Yageo has introduced automotive grade MLCCs in two temperature characteristics: NPO and X7R. The AC Automotive series features excellent long term reliability and improved mechanical properties. Pointe Claire, Quebec (realtimepressrelease) October 21, 2015 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, promotes the waterproof harsh environment series HEC and HEC2 from Power Dynamics Inc.

The waterproof harsh environment series HEC and HEC2 from Power Dynamics Inc. are designed for rugged indoor and outdoor applications, and feature easy to use and assemble components. All are highly resistant to UV rays, chemicals, and shock/vibration. Both series feature bayonet locks for easy locking and unlocking.

The HEC series consists of a keyed multi-pin configuration that includes 3 power and 4 signal plus ground. The contacts are rated up to 20A, 400V UL and 25A VDE with signal contacts 3A, 60Vmax. The mated connectors are rated for immersion beyond 1m (IP68) and protected from steam-jet cleaning (IP69K). The HEC2 series are miniature connectors rated up to 2A, 175V and have 8 contacts. The receptacle remains waterproof (IP67) while unmated. The contacts are sealed in a touch-proof design, providing even more protection from debris and rugged use.

Typical applications include instrumentation, robotics, industrial control, test and measurement, agriculture, transportation, and security.

Semi-autobiographical, AMERICAN SHERO is author, Courtney Long’s first novel. His earlier work, Love Awaits was published by Bantam Books. Also a playwright in residence at La Garra Theatre in Silver Spring, MD, under the non de plume, Bless ji Jaja, he has directed and worked with such talents as Oscar nominated, Taraji P. Henson, Emmy recipient, Shemar Moore, and Grammy recipient, Erykah Badu. His produced works on various stages from New York to California includes the plays, Birth, M, Barberdashers, The Window King, and Uncle Tom vs. Uncle Sam. The latter, come 2016, co-produced by Anthony Anderson of ABC’s primetime hit comedy, black’ish. Courtney is a graduate of Howard University’s College of Fine Arts and lives in Brooklyn, New York where he is a teaching artist at Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza’s Youth Arts Academy.
