Top Five Luxe Travel Trends in Vietnam To Watch in 2013 from Luxury Travel Group Ltd

Keeping with its annual tradition, Luxury Travel (Vietnam’s first luxury tour and travel operator and most successful luxury travel brand) announces its forecast on the travel trends to watch in 2013 in the Vietnam tourism industry.

Hanoi, Vietnam, January 7, 2013 — Keeping with its annual tradition, Luxury Travel (Vietnam’s first luxury tour and travel operator and most successful luxury travel brand) announces its forecast on the travel trends to watch in 2013 in the Vietnam tourism industry.

Multi-Generational Family Travel:

In the current fragile economy, people tend to go back to family values and enjoy holidays together. For them, life is a collection of special moments and family reunions. Geographically, families live farther away from each other than at any time in history, and millions of post 50s travelers are trading briefcases for roller bags. With time, health and disposable income on their hands, they are taking the kids and grandkids along. Luxury Travel (http://www.luxurytravelvietnam.com) has received more bookings for multi-generational private family vacations.

Wellness and Spa:

Vietnam has followed the lead of Thailand and begun embracing spa culture with a wide selection of resorts and day spas that are the equal of any in the world. Spa vacationers now choose Vietnam for various wellness and spa options, such as the 6 star spa at the Nam Hai, heritage spa at Pilgrimage Village Resort Hue, the all inclusive spas at Fusion Maia Danang, thefamily spa at Six Senses Nha Trang, day spas in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the beach spa at Princess d’Anam or Antara Mui Ne or the destination spas at Emeralda Ninh Binh, Six Sense Con Dao or Life Resort Quy Nhon.

Active Vacations:

Travelers are seeking out ways to stay active and healthy on the road. They want to go to places where they have plenty of options to take day trips and enjoy active excursions from trekking to diving in Vietnam. The thrills offered are endless and span a wide range, including hiking, trekking, biking, kayaking, climbing, rafting, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, hot air ballooning, camping, yachting and more. Some of the locations where these activities can be enjoyed include Sapa, Halong Bay, Cu Lao Cham, the Central Highlands, the Mekong Delta, Phan Thiet, Con Dao, the Phu Quoc Islands and many more.

Bespoke Itineraries With a Sense of Place:

It is all about the experience and a storytelling. Travel should be personalized and luxury travel advisors are learning to blend experiences that are tailored to personal desires along with truly special options that reflect the destination. Luxury travel is no longer just about fine dining and five-star hotels. With so many new experiences on offer, it’s the stories travellers can tell afterwards that confer status.

Seeking Out What’s Next & New:

High-end travelers always want new and exotic experiences, plus value, both in terms of personal value and value for money. They seek new destinations, roads less travelled, new hotels and new experiences. They want to be the first to discover a destination. Many have moved towards a quieter understated luxury and plan their trips with a focus on authenticity and experiential travel, focused on enriching once-in-a-lifetime experiences. For travel experts, it is essentially about creating a package that is personal as well as authentic and memorable.

Luxury Travel Vietnam Recruits California-based team for Growth

Luxury Travel Ltd is recruiting a California-based team to sell its Vietnam and Indochina tours and holidays to other tour operators on the West Coast of America.

Hanoi, Vietnam, December 12, 2012 – Luxury Travel Ltd (www.luxurytravelvietnam.com) is recruiting a California-based team to sell its Vietnam and Indochina tours and holidays to other tour operators on the West Coast of America.

Over 50 million American people travel abroad each year. The U.S. plays a pivotal role in Asia Pacific and Vietnam, especially with diplomatic and business relationships better than ever since the end of the war. Vietnam is considered one of the emerging luxury destinations in Southeast Asia for American travellers.

Luxury Travel Ltd. announced that, next month, it will open a sales office in California, U.S.A. responsible for developing business and supporting travel agents on the West Coast and in Canada for Luxury Travel’s destinations in Southeast Asia.

With many years in the tourism industry as a destination Asia specialist, Paul Ciaccio has been engaged as Regional Sales Manager of Luxury Travel Ltd. in the U.S (www.luxurytravelvietnam.com).

According to Paul, the bulk of growth from the U.S. to Asia derives from the upper-middle to luxury-end of the market, which comprises a small portion of the US outbound market.

