The solar system at your children’s fingertips – Encyclopaedia Britannica launch new educational app

Encyclopaedia Britannica, the company famous for educational products has launched a series of apps suitable for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Created with children aged 8-12 in mind, each app is themed around an individual national curriculum topic. Parents can be assured that the apps are appropriate and safe for children to use and are packed full of Britannica facts and content. They also contain a mass of interactive features such as maps, games, quizzes, puzzles, videos and memory tests.

As well as having a slick interface and high-resolution graphics that is ideal for the iPhone 4 retina display the new solar system contains fantastic videos and animations from the historic Moon landing in 1969 to the birth of a planetary system.
