Breakthrough discoveries in human brain structure, language, the psychology of human behavior, evolution, morality and democracy made by A3 Society founder Bruce Nappi are being made available to the Occupy Wall Street effort to provide a new foundation upon which to restructure the U.S. government.
The basic government structures described in the U.S. Constitution emerged from beliefs which explained a world that was very different from what we have now. That world was characterized by: low population, primitive subsistence agricultural, isolated communities, local economies, and a wealth of natural resources. The models for nature, humanity and the conduct of life were based on superstition, and used religious language. The principles: Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness, Freedom of Religion, Speech, Assembly, Right to Bear Arms, and Family were also defined by the beliefs of that time.
The Renaissance brought an explosion of challenges to the religious interpretations of all of these principles. This splintered the Christian world and produced an upheaval in governance, pulling control away from the Pope and establishing independent countries and religions across Europe under the control of kings. Philosophy went into turmoil. Academics scrambled to re-explain the world, the behavior of humans, and the meaning of morality.
In the middle of this turmoil, a handful of English colonies in a “new world” abundant with resources, launched a bold experiment. They wanted to free themselves from Authoritarianism, Aristocracy and Religious Doctrine: a government, OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE.
Change, however, drastically accelerated. The industrial revolution brought power tools, automation, chemistry, electronics, high speed WORLD WIDE transportation and instant communications. World population exploded beyond what the planet can sustain. In just ONE CENTURY, these new technologies so drastically boosted humanity’s ability to plunder the planet, that we are now facing depletion of most natural resources. YET, these awesome new capabilities are still being directed by a government structure designed to govern a much simpler world.
In two new books, scientist, engineer and philosopher Bruce Nappi presents breakthrough concepts that expand the discoveries of the world’s greatest thinkers to include modern knowledge and combine them into an integrated system. Although the monks are walking from province to province instead of walking in the forest, they still have to practice their mind. This is the first time in history of Buddhism that 1,127 Theravada monks are doing Tudongha in unison for the distance of 365 km. It will take them 24 days to walk on the path strewn with rose petals and with local people waiting along the path saying “Sadhu” to express their joy in seeing the monks doing this Tudongha on the entire route. What inspires a large number of people to carry out this activity continuously for a long time in strong heat of the afternoon sun? These people never give up their intention even though they have to wait on the rugged roads and lack various means of comfort. They never neglect their participation even for a short time.
