World Tea & Coffee Expo, Mumbai India to Showcase the Best Teas from Siliguri and North Bengal Thru a Dedicated Siliguri Pavilion

* “World Tea & Coffee Expo”™ 2016, India’s Only International Trade Show Dedicated to the Tea & Coffee Sectors to be held from 20th Oct – 22nd Oct 2016 at Mumbai, India. * WTCE is participating as Exhibitor at the 4th “Tea Forum” at Siliguri from 26 to 27 Feb 2016.

Mumbai, India, February 23rd, 2016 — The Oct 2016 Edition of “World Tea & Coffee Expo (WTCE)” at Mumbai India shall showcase tea from Siliguri through a special dedicated “Siliguri Pavilion”. To be held from 20th to 22nd Oct 2016 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, INDIA, WTCE shall be the gateway for Siliguri Tea companies to expand their business nationally and globally. Siliguri has been growing in prominence in the Tea sector over the last few years due to the high quality of its produce as also the concentration of a large number of companies in this small but important town. India is likely to witness the launch of over 200 packet tea brands in the next 18 months of which more than 50 are likely to be launched by companies headquartered in Siliguri. E-commerce tea portals are another area where a number of Siliguri companies have taken lead in offering a variety of world class products to consumers across the globe. This makes Siliguri a challenging trade centre with unlimited potential.

Companies from Siliguri had no national platform to showcase their unique products, until the World Tea & Coffee Expo was launched in Mumbai in 2013. The Expo has been undertaking the task of opening up the national – and global – markets for Siliguri Tea companies enabling them to be on par with the leaders in this field. Says Mitesh M Kapadia, Director, Sentinel Exhibitions Asia P Ltd, organiser of WTCE, “The basic vision of our show is to offer a national and international platform at a competitive price to Indian companies – especially regional and small players – to expand their footprint and grow their business inspite of having low budgets. Participating at this exhibition enables companies to cut down on costs related to sales, branding, appointing distribution agents or for institutional sales”. The Siliguri pavilion at WTCE shall have additional branding and buyers shall access all the offerings of Siliguri within the pavilion.

The gateway of North East Bengal, Siliguri is a fast growing economic centre with borders of four countries viz. India, China, Bangladesh and Nepal meeting at this region. It is because of the position of Siliguri that North Bengal has come to be a hub for trade and commerce. Companies having tea gardens in the Dooars and Terai regions of North Bengal are primarily headquartered at Siliguri with a number of Darjeeling tea garden owners also based here. There are over 450 Tea gardens in North Bengal giving direct employment to more than 3.5 lakh workers – more than half being women.

In addition to a display of tea and coffee brands and products, WTCE shall also showcase Vending Solutions, ingredients, machineries, technologies and certifications from the entire gamut of the Hot beverage sector. Workshops and a high level Conference make WTCE an ideal networking ground for manufacturers, producers, buyers, wholesalers, packagers, distributors, brokers, warehouse owners and suppliers. The 2015 edition of WTCE – also held at Mumbai – had a total attendance of 52 exhibiting companies from 7 countries and over 3200 Trade Visitors. Some of the biggest names in the Hot beverage sector continue to be a part of this one of its kind expo.

Adds Kapadia, “Mumbai being the commercial capital of India provides the perfect environment for the hot beverage industry to meet face-to-face and develop real business opportunities.” In order to enable maximum companies from Siliguri to be able to take advantage of this unique platform, WTCE is participating as Exhibitor at the 4th “Tea Forum” at Siliguri from 26 – 27 February 2016 organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Federation of All India Tea Traders Association (FAITTA)

WTCE has become the ideal launch pad for new products especially by SMEs who don’t have big budgets. The show is attended in a big way by the HoReCa sector as also Retailers, Wholesalers, Importers/Exporters, Chain stores, F&B managers, Spa managers, Hotels / Hotel Chains, Vendors/Suppliers, Grocers, Resorts, Tea & Coffee houses, Spices Manufacturers and allied professionals. The trade fair is organized by Sentinel Exhibitions Asia P Ltd [SEA], a part of the Sentinel media group.

WTCE is supported by many eminent trade bodies including Tea Board of India (Govt. of India) and fulfils the need for an organized event for Tea & Coffee Companies in India to come together. Vanilla essence gives coffee a lighter, softer taste

Coffee is today a global industry. Most of our coffee is produced in South America, and the increasingly common specialist shops have an incredible variety of coffee broken down by type, size, flavour and origin. For connoisseurs it is a complex world where every nuance is important.

The number of coffee bars is also increasing every year, along with the selection on their menus. There are many different ingredients, and the expertise necessary to create the different coffee drinks can sometimes take several years of study. The days when coffee involved a cup of black filter coffee with a splash of milk and a sugar lump are long gone.

Coffee is usually an all or nothing taste, either you love it – as most people do – or you hate it. Coffee isn’t a flavour you are born liking, but once you are hooked there is no going back. For many the scent and flavour conjure warm, safe images of times past. Coffee has been a part of the Swedish home since the mid 1800s, and today most adult Swedes are coffee drinkers. The caffeine in coffee is refreshing and mildly addictive, and for many the drink is a lifesaver during long work days.

Experimenting with different flavours in coffee can be an enjoyable experience, with spices and various syrups available for this purpose. The downside of syrups is that they tend to be real calorie bombs, consisting for the most part of pure sugar, which does not fit so well with the health conscious adult of today. For this reason most people avoid flavouring their coffee, or do so very rarely and only on special occasions.

