eGestalt Announces Next Generation Security Posture Management with Aegify

Cloud-based, Software-only solution is powered by Rapid7 technology.

Santa Clara, CA (USA), December 12, 2012 — eGestalt Technologies ( http://www.eGestalt.com ), a provider of IT security monitoring and compliance management for SMBs and enterprises, today announced Aegify, the world’s first completely integrated and unified IT-GRC and cloud-based Security Posture Management (SPM) product using a completely software-based solution.

Security Posture Management (SPM) is the art and science of monitoring and managing business security status by orchestrating process, people, and technological resources to achieve security objectives. This involves identifying business critical IT assets, evaluating their risks based on vulnerabilities and the impact of potential threats, and mapping results directly to controls to initiate appropriate countermeasures.

Aegify SPM is powered by Rapid7’s Nexpose vulnerability management technology, which scans physical and virtual networks, databases, operating systems and web applications, enabling customers to remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations and to enforce policies. Rapid7 ( http://www.rapid7.com ) is a leading provider of IT security risk management solutions used by more than 2,000 enterprises and government agencies in more than 65 countries.

Aegify is a complete integration of eGestalt’s HIPAA and PCI compliance tool SecureGRC, with security posture management capability using an innovative, patent-pending expert systems technology to automatically map the security vulnerabilities to compliance mandates. The tool can import data from other standard vulnerability scanners in the industry as well.

Says eGestalt President Anupam Sahai, “We are very excited about the strategic partnership with Rapid7. Aegify is the first true, software- and cloud-based unified security and IT-GRC solution on the market with end-to-end automation including vendor management and support for multiple compliance business frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA/HITECH, SOX, FISMA, and GLBA. This is also the first product in the market which can automatically map security vulnerabilities to compliance mandates using an innovative expert systems approach thereby eliminating manual work required and saving significant costs. It advances the state of the art in the industry besides still continuing to be 10 to 20 times more cost-effective than any other competing solution.”

There are thousands of security exposures identified and documented as ‘vulnerabilities’. Tools used by cyber-attackers are very sophisticated and attackers can breach the perimeter and steal data within seconds and minutes. Businesses are often caught unaware, discovering the breach only weeks and sometimes months afterwards.

“Aegify SPM brings a new cloud-based approach to managing security posture that is innovative, easy to use, and extremely valuable for defenders,” said Sheldon Malm, Senior Director of Strategic Partners and Alliances at Rapid7. “By leveraging Rapid7 technology, Aegify SPM provides a comprehensive view of exposure risk that is directly connected to business assets and compliance management. This is a complementary offering that will benefit our joint customers.”
A cloud application, Aegify’s SPM “all hands on deck” threat management approach performs asset discovery, vulnerability analysis, risk profiling, threat impact analysis and compliance mapping. It can identify 92,000 vulnerability checks for more than 31,800 vulnerabilities across physical and virtual networks, operating systems, databases, and Web applications.

The cloud-based Aegify engine is driven in large part by eGestalt’s flagship product Aegify SecureGRC, a unified security and compliance management tool that includes all of the necessary security and IT-GRC functionality required to gain control and improve compliance levels across more than 400+ regulations.

While the framework allows for the easy plug-in of any regulation or standard, eGestalt currently offers to the channel ready-to-roll compliance services with built-in frameworks to support the most stringent and popular regulations including PCI, HIPAA/HITECH, SOX, FISMA, and GLBA, as well as more country-specific regulations. Extensible with built-in frameworks, the Aegify SecureGRC solution offers a simplified approach for PCI, HIPAA/HITECH and other country specific frameworks ready-to-use out of the box. It provides automated mapping of a network’s security posture to compliance controls.

All told, the integrated Security Posture Management solution Aegify offers a single approach to security and compliance management, and because it is delivered as SaaS, it is available at low cost due to its “pay –as-your-grow” model.

Digital Risk Chairman Provides Mortgage Industry Perspective to White House Business Council

Kassabov Says Corporate America Needs to Invest in and Train Employees

Maitland, FL, March 22, 2012 – Digital Risk, the nation’s leading and largest risk management and compliance solutions provider, reports that Peter Kassabov, the firm’s chairman and chief executive officer, provided commentary and insight to the White House Business Council in Washington D.C. earlier this week.

