Michele A. Congdon Named as New Featured Artist

Light Space & Time is very pleased to announce that Michele A. Congdon is the gallery’s new featured artist.

Jupiter, FL, USA (September 16, 2013) — Light Space & Time is very pleased to announce that Michele A. Congdon is the gallery’s new featured artist. Michele will now be featured by the gallery for her outstanding landscape and nature watercolors.

Michele has created a distinct personal style that, while eclectic, is consistent but never static. Her paintings are an invitation to take the journey with her, sharing in the excitement of discovery.

Michele’s father was a painter, and he introduced her to art at an early age. She soon discovered that holding a brush gave her intense pleasure. Although oil was the medium she learned first, Michele has embraced watercolor as her chosen means of expression. Mostly self-taught, Michele has built a library of art instruction and reference works. Constantly honing her skills and learning new techniques keeps her perspective fresh and her interest high.

Michele is an Associate Member of the American Watercolor Society. She is a member of the Alliance of Professional Artists. Many of her pieces are in private collections. She has a corporate installation at Wright Risk Management and Congdon, Flaherty and O’Callaghan in Garden City, NY and has a first place for watercolor landscape at the Long Island Fair in 2012. Michele’s pieces ‘Lake and Lilies’ and ‘Iris’ were chosen for the 2011 all member show of the Northeast Watercolor Society of which she is an Associate member. Michele was invited to the NY Botanical Garden as an Expert for their Azalea Garden opening Create and Capture Weekend in May 2011 and regularly shows her work online at Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery. 3rd Annual Landscapes Art Exhibition Results Now Posted Online

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its September 2013 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online.

Jupiter, FL, USA (September 1, 2013) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its September 2013 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme for this art exhibition is “Landscapes” and artists were asked to apply to this competition in August by submitting their best landscape art.

An art competition was held in July and August 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 17 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 31 different states. Overall, there were 564 entries which were judged for this art competition.

Congratulations to the artists who have been designated as this month’s category winners, along with the winning Special Merit and Special Recognition artists. The gallery commends all of the winning artists for their artistic skill and their creativity, as this online art exhibition is indicative of their creativity.

Call for Entries – 3rd Annual Animals Online Art Competition

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 3rd Annual “Animals” Online Art Competition for the month of September 2013.

Jupiter, FL, USA (August 21, 2013) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 3rd Annual “Animals” Online Art Competition for the month of September 2013. 2D artists from around the world are called upon to make online submissions for inclusion into the Gallery’s October 2013 online group exhibition. The art gallery encourages entries from artists, regardless of where they reside to apply to this competition by submitting their best animal art. Animal art may include any mammals, birds and animals that live in the water.

Light Space & Time encourages entries from all 2D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of October 2013. Awards will be for top ten finalists. In addition, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries received, Special Merit and Special Recognition awards will also be presented as well. The submission deadline will be midnight on September 26, 2013.

Winners of the “Animals” Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity in the form of email marketing, 70+ press release announcements, 75+ event announcements, and wide-spread social media marketing and promotion in order to make the art world aware of the artist’s accomplishments. Art Gallery Announces Cheryl Rau as New Featured Artist

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that fine art photographer Cheryl Rau is the gallery’s newest featured artist.

Jupiter, FL, USA (August 15, 2013) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that fine art photographer Cheryl Rau is the gallery’s newest featured artist. Cheryl Rau is a mid-life emerging artist who lives on the Southern Coast of Maine. Since 2010, her work as a documentary/fine art photographer has been selected for numerous regional, national, and international exhibitions. Key elements of her style are vibrant colors and movement, as much of her work explores the ideas of impermanence and transformation.

Cheryl found her passion for photography in her 40s when she purchased her first SLR camera. She explored a wide range of subjects and genres including landscapes, architecture, portraits of people with their pets, and documentary photo essays. During this developmental stage, she also began shooting a series of abstract images of reflections on water for fun, as she roamed around the working waterfront in Portland, Maine with her camera.

As a self-taught artist, she continues to create new images for the “Water Colors” series and has developed several new bodies of work during the past three years. Earlier this year while recovering from cornea transplant surgery on her right eye (the one that sees through the camera viewfinder) and unable to see well enough to shoot for several months, she began experimenting with digital collage as a way to create new art by combining multiple images shot in past years.

Cheryl has held professional positions in marketing and communications, event management, and training. She is a graduate of the photography program at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies (Portland, ME). She earned a bachelor of arts in Journalism & Communications from Point Park College (Pittsburgh, PA). Originally from Pennsylvania, Cheryl lived in the Washington, DC area for 15 years prior to relocating to the Maine coast. Cheryl’s website is http://www.cherylrauphotography.com.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery has announced that professional artist Toni Silber-Delerive is the gallery’s newest Featured Artist.

Jupiter, FL, USA (July 15, 2013) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery has announced that professional artist Toni Silber-Delerive is the gallery’s newest Featured Artist. Toni will now be featured in the Artist Showcase for the next 30 days.

Born in Philadelphia, Toni Silber-Delerive studied painting at the Philadelphia College of Art and graphic design at the School of Visual Arts. A Manhattan-based artist and graphic designer, her work is represented in private and corporate collections and has been in many exhibitions.

Toni’s aerial-view paintings represent diverse places and spaces of the contemporary landscape seen from an above ground perspective. The flattened surface planes convey the textures of abstract space enhanced by compositional aesthetics and skillful use of color. From the elevated position of high-rise buildings and helicopters, her images of cities and towns, factories and farmlands, power plants, suburban communities and highways are delivered with a distinctive angle on structures frequently taken for granted.

More than just a recording of the contemporary landscape, Toni’s paintings are her own interpretation of the essence of these scenes. They combine elements of abstraction and representation, pattern and grid, surface and illusion, as well as observation, imagination, and memory. Whether hovering high above city streets and highways, floating serenely over the countryside, or soaring above towns, harbors and monuments, they examine the relationship between man-made and natural, urban and rural, agrarian and industrial, power, labor and leisure.

Toni’s appreciation of unconventional views and eternal human habits come together in her up-close, above-view paintings of food. While the colors and shapes are traditional, the oversized proportions painted from above display the subject in a way that is both original and recognizable. Jupiter, Florida, USA – May 20, 2013 — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces its 3rd Annual CityScapes online juried art competition for the month of June 2013. The gallery urges all 2D artists (Including Photography) to submit their best CityScape art for inclusion into the gallery’s July 2013 online group exhibition.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery encourages entries from all 2D artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field to send the gallery your best interpretation of the theme “CityScapes”. Cityscape subjects would be considered to be any 2D art depicting cities, towns, urban scenes and any related metropolitan subjects for this art competition.

Jupiter, FL, USA (May 15, 2013) — Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that professional artist Basha Maryanska is the gallery’s new featured artist. Art has always been a part of Basha’s life as long as she can remember. She received a classical art education in Europe where after completing her master level of art study in Poland, she went to France to hone her skills at the École de Louvre in Paris where she learned a lot from the old European masters.

Basha eventually came to America, as she was drawn to the country by it’s majestic Nature and that has been her main source of inspiration ever since. She studied American Hudson River School paintings and this evident in her works which are strongly intertwined with her own artistic vision of the Hudson Valley landscapes.

Basha has travelled extensively around the United States and other countries of the world in pursuit of her motifs. She states this about here art, “As an abstract landscape painter I want my paintings to show the beauty of the Hudson Valley, Arizona, Caribbean Islands, Bali, Jai Pour, the Alps, Mediterranean coast and other places that I visited on my artistic journeys. I also love the energy of great cities. I recently created the series of paintings depicting complex and electrifying energy of Manhattan.”
