Marti White is Named Gallery’s New Featured Artist

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that Arizona artist, Marti White is the gallery’s new featured artist.

Jupiter, FL, USA (February 15, 2014) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that Arizona artist, Marti White is the gallery’s new featured artist. Marti will now be in the gallery’s Artist Showcase section and be promoted by the gallery for the next 30 days.

Marti White lives, creates and works in Tucson, Arizona. Marti’s artistic interests have taken various forms over more than half a century, beginning with the creative play of a child, the usual art classes in school and college, and then a series of classes with various teachers in various media – pencil, ink, oil, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media and collage. To Marti, watercolor has brought her years of satisfying work as she paints mostly from the natural world – flowers, landscapes, and small wonders of the forest and field.

Marti describes her artistic growth and path since moving to Arizona, “When we moved to the West to retire, I felt that it called for a new artistic path to go along with a new life, in a new place. I found a wonderful teacher in mixed media and embarked on a discovery of painting from the heart. Learning to just let my colors and media take me wherever they pulled me was an exciting new adventure in expression. It seemed that these new paintings came from the center of my very being and were very spiritual in nature. By painting from my gut instead of my head, with no concern for what the paintings meant or whether they looked like something, I was able to free up some inner person that I had never known before.”

Recently, Marti has been exploring something that she likes to call “Apertures” – openings – windows into what is behind the surface of the painting. This series of paintings and collages has grown over several years and she has found it interesting to develop a multi-layered work that seems to contain mysteries to be discovered, pathways into the depth of the painting. Michele A. Congdon Named as New Featured Artist

Light Space & Time is very pleased to announce that Michele A. Congdon is the gallery’s new featured artist.

Jupiter, FL, USA (September 16, 2013) — Light Space & Time is very pleased to announce that Michele A. Congdon is the gallery’s new featured artist. Michele will now be featured by the gallery for her outstanding landscape and nature watercolors.

Michele has created a distinct personal style that, while eclectic, is consistent but never static. Her paintings are an invitation to take the journey with her, sharing in the excitement of discovery.

Michele’s father was a painter, and he introduced her to art at an early age. She soon discovered that holding a brush gave her intense pleasure. Although oil was the medium she learned first, Michele has embraced watercolor as her chosen means of expression. Mostly self-taught, Michele has built a library of art instruction and reference works. Constantly honing her skills and learning new techniques keeps her perspective fresh and her interest high.

Michele is an Associate Member of the American Watercolor Society. She is a member of the Alliance of Professional Artists. Many of her pieces are in private collections. She has a corporate installation at Wright Risk Management and Congdon, Flaherty and O’Callaghan in Garden City, NY and has a first place for watercolor landscape at the Long Island Fair in 2012. Michele’s pieces ‘Lake and Lilies’ and ‘Iris’ were chosen for the 2011 all member show of the Northeast Watercolor Society of which she is an Associate member. Michele was invited to the NY Botanical Garden as an Expert for their Azalea Garden opening Create and Capture Weekend in May 2011 and regularly shows her work online at Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its October 2012 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – October 3, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its October 2012 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The subject for this art exhibition is “Open” (No Theme) and artists were asked to submit their best representational and non-representational art.

An art competition was held in September 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from — 18 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 32 different states. Overall, there were 654 entries from 188 different artists that were judged for this art competition.

Congratulations to the artists who have been designated as this month’s category winners, along with the winning Special Recognition artists. The gallery commends all of the winning artists for their artistic skill and their creativity, as this online art exhibition is indicative of their creativity.

The theme for this art exhibition is “Botanicals” and artists were asked to apply to this competition in August by submitting their best botanical and floral art.

An art competition was held in August 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. Overall, there were 619 entries from 177 different artists that were judged for this art competition.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – August 16, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) is very proud to announce that Durga Garcia, a Florida based fine art photographer is now our featured artist and she will be presented in the Gallery’s Artist Showcase for the next 30 days.

Durga Garcia is a published, International Award winning and merited photographer of fine art images. Durga is a freelance professional photographer of intimate portraits, Art for Artists, Events & Projects.

