This Holiday Night EP and “ES Navidad” Available Now

Los Angeles, CA, November 16, 2014 – Seven-time Billboard charting singer/songwriter Margo Rey has re-released her Christmas EP, This Holiday Night including the original title track along with unforgettable classics, “Toy Land” and “Silent Night”. Special Guest Performance by 6-time Billboard Charting Singer-Songwriter Margo Rey Event proceeds benefit Brides Against Breast Cancer

Sarasota, FL, October 05, 2013 – Sarasota-based charity organization — Brides Against Breast Cancer — presents “Dia de Los Muertos” a Halloween night of comedy for a cause on Thursday, October 31, at NOVA 535 event space located at 535 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. North in St. Petersburg, Florida, a very special event with only 200 seats in a historic 90 year old building.

Mexican born actor and comedian, Alex Reymundo, featured in the Comedy Central special “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy,” will open the show. Headlining the Halloween performance evening is “Blue Collar Comedy” legend — Comedian Ron White. Joining Ron in support of Brides Against Breast Cancer is the charity’s very own National Ambassador, Singer-Songwriter and 6x Billboard Charting performer Margo Rey. Margo and her band will perform a selection of her charting hits to close the evening on a high note. She will be getting married on October 13th with the bridal show taking place on Sunday, November 3rd at NOVA 535.

Proceeds from the show will benefit Brides Against Breast Cancer, a national non-profit whose “Nationwide Tour of Gowns” helps fund free programs and services for cancer patients and their families throughout Florida and nationally and is affiliated with Harvard and Moffitt Cancer Center.

Doors open at 6:00PM. The show begins at 6:45 pm.
At 9:30pm a DDLM and Halloween costume party, NOVA WEEN 7 gets underway.
Costumes encouraged. Ron White will be a judge.

New Single “Tempted” to be Released on iTunes May 28th

Singer/songwriter Margo Rey today announced her newest single and latest cover of Squeeze’s 80’s track, “Tempted.”

Los Angeles, CA, May 14, 2013 – Singer/songwriter Margo Rey today announced her newest single and latest cover of Squeeze’s 80’s track, “Tempted.” After several male renditions of the British rock band’s piece, Margo decided to turn the tables with an updated pop/R&B female version of the classic tune.

“Tempted” brings out a smooth vibe while still displaying Margo’s very own melodic flair. The single will be available for radio adds starting on May 13th and available for a US digital release on iTunes May 28th.

“When I was approached about doing a cover for my next single, I knew immediately that “Tempted” was the song I wanted to sing and re-arrange as an homage to this very talented band, Squeeze which actually had 3 different singers in the song Glenn Tilbrook, Chris Difford, & Paul Carrack,” states Margo on her thoughts of the making of “Tempted. “I had a fantastic time producing it with my dear friend and collaborator, Barrett Yeretsian.  I am so thankful to Squeeze for writing and recording an unforgettable song that has been my “Habit” to sing for years.”

Margo Rey Prepares For Her Upcoming National Holiday Tour With Dave Koz

Beverly Hills, CA, September 20, 2012 – Organica Music Group is pleased to announce the release of Margo Rey’s highly anticipated CD, Habit. The album features Margo’s new Top 20 charting single “Between Us,” as well as her recent hit song “Let the Rain.” The latter, co-written by Ms. Rey and the legendary John Oates, remained on the charts for an astonishing 21 weeks, making it Billboard’s “Hot Shot Debut” and additionally earning her kudos in the magazine’s “Bubbling Under” column. The duo also teamed up on the stunning cut “Saturn Returns.” Oates sings on both tracks and he provides an ideal complement to Rey’s powerful yet nuanced vocals. Listeners closest to it claim that Habit is its own brand of sonic luxury and Rey emerges as a force of nature — in heels no less.

In addition, Margo is preparing for her upcoming national holiday tour with Dave Koz, which is certain to please her diverse and loyal fan base. I needed my music to sound like me rather than the equipment it was recorded on. Plus, I feel a huge affinity — love affair even — for the singer/songwriter era of the seventies and eighties.” Ms. Rey employed a technique as simple as it is novel in today’s recording environment. She gathered extraordinary musicians in a room and they recorded (equally extraordinary) music together. If that doesn’t sound radical, it should — and Habit underscores the point.
