Huge safety preparations are kept at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida for India’s first ever formula 1 competition Indian Grand Prix. After the official inauguration of Buddha International Circuit, Manoj Gouda, Managing Director of JP Group said in a press conference that huge security arrangements have been kept to make the big event a huge success. He mentioned that as part of security preparations of Indian Grand Prix, you will see about 3000 security staff as well as 1000 law enforcement experts from Uttar Pradesh Police. He was confident that in spite of such maassive security enforcements, there won’t be any inconvenience for the formula 1 fans watching the mega event at the circuit.
At the Buddha International Circuit, the track is 5.14 kilometres long with 16 curves and is one of the fastest Formula One circuits in the world. It has a total spectator capacity of 120,000 people with 20,000 seat capacity in the primary stand. Though the ticket prices are a bit on the higher side, there’s no lack of excitement among the f1 fans. Most of the tickets including the grand stand were sold out for the event. Formula 1 fans can watch the event from their seats or on Television and the total distance covered in the 90 minutes is over 300 km as the cars make 60 laps in the 5.14 km race track. 24 Formula One drivers raced in the event including Sebastian Vettel who also won the inaugural Indian Grand Prix. Indian driver Narayan Kartikeyan raced for Hispania Racing Team while Indian billionaire Vijay Mallya owned Sahara Force India also participated in the event. Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar waved the checkered flag. Top Bollywood actor Sharukh Khan as well as a host of other actors, sports celebrities etc. watched the historic event live at Buddh International Circuit.
Sachin is also a huge formula 1 supporter and is a good friend of 7 times Formula One Driver’s Champion Michael Schumacher. Sania Mirza can’t keep herself away from the thrill while Shahrukh Khan promoted his movie Ra One in the Indian Grand Prix. As a result of an injury on his left toe, Sachin could not participate in the cricket match series against England and so, was eagerly waiting for the Formula 1 event, the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida near Delhi. Bernie Ecclestone, boss of Formula One has invited Sachin personally for the grand event. Sachin has said that he is quite excited about the event. He also said there is lot of difference in watching the race on Television and watching the same live being present at the ground. The speed of the race is just beyond your imagination.
He also said that reason for Indian Grand Prix is the increasing number of the sports lovers in India. It’s new and the associated speed factor is catching with the new generation.
