Non-Profit Organization & Boutique Join Forces to Combine Food, Drink, and Atmosphere To Illustrate Mana Culture Boutique’s Charitable Commitments, and To Make a Lasting Impression on the Austin Fashion Scene.

Austin, TX – Mana Culture Boutique, whose founders/owners both bring unique senses of style, aesthetics and great energy to every event they undertake, will host the delicious repast for the cocktail grand-opening of their new store in October.

For the benefit 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, October 16th 2009, Mana Culture Boutique will entice Austinites with unique local and international jewelry. Hosteria Verde Supper Club and Catering will delight guests with exotic appetizers paired with specialty cocktails and attendees will enjoy music from DJ el John Selector. El John Selector who is a member of such talented groups as Thievery Corporation and Charanga Cakewalk, will be spinning international lounge music while fire throwers, belly dancers, and guests will be dancing to his beats. Everyone will be encouraged to tour the boutique, lounge on platform beds, and have fun! This sexy soiree will be outdoors so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Since their meeting in Hawaii in September 2003, owners Jahnavi and Jonathon Sievert have been traveling to experience and immerse themselves in different cultures and countries. After deciding to move to Austin to be closer to their families, the Sievert’s have successfully combined their passions(Jahnavi’s love for international jewelry and Jon’s love of people & travel)into one beautiful boutique: Mana Culture.

Founder/owner Jahnavi Sievert has lived in several places such as London. Malayasia, Singapore, and Hawaii.. She believes the different cultures she has experienced has created her love of jewelry and describes her style as incorporating international style and culture.

Founder/Owner Jonathon Sievert is a native Texan and has lived all over Mexico and Hawaii. A natural at different languages he was able to begin a surfing school in Hawaii and Mexico.

Mana Culture Boutique offers an exotic exploration of colors, designs, and local and internatioanl trends. There you will find many one of a kind designs and specialty pieces that are not only unique, but affordable. Guests of the boutique should expect to be greeted warmly with a cup of chai tea, the Sievert’s dog Kona underfoot, and to feel a sense of community.

Mana Culture Boutique’s deep rooted commitment to aid non-profits from Austin and the international community sets this small business apart from most. Each month guests are encouraged to donate their change to a large green glass jar next to the register and a portion of Mana Culture’s sales will be donated to a different non-profit each month. The non-profit organizations that will receive donations this fall include Charity Bash, Carita’s, and the SPCA. Mana Culture also aspires to become a cultural learning center offering things such as foreign language classes, art and cultural dance instruction for all ages.
