Where2Golf Celebrates 10th Anniversary as Golf’s Ultimate Online Information Source

LONDON, England, February 16, 2015 — /REAL TIME PRESS RELEASE/ — Where2Golf.com is celebrating its 10th anniversary as the ultimate online information source for the game of golf where golfers can ‘discover the best’ in golf travel and refer to its vast library of golf facts, figures and images.

Whilst first and foremost a comprehensive guide to the finest golf courses and the top golf destinations in the world, Where2Golf also houses an encyclopaedia of golf information covering international tournaments, both professional and amateur, a Who’s Who of golf, from the world’s best professionals to some of golf’s best course designers, as well as a golf dictionary that explains the game’s unique terminology.

Where2Golf began as a hobby back in 2002 for site founders, Nigel Butler and Suzanne Lenaerts, but it was three years later when they quit corporate life and committed themselves fulltime to expanding Where2Golf that it began to crystallize into the complete golf resource that it is today.

The professional development of the website started in 2005 with the couple visiting golf destinations and playing golf courses around the globe to ensure that their content was tried, tested and true and that the information they were providing was as accurate and objective as it could be.

“Nigel and I realised that if we were going to take on the huge task of growing Where2Golf into one of the world’s most complete golf guide we needed to devote 100% of our time to the project,” explains Suzanne. “ We gave up our jobs and began by seeking out and playing what most golfers would describe as the “best” golf courses on the planet. The Where2Golf resource you see today is the culmination of our combined experience of playing, assessing and covering over 4,500 golf courses over the last 10 years, from Europe to America, Australasia to Africa”.

As the content grew, so the website traffic grew.

Testament to the reputation the site has gained as a credible and reliable course reviewer, Where2Golf now generates an impressive 90,000 views per month and rising.

Though not exhaustive, this unique resource represents a wide and rich selection of courses that the general consensus of travelling golfers all over the world would want to play. To keep Where2Golf live, course reviews and new golfing destinations are added to and updated regularly. Turkey for example has recently been included in the golf destinations section.

The golf course reviews are based on Nigel’s and Suzanne’s assessment of three main aspects of a course: the quality of the design and layout, the conditioning and presentation and the attractiveness of the setting. The quality of the clubhouse, practice ground and associated facilities above and beyond the golf course are not factored into the ratings.

Another unique feature of the website is its high quality maps that feature all the courses Where2Golf covers. These maps are a powerful tool when planning a golf trip and mean that golfers can identify their preferred location boasting several great courses while basing themselves centrally. A quick click on each course details nearby recommended hotels whilst ‘Stay & Play’ courses are also indicated.

The encyclopaedia section of Where2Golf is as comprehensive as its golf course coverage.

In the Tournaments category, the results of all the top professional tournaments on the PGA, European, LPGA, LET, Asian and Seniors Tours are covered as well as the top amateur (both men and ladies) scene. Incredibly this coverage goes back as far as 1860.

The Who’s Who category  not only includes the world’s top players but also celebrated golf course designers, golf journalists and club makers and many other golf “celebrities”. Biographies of each individual are listed as well as golfing achievements and their contribution to the world of golf.

Finally a dictionary on the site explains the meaning of the terminology used in the game and offers the first steps in trying to demystify what the sport is about and making it more understandable and approachable.

After 10 years in the making, Where2Golf really is the most comprehensive one-stop shop for travelling golfers.

SmartTOP USB Support and Update Software Now Available for Mac OS

The SmartTOP add-on convertible top controllers offered by aftermarket automotive specialist Mods4cars all come equipped with a standard USB port. This port allows customers to connect the product to their computers or laptops and quickly update the module firmware or configure the different user programmable options. Updates are available free of charge for the life of each product. The software program is now available not only for Windows but also for Mac OS.

Las Vegas, NV (USA), January 08, 2013 — The add-on aftermarket SmartTOP modules made by Mods4cars allow easy and convenient operation of the convertible top. They give owners the ability to raise and lower the top at slow speeds of up to 60km/h (~38mph) while adding one-touch auto-operation. Most modules also allow use of the original factory remote fob to operate the top from afar and each module has an individual set of user programmable bonus features.

All SmartTOP modules come equipped with a standard USB port. Thanks to the USB connection it is possible to quickly and easily configure the functionality according to personal taste and to update the product firmware online. All that is needed is a computer and the Mods4cars support software available at http://www.mods4cars.com. The software application, called m4cconnect, is now available for Macs running OS X Lion or Mountain Lion.

After installing the program and connecting the module, all settings can be configured with just a few mouse clicks. Users can select for example the maximum speed for top operation and if they want to allow remote operation or not. Often additional features, which are developed as a result of customer feedback, make it into the product firmware after the release. The USB port makes it possible for existing customers to quickly update their modules and profit from improvements and added functionality later down the road.

Updates are provided by Mods4cars without limitations and free of charge for the lifetime of each product. Each kit comes complete with a 6ft USB cord that can be left connected and installed in an accessible spot in order to configure or update the product with a laptop without the need to gain physical access to the module itself.

