[Maitland, FL] – April 16, 2011 – Learning the NEW RSI is what the second edition of the book, RSI Fundamentals: Beginning to Advanced, from You Learn Forex, is all about. Forex traders have been trading with RSI, the Relative Strength Index for almost 40 years. To some, RSI measures whether a trading signal is overbought or oversold. This occurs when prices reach RSI levels of 70 and 30 respectively on the RSI scale. All that is changing however. Many traders are learning NEW uses for RSI with “little known trading signals” called RSI Reversals.
Paul Dean, the president and owner of You Learn Forex, a Florida company, has been working over 6 years to improve a trader’s odds of succeeding in the Forex market. He is the author of RSI Fundamentals: Beginning to Advanced, and has recently completed the second edition which more than doubled the size of the first book. “RSI changed the way I traded after many years of inconsistency,” said Dean. “The key wasn’t in the original principles set down by Welles Wilder having to do with overbought and oversold conditions or trading divergences. The key was in a signal discovered by one of Wilder’s students, Andrew Cardwell. Those signals change everything for traders.”
Dean finished the first version of RSI Fundamentals: Beginning to Advanced nearly 3 years ago. “I wrote it because I couldn’t really find much information on it and because I thought it could help other traders,” he says. The first edition was around 10,000 words and primarily dealt with the “myths” that surrounded RSI.
“I had traded in my earlier days with RSI but realized even then that overbought and oversold conditions are more a result of people making decisions in banks, hedge funds, institutions and governments, not in a formula. But then later I came back to using RSI because of a signal it creates, one almost no one talks about.” Dean talks about RSI Reversal signals in his book however.
The second edition of RSI Fundamentals: Beginning to Advanced is 25,000 words, has 196 pages of information, 110 color charts and 21 illustrations. It covers who designed RSI, the myths, setting up the RSI to find Reversals, and many chapters on NEW RSI techniques that many traders around the world are learning to use to trade RSI successfully.
“After the first book was published I learned so much on my own plus from other traders that it was pretty imperative that I update the material. Plus we added a section on The RSI Paint Indicator which hadn’t been invented yet.”
The RSI Paint Indicator is a specially designed RSI that Dean developed with trader and computer programmer David Moser, an American who lives in Singapore. David approached Paul after reading the first edition of the book, and they collaborated on the design of the trading indicator.
“This indicator was a God send,” says Dean. “It allows traders to go about their business during the day and to alert them to when a momentum reversal signal occurs, and it works on any currency pair and any time frame and it creates a pop-up with a sound alert that can be sent to an email or a cell phone.”
You Learn Forex, has produced a Complete Trading System called The RSI PRO Forex Trading System which includes RSI Fundamentals: Beginning to Advanced, RSI Paint Indicator, and several other books that all focus on successful trading.
The website produces new content daily on the trading system to support new traders and does an excellent job of follow-up to individual trader questions. Currently you are able to download a FREE eBook on the site called, The Exact Steps on How to Learn Forex. Dean has published 4 other books on Forex and is currently working on a 5th book about momentum in the Forex market.