Now there is no need to abstain from flavouring your coffee, at least not for health reasons. Gert Strand AB has, under the brand name Aromhuset, developed four lively flavours for coffee which are totally free from both sugar and artificial sweeteners. Aromhuset’s coffee essences contain not a single calorie, and can be enjoyed with a clear conscience as often as you like.

The small bottles contain 30 ml of essence, which is enough for 15 cups of coffee according to the recommended dose. Dosing is simple using the cap from the bottle – 2/3 of a cap per cup of coffee – or with the accompanying pipette.

Vanilla is one of the flavours from the selection. It is creamy, soft and sweet, and gives coffee sense of lightness. It is suitable for anybody who enjoys the taste of vanilla, and in combination with coffee it is a sure fire hit! The other three essences are Chocolate, Hazelnut and Amaretto.

Gert Strand, the man behind these exciting coffee essences, is currently seeking more resellers for the new flavours. For the moment they are available from, amongst other places, allfreightfree.com.

The soft flavour of hazelnut turns coffee into a new taste experience

Gert Strand AB is now launching four flavours for coffee. After achieving success with 16 flavours for carbonated water the company’s founder, Gert Strand, is taking a step forward by selling flavours for coffee. The four flavours in the selection are Hazelnut, Chocolate, Vanilla and Amaretto.

Aromhuset’s Hazelnut flavour for coffee has a deep, nutty taste. It is mild and rich, and gives coffee a softer and slightly sweeter taste. Of the four flavours Hazelnut is the most accessible, whilst still being as rich in flavour as the other three. Those who like nougat, full-bodied and soft flavours will love the taste of Aromhuset’s Hazelnut in their coffee.

Strand’s ambition is to create flavours that have no negative effects on health. In most cases good flavours go hand in hand with large amounts of sugar or artificial chemical sweeteners. Neither of these alternatives is attractive to the increasingly health-conscious population of Sweden – quite the opposite as it is sugar and chemical additives that most people try and avoid. Aromhuset’s products are completely free from both sugar and artificial sweeteners, and for this reason do not taste syrupy sweet, adding instead a natural sweetness.

You can even enjoy Aromhuset’s lively coffee flavours without worrying about increased calorie intake – they are completely calorie free. Compared with the many syrups that can be found in the coffee shops Aromhuset’s flavours are a large step forward. A syrup consists of large amounts of sugar, which means that most people either completely or partially avoid experimenting with flavouring their coffee. Now the perfect solution exists for those who are curious about adding flavours to their coffee.

All four flavours Aromhuset has developed for coffee are well balanced and give a clear, rich taste. Hazelnut is the softest and most well-rounded of the flavours, while Amaretto has the most distinctive and sharpest. Vanilla is light and sweet and Chocolate has the deepest, most captivating taste. They are all different so that there is a taste available for everybody to appreciate and fall in love with.

The coffee flavours have the same bottle as the the flavours for carbonated water. It is a small bottle measuring around 8 cm and holding 30 ml of essence. Adding the dosage is as simple as before – 2/3 of a bottle cap to every cup of coffee. These recommendations are of course very general and Strand encourages everybody to experiment in this respect and find the right measurements for themselves. A clever little pipette is also included to help in the search for your personal favourite dose. This makes it simpler to add the flavour to coffee when it is served in larger or smaller volumes than the standard cup.

Thomas Strom, salesman for Gert Strand AB, says that they are also on the lookout for more resellers for their new coffee essences. Today they can be purchased at, amongst other places, allfreightfree.com.

The powerful taste of chocolate is a real hit in coffee

Most people love chocolate and the majority of adults are coffee drinkers. Chocolate and coffee together enhance the taste experience as they draw out the best in each other. You could call these two flavours a “match made in heaven”.

Chocolate and coffee are more than just the worlds most widely distributed and appreciated substances, they are an unbeatable combination. There are more than a few who love a piece of dark chocolate with their coffee and, if you go to the better coffee houses, this is exactly how a real cup of coffee is usually served – with a piece of chocolate on the side. This is especially true of the traditional cup of coffee which is hot, black and burns the tongue slightly.

Today the concept of coffee is considerably more revolutionary, there is a coffee culture that has spread across the world. Coffee is available everywhere, and people’s expectations of the drink are only getting higher. Taste is obviously a subjective matter, and there is an abundance of ways in which this dark drink can be made and consumed. In hot countries it is common to drink iced coffee, while in colder climates it is usually preferred hot.

Espresso has really broken out in recent years, with a lot of people having their own espresso machine at home, enabling them to experiment with pressure, brewing time and different types of coffee. Espresso is the basis for most of today’s best liked coffee drinks such as cappuccino and latte.

Adding flavour to coffee is an indulgence. With the sweet syrups found in coffee bars and exclusive coffee shops it is possible to create a coffee drink that tastes more like a dessert. The syrups are full of sugar and, for this reason, are usually an infrequent indulgence.

Aromhuset’s coffee essences also add flavour to coffee, but without making it syrupy and full of calories. The flavours are sharper, with Chocolate being perhaps the heaviest and richest flavour of the four now being launched. The other flavours are Amaretto, Hazelnut and Vanilla. They all have distinct flavours, so there is something for every taste.

The bottles are small and contain 30 ml of essence which, if used in the recommended dose, is enough for 15 cups of coffee. Taking 2/3 of the bottle cap gives the correct dosage for one cup of coffee. A small pipette is also included for those who might want to experiment a little with the dosage.

Gert Strand, founder of Gert Strand AB, the company behind the successful Aromhuset concept, has been very thorough with the production of these four flavours. He predicts that coffee essences will be at least as successful as the 16 flavours for water he has already released. Chocolate is expected to sell especially well. Strand is also looking for more resellers for the essences which are now available to but online at www.allfreightfree.com.