“The USB port present on all of our SmartTOP modules allows us to offer an unparalleled level of service and technological lead in this product segment.” says PR-Manager Sven Tornow. “We are happy to announce that from now on Mac owners are able to join the ranks of happy Windows users already using this service.” Sven Tornow concludes. A full list of all firmware versions and changelogs is available here: http://www.mods4cars.com/usb

About Mods4cars:
Mods4cars was founded in 2002 with the idea to add a highly demanded feature to the otherwise almost perfect Porsche Boxster: Comfort One-Touch roof operation while driving at slow speeds. The resulting product offered not only that, but also allowed quick and easy installation by just swapping out a relay box, thus leaving no traces and no permanent changes on the vehicle. The first SmartTOP roof controller was born.

The success of their first products in Germany and Europe prompted them in late 2004 to move operations to the USA, to be able to serve the American market as well as all other English speaking countries such as Australia, UK and South Africa from one central location. Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in Las Vegas and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

Being highly specialized in the development and distribution of aftermarket roof- and comfort controllers since 2002 allows them to offer an unsurpassed level of competence and product quality. Their main goal is optimization of each individual product to a maximum in compatibility, usability and intuitive operation. They put greatest effort into development and quality checks of all their products to achieve this goal and meet all expectations of their customers.

The extraordinary success of their products is also based on the great communication with their customers, which usually already starts for each new product during the development and prototyping phase.

Ocean, NJ, March 15, 2011 — Mods4cars is announcing new convertible roof controllers for 7 cars. After-market SmartTOP modules for the BMW 6 Convertible (F12), the Mercedes Benz SLK (R172), and the Nissan 370Z Roadster will be available this year. Plug and Play Harness for the Peugeot 308 CC Convertible-Module

Starting immediately, the convertible module for the Peugeot 308 CC will include a Plug N Play harness. This new harness allows for a quick and easy installation of the convertible module.

Ocean, NJ, February 12th, 2011 — The Mods4cars SmartTOP convertible module for the Peugeot 308CC is now available with a Plug N Play harness. This harness is a custom development that allows easier and faster installation of the convertible module without any splicing into the OEM wiring.

Furthermore, it is possible to activate (open/close) the convertible top while in motion up to a speed of 40km/h. With these modules, it is possible to open and close the top while driving slowly or control the roof from a distance using the original remote fob. The SmartTOP is now available for 209 € + tax and 399 € + tax respectively.

Ocean, NJ, February 05, 2011 — Mods4cars has reduced the price of their SmartTOP roof controllers for the Opel (Vauxhall) Astra TwinTop and the Bentley Continental Gran Tourismo Convertible. The after-market module for the Opel Astra TT is now available for only 209 € + tax, the add-on roof controller for the Bentley Continental is now available for 399 € + tax.

“We’re kicking off 2011 with a price reduction that we hope will encourage more convertible owners to use this practical module,” explains PR spokesman Sven Tornow. The SmartTOP module makes it possible to open and close the top from a distance by pushing a button on the original remote fob, but without having to change or reprogram the car key.

Additionally, the roof can be opened or closed while driving (up to 40 km/h). Thanks to the One-Touch function, all it takes is pushing the center console switch briefly. The existing remote fob can also be used to open and close the windows from outside the car.

The roof controller can be completely deactivated if needed and can also be personalized. Its standard USB connector allows the customer to configure all settings and install firmware updates which are available free of charge for the life of the product, on a standard PC.

SmartTOP roof modules are also available for the following cars: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volkswagen, and Volvo.

Their business has grown to a full-fledged international corporation with an office in California and a full line of innovative products as well as distributors and installation partners all over the globe.

RemoteKEY Comfort Controller for the Audi A2

Mods4cars is releasing the after-market RemoteKEY comfort controller for the Audi A2 in February 2011. Using the original remote control, one can open and close the windows or close the sunroof with the touch of a button.

Ocean, NJ, January 25, 2011 — The RemoteKEY comfort controller by Mods4cars gives Audi A2 owners extra convenience and functionality. It is possible to open and close the windows using the original remote fob without having to reprogram key or car.

With the RemoteKEY module, the sunroof can be closed from a distance and the gas cap can be unlocked comfortably from outside the car by remote control. The awkward process of unlocking the gas cap from inside the car is replaced by the convenience of pushing a button on the remote fob.

“The installation process for the RemoteKEY comfort controller for the Audi A2 is very simple: an additional control module is installed under the driver’s seat using a plug and play adapter that comes with the unit,” explains PR spokesman, Sven Tornow. “Absolutely anyone can install it without problems in just a few minutes,” states Tornow.

Additionally, the latest comfort controller can be completely deactivated as needed and can be personalized with additional functions: the switch for the driver’s window can be used to open or close all the windows, and the controller can be adjusted to lock the car automatically while driving.

The RemoteKEY comfort controller features a standard USB connector that allows you to configure the device on your PC and install free software updates.

Mods4cars also provides upgradeable controllers for the following cars: Alfa, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Infiniti, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Volvo and Volkswagen.

The comfort controller for the Audi A2 costs 169,00 Euro + tax.
