1,127 Buddhism Tudongha Monks in Thailand

These eye-opening pictures have been happening for 12 consecutive days in Thailand. The starting date was on Jan 2, 2012 and it has been going on until today, Jan 13.  It will continue on until Jan 25, 2012 which is the last day of this special activity. Normally, Tudongha in Buddhism involves the discipline of detaching from materials as they are in order to free the mind from defilements.

Although the monks are walking from province to province instead of walking in the forest, they still have to practice their mind. This is the first time in history of Buddhism that 1,127 Theravada monks are doing Tudongha in unison for the distance of 365 km.  It will take them 24 days to walk on the path strewn with rose petals and with local people waiting along the path saying “Sadhu” to express their joy in seeing the monks doing this Tudongha on the entire route. What inspires a large number of people to carry out this activity continuously for a long time in strong heat of the afternoon sun?  These people never give up their intention even though they have to wait on the rugged roads and lack various means of comfort. They never neglect their participation even for a short time.

This is because of the peaceful temperament of the monks who have practiced their mind very well.  This enables the Buddhists to touch the real core of Buddhism by watching the monks doing their Tudongha. The monks and the people intend to walk the various routes that cover 6 provinces in order to pay homage to the 6 significant places that their Great Master used to stay.

As of today, the 1,127 Tudongha monks have walked through 2 places which are in Song Pi-Nong District, Suphanburi Province. These places are: 1. Phra Mongkolthepmuni Memorial which is the place where The Great Master was born, and 2. Song Pi-Nong Temple where The Great Master ordained.Today, all 1,127 Tudongha monks are coming to the third important place which is Boadbon Temple, Bangkuvieng, Nonthaburi Province where The Great Master attained Dhammakaya.

The monks have walked 150 km. already and they have to walk the remaining of 215 km. in 12 more days and that will be the end of this Tudongha.  We can say that this had never happened before in history.  What will happen next?  Let us continue in the next episode. Palestinian Statehood Bid Questioned at UN Headquarters in New York by International Christian Delegation

September 9, 2011 — /RTPR/ — NEW YORK – A group of Christian pastors presented an outline of Bible prophesies to the U.N. relating to the proposal to recognise Palestine this month and the dangerous consequences to the nations. As reported by The Washington Post and The Associated Press in a news release dated Wednesday, August 31, 2011, Israel is resigned to the U.N. General Assembly’s endorsement of a planned Palestinian bid for admission as a state to the United Nations in late September.

Conservative Christians are virtually unanimous in their support for Israel. In mid-August, Yahoo News news.yahoo.com reported that Bible-believing pastors were in New York City to warn U.N. officials concerning the Palestinian’s admission to the United Nations. The group informed officials of the Bible’s strong warnings against dividing the land of Israel. One member of the delegation was quoted as saying“There’s a Jew on the throne of heaven and Israel is his land.”

They have repeated their warnings of the Bible’s declaration of the true owner of the land of Israel and the predicted consequences to the Nations that are involved in dividing Israel. A summation of their beliefs is as follows:

1. God’s ownership of the entire land of Israel is absolute and His conveyance of the land to the Jewish people disallows U.N. authority over Israel.

• God said of Israel, “The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine…” Leviticus 25:23

• God gave it, “To Israel for an everlasting covenant, saying, unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance” “And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee…all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Genesis 17:8

2. Granting nation status to the Palestinians defies God’s declaration of ownership and will lead to the following judgments:

• God said that all nations would collectively divide the land of Israel and that the people and nations involved would be judged severely. They used the following Bible verses to support their case: Zechariah 12:3 “…I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Joel 3:2 states: “I will also gather all nations …and will plead with them…for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.”

• The Bible also teaches that subsequent to dividing the land of Israel, God will bring the following types of catastrophes and judgments which are revealed in the Prophets and the New Testament:

• Worldwide financial collapse

• Worldwide weather disasters and extreme heat waves

• The greatest earthquake of all time leading to the cities falling

• Worldwide famine with plagues and pestilence

• Armageddon

“For the LORD shall rise up …he shall be wroth…Now therefore be ye not mockers…: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.” Isaiah 28:21-22

Some have asked how a loving and merciful God could seek to destroy the nations for coming against Israel. The answer they state is that they have rejected The Lord Jesus Christ, referred to in the Bible as the King of the Jews and the ruler of heaven and earth.

• “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18

• “The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.” Psalms 110:5-6

Several U.N. staff members agreed that the Bible teaches that Jesus, who paid for the sins of the world with His blood, will return and reign over the whole earth. The delegation quoted the following Biblical verses in the context of Jesus’ offer of mercy and imminent worldwide reign: “And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up…to worship the King, the LORD of hosts…” Zechariah 14:16

Those who recognize their personal sin and ask Jesus for salvation will escape the world-wide judgements. “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness…” Mark 7:21-22

KISS Star Gene Simmons’ Therapist On His Issues: ‘Do I Have To Pick Just One?’

July 26, 2011 – /RTPR/ – Dr. Ann Wexler is a Beverly Hills-based psychologist specializing in couples therapy. She is currently appearing onGene Simmons Family Jewels, where she has been helping theKISS star and his longtime partner Shannon Tweed sort through their relationship troubles. In a new interview with Examiner.com, when asked to identify Simmons’ primary therapy issue Wexler quipped, “Wow. Do I have to pick just one?”

On a more serious note she said, “When I very first met him, I thought, ‘Wow, we really need to break through this rock star persona, this TV persona. We have to break through this and I need to find out who he really is. I need to get to who he really is for us to do real work.’ And it turned out that he really did let me in, but I didn’t know if he was going to.”

Dr. Wexler said that Simmons’ public displays of cockiness are actually a front to cover up insecurities that stem from his father abandoning him when he was a child. “I believe that insecurity has stayed with him his whole life,” she stated. “Even though he’s been so hugely successful, and he’s so talented, he still has this feeling deep inside of having to prove that he’s the man. And I think that’s why he sometimes comes off with an overblown self-confidence.”

The show’s season finale airs Tuesday night, and previews show Simmons finally proposing to Tweed after 28 years of being, as he terms it, “happily unmarried.” Wexler said that despite the hard work she’s done with the couple, the decision whether to stay together or go their separate ways has to come from them. “I don’t have an agenda as a psychologist. Pandora Jewellery Line Launches Online Mag

Jun 22 2011 /RTPR/ – The Copenhagen-based jeweller behind the Pandora bracelets range is set to venture into online publishing to help it to stay in contact with its millions of customers worldwide.

The first issue of the online magazine will launch on 20th June 2011 and will be sent to the 1.6 million members of their website-based Pandora Club.

The magazine will feature behind the scenes insights into the brand, fashion shoots, style tips and the stories behind customer’s purchases of Pandora jewellery and bracelets. Published six times per year, the magazine will initially launch in an international format which the company eventually hopes to be able to adapt with local content such as special events and promotions.

The launch of the magazine marks an important step in the evolution of the company. Since the UK launch in 2006 the company’s product range, which now includes rings and watches, has been selling at a phenomenal rate. The company has managed supply and demand successfully, due in large part to its integrated designs, manufactures and distribution.
