WorldSIM launches a new international SIM card that ends roaming charges for travellers worldwide

LONDON, March 24, 2016 — /EPR NETWORK/ — Finally the extortionate roaming charges travellers face when they go abroad has become a thing of the past. Roaming experts, WorldSIM have launched a new smart international SIM card that allows international travellers to pay the same rates as locals when they travel overseas. Importantly, users can also roam on their existing number with the use of WorldSIM’s virtual phone number service.

In Canada and Mexico, a call back to the US is just 22 cents and it’s free to receive calls. In addition, Hyatt has an ongoing commitment to green meetings. At Hyatt, we have the same commitment to caring for the earth as we do to caring for our guests. Follow these 10 steps to reduce the environmental impact of your.

1. Plan Ahead. Surprises are lots of fun, but not for meetings. Provide us with your meeting info and event orders 10 days in advance to reduce the use of last minute resources.
2. Please Recycle. Commit to using the recycling bins provided by the hotel at all functions, meetings, offices and guest rooms – making it easy to be green. Recycling services vary by property.
3. Print local. It’s better to print it there than bring it there. It’s even better to print on recycled paper – we’re here to help you coordinate all your printing needs and will provide you with a list of recommended environmental printing services.
4. Ship Less. Shipping meeting materials wastes fuel, paper, plastic, energy and water. So, no more than one pallet of materials can be shipped to the hotel for each 100 rooms occupied and no more than ½ pallet going home.
5. Take what you need. Rather than handing out pens and note pads, place all meeting materials in a central location so meeting attendees can take only what they need.
6. Ban the bottle. Drinking lots of water is good. But not from a plastic bottle. Instead, use reusable bottles and refill at conveniently located filtered water stations.
7. Waste not. While we’re at it, let’s eliminate the use of other disposable products at meetings. Exceptions can be made for Boxed meals and poolside service.
8. Keep it comfy by setting reasonable meeting temperatures. Set the meeting room temperature at an agreed-upon number and keep it there. Not too hot, not too cool is just right.
9. Eat Local. Don’t think of it as just a meeting, think of it as chance to sample the local flavor. Our seasonal banquet menus feature locally grown and sourced products.
10. Use Recycled Products. Your ideas will look just as smart on 100% recycled paper. Other items, such as menus and pens should have at least some recycled material too.

TPConnects’ First Airline Customer Now Live with IATA NDC with the Latest Publication of the NDC Standard

The aggregator and booking tool with NDC standard will change the way air travel is retailed by giving travel agents the capability to access features and options typically available only through airline websites.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates — TPConnects, a technology solution provider to the global trade today confirmed that its Travel Aggregator platform based on IATA NDC’s XML-based data transmission standard is now live for its first airline customer in United Arab Emirates.

The announcement of the first airline delivering live transaction with IATA NDC standard in Africa and Middle East region was made by IATA’s Director General and CEO, Tony Tyler, during the IATA Middle East and Africa Aviation day in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 27th October.

By adapting the NDC Standard and using TPConnects platform, the airline will be able to differentiate its products and services, distribute the entirety of the product portfolio, including ancillaries and promotional fares, present the airline’s products in an attractive manner using rich format like photos and videos, expand the amount of information available on each product: attributes, facilities, policies, passenger reviews etc. and offer value-added products and services when applicable in addition to other non-air product offerings like hotels, cars, activities, event and concert tickets and insurance.