Durga brings a most uncommon background to her pictures, with a past that has had her live in many countries and across America, working as a racehorse trainer, steeplechase jockey, show jumper, equine veterinary paramedic, art appraiser, yoga teacher and member of the U.S. International Pistol Team.

Durga has parlayed her many years of experience as a certified art appraiser into a special talent for conveying those nuanced details while keeping her senior fine art appraisal accreditations, from both the America Society of Appraisers and the International Society of Appraisers current.

She manages the first year for a Guide Dog in training, often working with one at her side. She is a wife of a U.S. Marine/football referee and mother to 4 awesome daughters.

Currently, she holds positions as the Curator of Exhibitions at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre, is the Staff photographer at the Lighthouse Art Center and works with the Jonathan Dickinson Park & Canine Assist Therapy.

Jupiter, Florida, USA – July 16, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Jadranka Carluccio-Grbic is the gallery’s recent featured artist. Jadranka brings a unique and interesting background, training and history to her creative endeavors as a Croatian artist, Medical Doctor by profession and as an assiduous world traveler.

Since childhood, Jadranka experienced a vast cultural heritage which helped enrich and develop artistic soul. After using various means of traditional artistic expression, she discovered the digital medium. Jadranka explains the medium in the following manner, “digital painting is comparable to oil on canvas or pencil on paper, because the artist does not use a computer to generate images automatically, but rather, that the painting is created on the blank page with no references whatsoever. Drawing, perspective and colors are all generated and created by the artist. The only real difference between digital and the traditional way of painting is in the tool itself. A brush, pencil, canvas or papers are now exchanged with a computer mouse, a digital pen, on a digital means. The digital medium also allows the artist to work with multiple layers, as this allows the artist to correct any error which is much easier than if it was created on a canvas.”

Jadranka’s mixed media paintings are original size, with each painting (biggest) printed on canvas with museum quality giclee technique, hand painted and signed by her, using translucent materic acrylic paint. Call for Entries – Animals Online Art Competition

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 2rd Annual “Animals” Online Art Competition for the month of July 2012.

Jupiter, Florida – June 22, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 2rd Annual “Animals” Online Art Competition for the month of July 2012. 2D artists from around the world are called upon to make online submissions for inclusion into the Gallery’s August 2012 online group exhibition. We encourage entries from artists, regardless of where they reside to apply to this competition by submitting their best animal art. Animal art may include any mammals, birds and animals that live in the water.

Light Space & Time encourages entries from all 2D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of August 2012. Awards will be for 1st through 5th places. Also, 5 Honorable Mention places will be awarded. In addition, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries, Special Recognition rewards will also be given as well. The submission process and the deadline will end on July 28, 2012.

Winners of the “Animals” Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity in the form of email marketing, 70+ press release announcements, 70+ event announcements, and social media marketing and promotion in order to make the art world aware of the artist’s accomplishments. There will also be links back to the artist’s website as part of this achievement.

Kay Pratt Announced as the Gallery’s Featured Artist

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Californian artist Kay Pratt is this month’s featured artist.

Jupiter, Florida – June 16, 2012 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Californian artist Kay Pratt is this month’s featured artist. Kay has participated in several of the gallery’s art exhibitions and she won the Second Annual 2011 Abstract Exhibition for her painting “Play Red”.

Kay states this about her art and her life in California, “As a native Californian I spent my childhood years playing in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains above Sunland Tujunga. Slowly, the majestic spaces I once called “Fort” or “Cave” were diminished by the demands of development – lost forever.

The great Plein Air Painters of the California Coastal and Desert Lands left us the legacy of their works and with them an historical account of those lost places – truly a gift to us all! In the tradition of my late Grandfather, Walt A. Lee and his many “sketch trek buddies” such as Hanson Putthuff and Edgar A. Payne, I try to capture threatened and historical places with love and the hope that my works will remind viewers of the importance of the preservation of the scenic California landscape”.

Kay Pratt is a Visual Artist and a Certified Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner; she is the Founder and Director of the Expressive Arts Therapists Network in Orange County, CA, a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) and The Lighthouse for the blind and visually impaired in San Francisco, California.
