Lifestyle Services Group has today announced that it has added a new and improved mobile phone data back-up, remote device locking and handset location capability to their ever increasing mobile centric solutions.
As the largest provider of Mobile Phone Insurance in the UK, the data back-up solutions will support customers to retrieve personal and multimedia data stored on their phone should it become damaged, lost or get stolen. Additionally, the remote locking functionality enables customers to lock down their handset to prevent unauthorised access to private data and to social networking sites. Also included in the functionality is the ability to locate the handset either by GPS or cell triangulation.

Lifestyle Services Group Data Back-up services enable the mobile phone user to back-up content that includes, photos, contacts, music, ringtones, documents and text messages all over their Wi-Fi or network connection. This coupled with the fact that the back-up services are neither network nor manufacturer restricted, means that this solution offers the greatest level of flexibility for customers in the market.
Andy Morris added: “Our handset location services will also support customers who have misplaced their phone to help them to find it quickly. Additionally the ability to lock your phone and wipe data remotely will prevent the data stored on your phone from being misused, as well as preventing unauthorised access to websites and bank accounts.”
Lifestyle Services Group were the first to offer data back-up solutions within the Retail Banking sector through Packaged Current Accounts, which also provide products such as Mobile Phone Insurance, Travel Insurance and Car Breakdown. The data back-up, handset location and remote locking services will be rolled out to up to 9.5 million customers through Lifestyle Services Group’s client branded schemes operating in the Retail Banking and Mobile Network sectors.
