Men NOT Allowed to Say “NO” on Sadie Hawkins Day

Sadie Hawkins Day allows single women to ask for what they want… and get it!

San Rafael, CA, October 18, 2013 — Contact: Tom Andrews, 415/507-9962

Once a year single women can ask for whatever they want…and get it. At this year’s annual Sadie Hawkins Day Dance in the San Francisco Bay Area, Friday, November 15, 2013, 8pm-Midnight, men are not allowed to say no if a woman asks them to dance. The party is at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 101 McInnis Pkwy, San Rafael CA. Contrary to popular belief, Sadie Hawkins Day does NOT occur on Leap Day. It happens every November 15.

“Single women have lots of complaints about single men,” says Rich Gosse, Chairman of The Society of Single Professionals, the world’s largest non-profit singles organization. “One of the biggest is men who turn them down when asked to dance. How rude! At our Sadie Hawkins Day Dance, men will NOT have that option. Sadie Hawkins Day is a wonderful opportunity for single women to be assertive and get what they want in life, rather than follow the disastrous strategy of playing hard to get.”

Rich Gosse, author of eight books on dating, is available to the news media to discuss Sadie Hawkins Day in the context of bachelorettes fulfilling their romantic needs, by calling 415/479-3800.

Sadie Hawkins Day, an American folk event, made its debut in Al Capp’s Li’l Abner strip on November 15, 1937. Sadie Hawkins was “the homeliest gal in the hills” who grew tired of waiting for the fellows to come a courtin’. Her father, Hekzebiah Hawkins, a prominent resident of Dogpatch, was even more worried about Sadie living at home for the rest of his life, so he decreed the first annual Sadie Hawkins Day, a foot race in which the unmarried gals pursued the town’s bachelors, with matrimony the consequence. By the late 1930s the event had swept the nation and had a life of its own. Life magazine reported over 200 colleges holding Sadie Hawkins Day events in 1939, only two years after its inception. It became a woman-empowering rite at high schools and college campuses, long before the modern feminist movement gained prominence.

Adults of all ages are welcome. $10 at the door includes dancing to current hits and oldies. Dressy nightclub attire is recommended. Anyone who wishes more information about this and many more singles parties may visit http://www.ThePartyHotline.com or call 415/507-9962.

Gold Digger Party for Beautiful Women & Wealthy Bachelors

San Francisco’s first-ever Gold Digger Party takes place on May 11, 2013.

San Francisco, CA, USA (April 8, 2013) — Contact: Tom Andrews, 415/507-9962

Beautiful single women and wealthy bachelors are invited to meet at San Francisco’s first-ever Gold Digger Party, Saturday, May 11, 2013, 8pm, at Carbon Nightclub, 383 Bay Street, San Francisco CA 94133.

“For thousands of years most women have considered financial security to be the most important quality they seek in a potential mate,” says Rich Gosse, Executive Producer of GoldDiggerEvents.com. “This is true in virtually all countries and all cultures around the world. The Gold Digger Party is an opportunity for beautiful single women and wealthy bachelors to connect for fun, romance, and possible marriage.

“Gold Diggers are unfairly stigmatized in our society as women who seek to exploit prosperous men. This is true of Predatory Gold Diggers, who pretend to love wealthy men and value their personal qualities, whereas they are only interested in their money. But there is a second, much larger group, Loving Gold Diggers, who value financial security as a top priority in selecting a mate, but also are sincerely attracted to men for their personal qualities.
Wealthy Bachelors must be careful to avoid the wrong group.”

Rich Gosse is America’s foremost authority on finding a romantic partner. He is the author of eight books on this topic, including You CAN Hurry Love, Singles Guide to America, and A Good Man Is EASY to Find (“This is a great book!” Oprah Winfrey). Generation X Singles Party, for those born after the Baby Boomer Generation

Gen-Xers include Barack & Michelle Obama, Paul Ryan, Beyonce, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, and 46 million others.

GENERATION X SINGLES PARTY: FIRST-EVER ON THE SAN FRANCISCO PENINSULA

GenXers, born between 1961 and 1981, are invited to meet new single friends at the Silicon Valley’s first-ever Generation X Singles Party, Saturday, March 2, 2013, 9pm-1am, at Piacere Ristorante, 727 Laurel Street, San Carlos CA 94070.

