New York City is World’s Wearable Tech Capital on January 30 before San Francisco, Munich and Seoul

Building off of the momentum of past successful conferences, Golden Networking takes Wearable Computing Conference 2014 (www.wearable-computing-conference.com) global: New York City, San Francisco, London, Seoul and Munich, “How Wearable Technologies are Revolutionizing Mobile Wireless Internet, Healthcare and Fashion”.

New York City, NY, USA (January 17, 2014) — There are thousands of reasons why New York is the capital of the world. One more is coming this January 30. New York City will become the wearable technologies capital as it gets ready to host Golden Networking’s Wearable Computing Conference 2014 (http://www.wearable-computing-conference.com), “How Wearable Technologies are Revolutionizing Mobile Wireless Internet, Healthcare and Fashion”, forums to be held throughout 2014 first there on January 30 and later in San Francisco (March 18), London (May 29), Seoul (September 25) and Munich (November 20).

The future is here at Wearable Computing Conference 2014 with the production of a new generation of technologies such as Google Glass, Apple “iWatch” and Samsung Galaxy Gear, among others, that will allow users to interact with computing devices that are worn by the bearer under, with or on top of clothing. The introduction of smart watches and glasses bring upon economic, social and personal effects that will revolutionize the human experience.

The use of technology has greatly expanded out of the workplace into users’ daily lives. Now the integration of human experience and wearable computing will allow users to enhance each experience. This new wave of technologies will ignite an explosion of innovation which will be the key to advancement for mankind.

Credit Suisse semiconductor analysts John Pitzer, Kulbinder Garcha, Christian Buss, and Stephen Ju offered six months ago an overview note on what they think is “the next big thing,” the rise of sophisticated wearable technology, such as smart watches, and other accessories. The authors contended that while “wearables,” as they call them, are “not new,” nevertheless, they are “at an inflection point in market adoption” because there is a growing installed base of smartphones, cost and performance improvements are coming in components, there is more mature software to run them, and there are new business models for them. The wearables market is a lot bigger than investors realize, they contended, at perhaps $3 billion to $5 billion today, rising to perhaps $30 billion to $50 billion over the next three to five years.

Golden Networking’s Wearable Computing Conference 2014 will examine wearable technologies’ functions, application, the competition and possibilities for economic and personal growth.Wearable Computing Conference 2014 is produced by Golden Networking (http://www.goldennetworking.net), the premier networking community for business and technology executives, entrepreneurs and investors.Panelists, speakers and sponsors are invited to contact Golden Networking by sending an email to information@goldennetworking.com.

Design, Battery Life, and Utility Hobble Samsung Galaxy Gear, says Cosmin Laslau, @WearableCompCon

Building off of the momentum of past successful conferences, Golden Networking brings Wearable Computing Conference 2013 New York City (www.wearable-computing-conference.com), “Revolutionizing the Human Experience Through Next-Generation Technology”, November 7.

New York City, NY, USA (November 1, 2013) — “Bulky form factor, poor battery life, and questionable utility hobble today’s smart watches,” said Cosmin Laslau, a mobile analyst from Lux Research, and speaker at Golden Networking’s Wearable Computing Conference 2013 (http://www.wearable-computing-conference.com), “Revolutionizing the Human Experience Through Next-Generation Technology”, to be held in New York City, on November 7.

“Samsung has worked quickly to plant its stake in the ground with the Galaxy Gear, beating rivals like Apple and Google to market, but this first generation product hasn’t cracked the smartwatch code,” said Mr. Laslau, an expert who evaluates the development and application of innovative energy storage technologies, through extensive primary and secondary research. Some representative topics include lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, hybrid and electric vehicles, fuel cells and energy harvesting. Additionally, Mr. Laslau helps address client questions regarding mobility and portable energy, on topics ranging from key players, emerging technologies and market strategies. He has spoken at various technology and scientific conferences, on topics such as advanced materials, chemistry, and device applications.

Prior to joining Lux Research, Mr. Laslau worked as a sales engineer for a nanomaterials startup – Nanostructured & Amorphous Materials – where he consulted with industrial and academic clients, advising on material selection including carbon nanotubes and metal nanopowders.

Mr. Laslau obtained his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from the University of Auckland, specializing in conducting polymers and scanned probe microscopy, and has authored 20 scientific publications and reviews. He also holds a M.Sc. in polymer chemistry from the University of Auckland, and a B.A.Sc. in nanoengineering from the University of Toronto. During the course of these stints, Mr. Laslau also completed internships in Sweden and Germany, and received awards for academic excellence.

Wearable Tech Devices To Watch at Golden Networking’s Wearable Computing Conference 2013 New York

Golden Networking brings Wearable Computing Conference 2013 New York City (www.wearable-computing-conference.com), “Revolutionizing the Human Experience Through Next-Generation Technology”, November 7.

New York City, NY, USA (October 28, 2013) — InformationWeek’s Kristin Burnham has seen the future. Accessories that buzz when the email you’ve been waiting for lands in your inbox. Devices that help you sleep more soundly. Gadgets that photograph and document your day, start to finish. Meet the latest innovations in the rapidly growing — and lucrative — industry of wearable tech, at Golden Networking’s Wearable Computing Conference 2013 (http://www.wearable-computing-conference.com), “Revolutionizing the Human Experience Through Next-Generation Technology”, to be held in New York City, on November 7.

Research company Visiongain predicts that the global wearable tech market will reach $4.6 billion this year. “With virtually limitless applications to a number of verticals, the wearable technology market represents a huge value proposition to all ecosystem members, from manufacturers to app developers and service report providers,” the company’s recent research report stated.

Among the verticals pouncing on the trend, the healthcare industry has rolled out a number of promising remote patient monitoring technologies, such as a bracelet that monitors a patient’s vitals, a device that determines the severity of a person’s sleep apnea and a wireless sensor that monitors fetal and maternal heart rates.

The fitness industry has also embraced the wearable tech trend, introducing the popular Fitbit and Nike’s FuelBand, both of which analyze your daily activity and track your weight. Jawbone, a wristband gadget, tracks how you sleep, exercise and eat.

But Google Glass and the emerging crop of smartwatches have generated the most buzz for wearable tech. The general public still can’t buy Google Glass, augmented reality glasses that the company began testing in April 2012. But developers have rolled out a number of apps, including Path and Evernote integration.

The Smartwatch buzz began in February when rumors swirled that Apple had an iWatch in the works. Though Apple has yet to deliver, the company is reportedly “aggressively” hiring engineers. Critics have questioned whether a viable market for smartwatches exists, but that hasn’t stopped manufacturers like Samsung from jumping in with early products to be discussed at Wearable Computing Conference 2013:

– Key Features of Wearable Technologies
– A New World for Application Developers
– How Wearable Technologies Will Transform the Human Experience
– Wearable Computing and its Impact on the Technology Marketplace
– The Future of Wearable Computing Today
