Timed-AI programs are designed to synchronize ovulation among a group of animals that are often in various stages of the estrous cycle at the initiation of the program. Considering that conception rates of around 40% are considered good, about 60% of cows need to be retreated.
4.Timed AI “forces” the cow to cycle, not allowing the farmer to find fundamental problems that are causing cows not to cycle. Therefore, the fundamental problem may be left unattended for long periods of time.
