harm teeth, too.

Coffee, tea, wine, and sports drinks contain acids that break down enamel and contribute to decay of teeth. Additionally, they can cause teeth staining. Simple carbohydrate foods such as breads, chips, and crackers also create the perfect environment for increased bacteria activity, plaque buildup, gum infection, and cavities.

There are beneficial foods and beverages for oral health, however. Dakota Dental’s Apple Valley dentists recommend meals and snacks high in protein, calcium, and fiber. Fibrous foods, such as celery and apples, help to scrub teeth and keep them clean. Calcium and protein assist with the remineralization of teeth, and drinking fluoridated water helps to strengthen teeth.

Dakota Dental invites new patients throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and southern suburbs to experience its distinctive dentistry today. Visit www.DakotaDental.com or call 952-431-5774 to ask a question or to request an appointment. Dakota Dental is located at 14682 Pennock Avenue in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

SmartTOP Add-On Convertible Top Controller for the new BMW 4 Series available soon

The SmartTOP aftermarket add-on Convertible Top Controller module offered by Mods4cars will be available shortly for the new BMW 4 Series Convertible. It allows use of the top while driving and with one-touch convenience. Additionally the top can be opened or closed automatically from the original factory remote fob with no need to hold down any button. The kit comes with a custom designed plug-and-play wiring adapter and can be installed by anyone in minutes and without any tools.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), June 20th, 2014 — Aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars announces the upcoming availability of a SmartTOP add-on Convertible Top Controller for the BMW 4 Series. Very soon the kit will be ready to ship worldwide. The SmartTOP module allows opening and closing of the top while driving at slow speeds of up to 40 km/h (~28mph). Thanks to the one-touch operation it is no longer necessary to pull over and hold down the top switch.

In addition to the simplified operation from within the car, the top can also be operated from the original key fob remote. A quick key press sequence is all that is needed. The BMW factory comfort access option is not necessary. No changes need to be made to the keys or the receiver system. It is even possible to control the windows separately from the top.

“We are happy to announce availability of our SmartTOP kit for the BMW 4 Series Convertible within weeks of the introduction of the car itself. Our customers are able to benefit from the features of our clever add-on kit right in time for the car’s first convertible season.” says PR-Manager Sven Tornow. “Also the installation of this new module could not be easier. A custom designed plug-in adapter using genuine OEM parts guarantees a perfect fit and is simply connected in between two plugs.” Sven Tornow continues.

The SmartTOP for BMW 4 Series module will be packaged in the new Mods4cars product enclosure right from the start. A standard USB port allows owners to use PC or Apple computers for quick and easy product configuration and firmware updates. Support software for Windows and Mac OS as well as firmware updates are always available free of charge online. The USB support app is used to program user configurable settings such as speed and one-touch operation for the all-windows switch in the driver’s door.

An extended mode can be selected that allows top operation to continue while the ignition is turned on or off. When handing the keys to a valet or lending the car to others, the module can be quickly disabled and later enabled again from within the car while retaining all user specific settings.

SmartTOP Convertible Top kits are available for: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Lamborghini, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and Volkswagen. Additional BMW models supported: BMW 1, 3, 6 Series Convertibles, Z4 Roadster and Mini Cooper.

About Mods4cars:
Mods4cars was founded in 2002 with the idea to add a highly demanded feature to the otherwise almost perfect Porsche Boxster: Comfort One-Touch roof operation while driving at slow speeds. The resulting product offered not only that, but also allowed quick and easy installation by just swapping out a relay box, thus leaving no traces and no permanent changes on the vehicle. The first SmartTOP roof controller was born.

The success of their first products in Germany and Europe prompted them in late 2004 to move operations to the USA, to be able to serve the American market as well as all other English speaking countries such as Australia, UK and South Africa from one central location. Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in Las Vegas and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

Being highly specialized in the development and distribution of aftermarket roof- and comfort controllers since 2002 allows them to offer an unsurpassed level of competence and product quality. Their main goal is optimization of each individual product to a maximum in compatibility, usability and intuitive operation. They put greatest effort into development and quality checks of all their products to achieve this goal and meet all expectations of their customers.

The extraordinary success of their products is also based on the great communication with their customers, which usually already starts for each new product during the development and prototyping phase.

Actyl Group Assists Employers After Ban Lifted on TFW Program for Fast Food Restaurants

Company’s team is well trained in the new changes made by Citizenship & Immigration Canada.

REGINA, Saskatchewan (June 22, 2014) — In the wake of a recent overhaul of Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), international workforce solutions firm Actyl Group has trained its staff on all of the new rules and regulations associated with the program.

The broad changes, announced June 20, are intended to prevent abuse and make it more difficult for employers to hire workers from outside the country. As part of these efforts, businesses and organizations in high-unemployment regions will not be allowed to bring in temporary foreign workers, and there will be caps placed on the number of TFWs employers across the country can hire. The ban on TFWs for fast food businesses, however, has been lifted.

“Although these recent changes to the TFWP in Canada will make it more difficult for employers to leverage it, there are still many opportunities to find, recruit and hire skilled workers,” said Linda West, president and CEO of Actyl. “Our firm has been able to project these changes and is ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest updates imposed by the federal government. As a result, our team is very well positioned to help businesses with both domestic and international worker recruitment.”

While the TFWP will still exist, there will also be a new category created called the International Mobility Program. Changes to the overall program include an increase in the number of inspections to 25 percent of all organizations using the TFWP each year. There will also be an increase in the application fee to $1,000 per worker requested, up from $250 previously.

In addition, businesses found to be abusing the program will have to pay a fine of up to $100,000, and the Canada Border Services Agency will receive more funding to pursue criminal investigations against potential abusers. Employers with TFWs on staff will also be listed in public records.

“Because of this recent overhaul, businesses with temporary foreign workers must make sure that they are in full compliance with the law,” said West. “Actyl has been the first recruitment firm to train its staff on these changes, and we know how to effectively and legally help you find and manage the skilled workers who will allow your business grow and thrive.”

Actyl Group is a widely respected firm that helps its clients create workforce solutions customized to their specific needs. The company has decades of industry expertise and experience, providing Canadian businesses and organizations with the best immigration solutions and job candidates.
