Countryside Art Competition Announced by Art Gallery

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce their 2rd Annual “Countryside” Online Art Competition for the month of October 2012.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – September 20, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce their 2rd Annual “Countryside” Online Art Competition for the month of October 2012. 2D artists from around the world are called upon to make online submissions for inclusion into the Gallery’s November 2012 online group exhibition. The art gallery encourages entries from artists, regardless of where they reside to apply to this online art competition by submitting their best interpretation of this theme by depicting rural living, rustic charm, the outdoors and pastoral scenes in their submissions to this competition.

Light Space & Time urges all 2D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field to submit to this art contest. A group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of November 2012. Awards will be for 1st through 5th places. Also, 5 Honorable Mention places will be awarded. In addition, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries, Special Recognition awards will also be given as well. The submission process and the deadline will end on October 27, 2012.

Winners of the “Countryside” Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity in the form of email marketing, 70+ press release announcements, 70+ event announcements, and social media marketing and promotion in order to make the art world aware of the artist’s accomplishments. There will also be links back to the artist’s website as part of this achievement.

The Botanicals Art Exhibition Results Announced

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its September 2012 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – September 1, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its September 2012 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme for this art exhibition is “Botanicals” and artists were asked to apply to this competition in August by submitting their best botanical and floral art.

An art competition was held in August 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 14 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 29 different states. Overall, there were 619 entries from 177 different artists that were judged for this art competition.

Congratulations to the artists who have been designated as this month’s category winners, along with the winning Special Recognition artists. The gallery commends all of the winning artists for their artistic skill and their creativity, as this online art exhibition is indicative of their creativity.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) is very proud to announce that Durga Garcia, is now our featured artist and she will be presented in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase for the next 30 days.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – August 16, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) is very proud to announce that Durga Garcia, a Florida based fine art photographer is now our featured artist and she will be presented in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase for the next 30 days.

Durga Garcia is a published, International Award winning and merited photographer of fine art images. Durga is a freelance professional photographer of intimate portraits, Art for Artists, Events & Projects.

Durga brings a most uncommon background to her pictures, with a past that has had her live in many countries and across America, working as a racehorse trainer, steeplechase jockey, show jumper, equine veterinary paramedic, art appraiser, yoga teacher and member of the U.S. International Pistol Team.

Durga has parlayed her many years of experience as a certified art appraiser into a special talent for conveying those nuanced details while keeping her senior fine art appraisal accreditations, from both the America Society of Appraisers and the International Society of Appraisers current.

She manages the first year for a Guide Dog in training, often working with one at her side. She is a wife of a U.S. Marine/football referee and mother to 4 awesome daughters.

Currently, she holds positions as the Curator of Exhibitions at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre, is the Staff photographer at the Lighthouse Art Center and works with the Jonathan Dickinson Park & Canine Assist Therapy.

An art competition was held in July 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Jadranka Carluccio-Grbic is the gallery’s recent featured artist.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – July 16, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Jadranka Carluccio-Grbic is the gallery’s recent featured artist. Jadranka brings a unique and interesting background, training and history to her creative endeavors as a Croatian artist, Medical Doctor by profession and as an assiduous world traveler.

Since childhood, Jadranka experienced a vast cultural heritage which helped enrich and develop artistic soul. After using various means of traditional artistic expression, she discovered the digital medium. Jadranka explains the medium in the following manner, “digital painting is comparable to oil on canvas or pencil on paper, because the artist does not use a computer to generate images automatically, but rather, that the painting is created on the blank page with no references whatsoever. Drawing, perspective and colors are all generated and created by the artist. The only real difference between digital and the traditional way of painting is in the tool itself. A brush, pencil, canvas or papers are now exchanged with a computer mouse, a digital pen, on a digital means. The digital medium also allows the artist to work with multiple layers, as this allows the artist to correct any error which is much easier than if it was created on a canvas.”

Jadranka’s mixed media paintings are original size, with each painting (biggest) printed on canvas with museum quality giclee technique, hand painted and signed by her, using translucent materic acrylic paint. Animal art may include any mammals, birds and animals that live in the water.

Kay Pratt Announced as the Gallery’s Featured Artist

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Californian artist Kay Pratt is this month’s featured artist.

Jupiter, Florida – June 16, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Californian artist Kay Pratt is this month’s featured artist. Kay has participated in several of the gallery’s art exhibitions and she won the Second Annual 2011 Abstract Exhibition for her painting “Play Red”.

Kay states this about her art and her life in California, “As a native Californian I spent my childhood years playing in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains above Sunland Tujunga. Slowly, the majestic spaces I once called “Fort” or “Cave” were diminished by the demands of development – lost forever.

The great Plein Air Painters of the California Coastal and Desert Lands left us the legacy of their works and with them an historical account of those lost places – truly a gift to us all! In the tradition of my late Grandfather, Walt A. Lee and his many “sketch trek buddies” such as Hanson Putthuff and Edgar A. Payne, I try to capture threatened and historical places with love and the hope that my works will remind viewers of the importance of the preservation of the scenic California landscape”.

Kay Pratt is a Visual Artist and a Certified Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner; she is the Founder and Director of the Expressive Arts Therapists Network in Orange County, CA, a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) and The Lighthouse for the blind and visually impaired in San Francisco, California.

The theme for this art exhibition is “Figurative” and artists were asked for their interpretation of this theme by depicting the human form or human features. “Figurative” was considered to be figures, forms and faces either in the representational or abstract genre.

An art competition was held in May 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 19 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 33 different states. Overall, there were 731 entries from 216 different artists that were judged for this art competition.
