Wildlife artist Crystal Orlando will show her work at Bull Creek Brewing Company in Liberty Hill, TX on Saturday, June 11th from noon until 5:00. Joining her will be Bill Smith, legendary knife maker from Salado, TX.
Liberty Hill, TX, USA — Crystal is a nationally-acclaimed graphite artist from Temple, TX whose drawings have won numerous awards and garnered recognition for their lifelike detail. She has been called the Master of Emotion, and her drawings can be purchased at CrystalOrlando.com (http://www.crystalorlando.com). They are also found at the National Wildlife Art Museum book store in Jackson, WY, as well as galleries throughout the US. On Saturday, she will be demonstrating her technique and answering questions about her drawings and subjects. She also does commissioned work of wildlife and animals.
Bill Smith has been making knives for nearly 60 years and it is his Bowie Knife that can be viewed at the Alamo. Through a special relationship with the Alamo Museum, Bill will bring the Bowie Knife to the event on Saturday for display. He will also have a collection of his custom knives and will be discussing knife-making and forging, and will share the story of the Bowie Knife. Bill works with wounded warriors and teaches them how to make knives.
Both artists will have items for sale and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
