Future Electronics Promotes PAM8014 3.2W Mono Class-D Audio Amplifiers from Diodes Inc

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) May 5, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components founded in 1968 by Robert Miller, has announced immediate shipping availability of the new PAM 8014 3.2W mono Class-D audio amplifiers from Diodes Inc.

Diodes Inc’s new PAM8014 is a 3.2W mono filterless Class-D amplifier with high PSRR and differential input that eliminates noise and RF rectification. It features greater than 90% efficiency and a small PCB area, which makes the PAM8014 Class-D amplifier ideal for portable applications.

The output uses a filterless architecture, minimizing the number of external components and PCB area while providing a high performance, simple and lower cost system. The PAM8014 also provides short circuit protection and thermal shutdown.

Features of the PAM8014 include ultra low EMI, -20dB better than FCC Class-B at 300MHz; up to 93% efficiency at 2W with an 8Ω speaker; few external components; 2.5V to 5.5V supply voltage; thermal shutdown; <1μA shutdown current; 3.2W at 10% THD output with a 4Ω load at 5V supply; superior low noise without input; and short circuit protection, in a U-WLB1313-9 package.

Future Electronics Promotes 3A Adaptive COT Synchronous DC-DC Buck Converters from Diodes Inc

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) April 19, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, has announced immediate shipping availability of AP65352/353 3A adaptive COT synchronous DC-DC buck converters from Diodes Inc.

The AP65352/353 is an adaptive, constant on-time mode synchronous buck converter providing high efficiency, excellent transient response and high DC output accuracy for low voltage regulation. The constant on-time control scheme handles wide input/output voltage ratios and provides low external component count. The internal proprietary circuit enables the device to adopt both low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors, such as SP-CAP or POSCAP and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors.

Features include fixed frequency emulated constant on-time control, good stability independent of the output capacitor ESR, built-in overcurrent limit, built-in over-voltage protection, built-in thermal shutdown protection, and programmable soft start.

Future Electronics Promotes High Efficiency SOT26 Synchronous DC/DC Buck Converters from Diodes Inc.

Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) February 1, 2016 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently announced immediate availability of high efficiency SOT26 1.5A/2A synchronous DC/DC buck converters from Diodes Incorporated.

Efficient operation combined with the standard pin-out, space saving SOT26 package are key features of the new 1.5A AP65101 and 2A AP65201 synchronous DC/DC buck converters recently introduced by Diodes Inc.

These synchronous DC/DC buck converters from Diodes Inc. are ideal for consumer electronics, including TVs, set-top boxes, computer monitors and home audio. The devices achieve maximum continuous current efficiencies up to 97% with improved efficiency at lower loads ensured by an automatic light load algorithm.

The AP65101/201 buck converters are designed for low voltage regulation, especially in distributed power architectures, and operate from 4.5V to 16V inputs while delivering adjustable output voltage from 0.8V up to 80% of VIN. A low quiescent supply current and integrated high and low side switches with low RDS(ON) both help to reduce power loss. Protection features such as under-voltage lockout, overcurrent, over-voltage and over-temperature, help prevent damage to downstream components and stress-induced premature component failure. The device enable pin also has a high voltage tolerance of up to 6V.

The high level of integration and minimal need for external components combined with the small-footprint TSOT26 package provide considerable savings in both cost and circuit board space.
