Bartlett, IL, August 01, 2015 — Michael Droste, a composer and musician from Illinois, released a new everything 99¢ music store. PlayTheBlues.com is dedicated to help you learn the blues. “I also want to give everyone the blues in common keys that blues bands usually perform. The website has all the instruments, in all of the keys: Bb, C, D, E, Eb, F, G, A,” said Droste.

The Play The Blues instrument list includes: Alto Saxophone, Bass Guitar, Clarinet, Drums Set, Flute,Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Keyboard Instruments, Oboe, Recorder, Soprano Saxophone, Violin, Viola, Cello, Tenor Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba and Vibes.

Each 99¢ recording also has ‘Magic Notes’ at the website that are a place to start playing the blues.

Try repeating the notes, creating a complimentary or contrasted rhythm and start having fun. Each Blues song has a total of 12 choruses.

This was the question composer Michael Droste wanted to answer. Through his Play The Blues series at PlayTheBlues.com Droste wanted to teach everyone playing a musical instrument how to play the blues.

Streamwood, IL, November 25, 2013 – This was the question composer Michael Droste wanted to answer. Through his Play The Blues series at PlayTheBlues.com Droste wanted to teach everyone playing a musical instrument how to play the blues. He released 16 different recordings to teach everyone, on every instrument, the blues changes, and give the pros and beginners many choruses to learn how to solo in the blues.

“For this particular release,” he stated, “why not combine disco and the blues together and see how it sounds?” Pleased with the results, the recordings are now available for everyone at every online music retailer.

As fan of the Chicago blues scene, he continues to create recordings that combines the blues with jazz, hip hop, techno, and rock. “One should not be limited to one style of music with the blues,” he said. “The blues changes slot well into other genres,” Droste stated.

As the Trumpet is his main instrument, he could understand the frustration of trying to find some blues recordings for soloing in a key for his instrument. “I wanted the Oboe, Clarinet, Trombone, Piano, Alto Tenor and Soprano Sax players each to have their own dedicated recordings,” he stated. “The only solution was to release 16 different recordings, one for each instrument, and provide all levels of musicians with many different musical keys and styles,” Droste said. That goal is still being realized with hundreds of recordings released at PlayTheBlues.com

Not wanting to short change any instrument the series is made accessible to all with versions for the guitar, tuba, wood recorders, and drum set. Each recording also includes a mini blues tutorial at the end of the blues choruses. There are instructions at PlayTheBlues.com of some ‘magic notes’ that will sound good with each recording, and their specific instrument and key.

Windy Town Releases: ‘Greatest Hits from One Song Every Day Project’

I thought about raising the stakes, and mulled it over, “Could someone write One Song Every Day?” It just seems to be an absolutely zany thought, and it seems to be such a monumental task.

Bartlett, IL, November 26, 2013 — Michael Droste, released an album called “Greatest Hits from One Song Every Day Project.” “I started to learn about music through the trumpet and still play today. I went to DePaul University on a trumpet scholarship, and then got interested digital recording with computers, synthesizers and MIDI. Technology has come a long way from the old 4 track cassette recorders with out board effects, – to all digital recordings and digital processing done completely in the computer.)” said Droste. He stated, “Could one write 365 songs? – all holidays, every day? – no matter if your sick, no vacations, no time off? – a task to complete every day for one year?” “Currently, I’m in the process of taking my favorite songs and remastering them with today’s technology. I wished I had the time each day to ‘fix’ the song and make them the way I hear them now… , ” said Droste.

Michael Droste was the first person to complete the song a day task. Many have called him the, “Song A Day Guy.” Others have tried to follow and copy the project but Michael Droste was the originator, and all others were followers.

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle need to be your new lexicon,” he added. “Put your paper and plastics in the recycle bin and not the landfill,” he implored. New LED lights are a little expensive now, but over time will get cheaper and brighter. Currently, consumers can still take advantage of compact fluorescent bulbs that offer dramatic savings in power consumption.