GenXers are the generation following the Baby Boomers. The term Generation X came from a novel written in 1991 by Douglas Coupland, about 3 strangers who decide to distance themselves from society to get a better sense of who they are. Coupland describes his characters as “underemployed, overeducated, intensely private, and unpredictable.” His characters wanted to pull away from class, status, and money in society.

The news media found elements of Coupland’s characters in America’s youth at the time and labeled them Generation X. They are stereotyped as being cynical, hopeless, frustrated and unmotivated slackers who wear grunge clothing, listen to alternative music, and still live at home with their parents because they can’t get real jobs. Needless to say, these stereotypes, while true for a small portion of GenXers, are unfair to the vast majority, who are hopeful, motivated, hard-working people.

GenXers make up about 20% of the U.S. population. The 46 million members of Generation X represent $125 billion in spending power.

Famous Gen-Xers include Barack & Michelle Obama, Paul Ryan, Julia Roberts, Robert Downey Jr, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brooke Shields, Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Aniston, Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Moss, Reese Witherspoon, Ashton Kutcher, Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Beyonce, and Britney Spears.

The party includes:

•DJ HickeyB! playing today’s hottest dance hits plus your favorites from the past
•Karaoke mixed in with prizes for groups/individuals getting loudest applause!
•Fun Casino Blackjack with Joey’s Fun Casino (no cash value)
•Appetizers, served at 9pm, as long as they last.

This event is co-sponsored by Society of Single Professionals, the world’s largest non-profit singles organization; and by Singles Supper Club, the Silicon Valley’s premiere organization for romantic eligibles. The cost is $20/door. Anyone wishing more information about this and many more parties for singles may visit http://www.ThePartyHotline.com or call 415-507-9962.

Most singles believe they haven’t found the love they want because All the good ones are taken or There’s something wrong with me. Neither is likely to be true. All I Want for Christmas…Is a Loving Partner Keynotes Holiday Singles Convention

“No one wants to be single over the holidays,” says Rich Gosse, Keynote Speaker at the Holiday Singles Convention, Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Silo’s at the historic Napa Inn, 530 Main Street, Napa CA 94559. His topic is “All I Want for Christmas…Is a Loving Partner.”

San Rafael, CA, November 09, 2012 — Contact: Tom Andrews, 415/507-9962

“No one wants to be single over the holidays,” says Rich Gosse, Keynote Speaker at the Holiday Singles Convention, Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Silo’s at the historic Napa Inn, 530 Main Street, Napa CA 94559. His topic is “All I Want for Christmas…Is a Loving Partner.”

“The holidays are the BEST time to search for a romantic partner,” says Mr. Gosse. “Singles are much friendlier and open to new friendships during this time of the year. Rather than wait for Santa to bring a loving partner, singles should follow three rules during the holidays:

1. GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. “Most singles stay home seven nights a week and complain they never meet anyone.”

2. GO WHERE THE DUCKS ARE. “Most singles go where the ducks AREN’T. They make the mistake of going where there are lots of people of their own sex to compete against, and very few of the opposite sex from whom to choose.”

3. INITIATE CONTACT. “Some poor fool has to make the first move and risk rejection.”

No Rejection for Singles at San Francisco Event

For the first time men can avoid their greatest fear at a singles event: rejection. The No Rejection Dance, Friday, November 16, 2012, 8pm-Midnight, is at Neptune’s at Pier 39, San Francisco.

San Rafael, CA, October 25, 2012 — Contact: Tom Andrews, 415/507-9962

For the first time men can avoid their greatest fear at a singles event: rejection. The No Rejection Dance, Friday, November 16, 2012, 8pm-Midnight, is at Neptune’s at Pier 39, San Francisco. Women will compete to see who dances with the most men that evening, with prizes.

“Singles events are often little different than high school dances in the gym, with the boys on one side and the girls on the other,” says Rich Gosse, who has produced over 1,000 singles dances worldwide over the past 35 years. “Everyone is still scared to death decades later. The men complain about rejection. The women are upset that they sit at their tables all night, impatiently waiting for ‘gutless wonders’ to ask them to dance. Both sides are equally unhappy. Tonight’s party is an attempt to solve this perennial problem.”