“The US outbound engine is revving up once again. After having suffered heavy blows in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, we see a surge in bookings to Vietnam from the U.S.A. We recorded a 30 percent rise in booking volume from the U.S. to Indochina so far this year, compared to 2011. Particularly Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar were experiencing the strongest uplifts, and the U.S.A. is one of our top ten markets.” said Pham Ha, founder and CEO of Luxury Travel Ltd.

The opening of the U.S.A. office is part of the company’s effort to elevate its business profile in the American market when the economy is getting better and Vietnam and the Indochinese Peninsula are becoming more popular with American travelers. American tourists, according to Ha, picked Vietnam for their vacations for its history, safety, affordable prices, exotic landscape, authenticity, and the hospitality of the Vietnamese people.

The U.S. is a very multicultural society and many Americans are familiar with Vietnamese food and culture, especially on the West Coast. Further, Vietnam now has world class hotels and resorts, beaches and cuisine, in addition to its natural beauty, rich history and traditional culture. The past few years have seen the completion of many luxurious resorts with names such as Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, Intercontinental Peninsula Danang Sun Spa and Six Senses Con Dao, entering the market, plus Hilton and Marriot offering more choices for travelers. The country received roughly 340,000 American tourists in the first 9 months of 2012, up % 20 compared with the same period last year.

According to Pham Ha, the U.S. has been a great market for the company, which has appealing high-end products for Americans’ tastes and preferences. The company targets the right clients with personalized products and services and has increased the number of private, small groups that it serves, primarily with tailor-made holidays and special interest tours. This has been a winning strategy since American holidaymakers like family travel and custom, private tours, more than big group trips.

“According to statistics of international tourism organizations, over 50 million American people travel abroad each year. The U.S. plays a pivotal role in Asia Pacific and Vietnam, especially with diplomatic and business relationships better than ever since the end of the war. Vietnam is considered one of the emerging luxury destinations in Southeast Asia for American travellers and receives roughly 340,000 American tourists yearly. Many are cruise passengers who want quality holidays and are big spenders. The top-end never really took a hit in the 2008-09 crises and business is now better than ever. American tourists like the sea, haute cuisine, shopping, golf, spas, and high quality services and we have it all to offer to American travelers. With our sales office in California, we are targeting double digit growth in this market for 2013.” added Ha.

Hanoi, Vietnam, November 15, 2012 – Pham Ha, CEO and founder of Luxury Travel Ltd. held high level meetings with representatives of a large number of companies and the leaders of the luxury tourism industry.

Vietnam is getting more and more popular in the UK and Ireland markets and we have many new contracts and accounts. We are seeing particular demand for Myanmar and the biggest growth is expected for this country, which is becoming more popular in the UK due to political changes and new developments. Further, this year again, Luxury Travel is an official supporter of Responsible Tourism Day at WTM” said Pham Ha.

He stressed that the UK market is very important to the company and that it is seeking to dominate this market with more staff and increasing the number of private small groups that it serves. This will be primarily through tailor-made holidays via the sales office based in London, as well as the launch of a new website (www.luxury-travels.co.uk)aimed solely at British holiday makers.

According to this luxury tour operator, UK visitor numbers into Indochina are constantly growing. Luxury Travel handled around one per cent of the 80,000 or so British visitors to Vietnam last year, a 68 percent increase over 2011.

Britain’s tourists, according to Ha, picked Vietnam for their vacations for safety, affordable prices, authenticity, warm weather, and convenient direct flights.

Britons traveling to Vietnam are looking for a more authentic experiences and seek to have a deeper understanding of the country’s culture, food, history and everyday life. While Thailand is geared more toward mass market tourism, Vietnam is a destination that is attractive to a more selective class of travelers.

Luxury Travel Ltd.’s booking record indicates that British travelers prefer cultural experiences and beach extensions, while many also combine Vietnam and Cambodia or Myanmar into one trip.

Pham Ha said the company earned 23 billion dong (US$1.1 million) in revenue last year, a 30 percent increase over 2011.

“We expect another 30 per cent growth this year, and to reach 35 billion dong or (USD 1.64 Million) in 2013 for the UK market” added Ha

He confirmed that his representative office in London and sales and marketing team will expand its stand and come back to WTM 2013.