The Business Forward event brought Mr. Kassabov and other business leaders together to brief senior White House officials on ways to drive job growth and what government can be doing to help.

Mr. Kassabov’s message to the Administration was that for a “long-term economic and jobs recovery, the key will be for companies to invest in and train employees.”

“On top of Digital Risk’s many corporate goals, our overreaching strategic objective is to help restore confidence in the mortgage industry,” says Mr. Kassabov. “A smart way to achieve success to that end is to work with the administration to incentivize on-the-job training. A highly trained workforce is the key ingredient to reliable companies and a strengthened economy.”

Florida-based Digital Risk recently reported plans to add more than 1,000 full-time, U.S.-based, professional positions in 2012. On average, Digital Risk spends over $10,000 on training each employee to prevent fraud in the mortgage industry, including attaining licenses based on the latest and most important regulations.

“We see too many of our competitors contracting out their work,” says Mr. Kassabov. “For our part we’re too bullish on our industry and too optimistic about the economy to not train full-time employees. We’re building a company to last by investing in our employees.”

This week’s Business Forward event was one of a series of roundtables and briefings designed to bring select business leaders like Mr. Kassabov into the policymaking process.

eGestalt Named a 2011 CRN Emerging Technology Vendor

Channel stands to reap big rewards by using SecureGRC to attract federal meaningful use dollars.

Santa Clara, CA, Wednesday – September 28, 2011 — eGestalt Technologies ( http://www.eGestalt.com ), a leading provider of cloud-based, SaaS-delivered, security and information technology governance, risk management and compliance solutions for SMBs to enterprises, today announced it has been selected by Everything Channel as a 2011 CRN Emerging Technology Vendor. The annual list features the most innovative vendors who not only deliver technology that is easy to use, but can generate the high margins solution providers require.

Channel partners need no more incentive than the $40,000 in ‘meaningful use’ government funds being granted to individual doctor’s offices that install electronic medical records (EMR) that are fully in compliance with HIPAA/HITECH privacy and security rules.

“Large hospitals are eligible for up to $2 million in federal grants,” said eGestalt President Anupam Sahai. “Not only must every physician practice abide by HIPAA rules, but all their business associatestoo must fall in compliance. There are a few million BAs who need to be serviced. So from one hub comes many spokes of potential business for partners jumping on board with SecureGRC.”

Built from the ground up for channel partners, SecureGRC is a cloud-based, SaaS-delivered, $750 per year security and risk assessment, auditing and remediation application. The tool offers peace of mind to channel partners servicing SMBs to large enterprises, including medical providers and their business associates, retailers and merchants that must meet PCI and HIPAA/HITECH requirements.

With version 11 recently released, SecureGRC consolidates all security and compliance-related evidence into a single and centralized repository. It comes stacked with pre-packaged content such as policies that are continuously updated, a trove of best practices, and plenty of assessment questions that make it an easy step-by-step process to run the assessment and prove compliance.

Thanks to the fine print in HIPAA/HITECH legislation, MSPs have a tremendous gold mine of an opportunity to reap big rewards, revenues, and bundling opportunities. The cost of doing a security assessment and PCI compliance can run $100,000 and above.

“Using SecureGRC’saward-winning,patent pending technology, delivered through channel partners, our customers are able to become compliant at 1/10 the cost with very little maintenance. This promises to be a huge boon for the channel,” addedSahai. “And you don’t need to be conversant with the fine print of these PCI and HIPAA/HITECH regulations.”

SecureGRC also offers an automated PCI-DSS compliance management solution that helps meet PCI-DSS requirements in terms ofbuilding and maintaining a secure network; protecting card holder data; maintaining a vulnerability management program; implementing strong access control measures; regularly monitoring and testing networks, and maintaining robust IT security policies. For more information visit: http://www.egestalt.com/automated-pci-compliance-management.html

Channel partners authorized by eGestalt can become Managed Compliance Providers (MCPs), a channel program based around a proprietary “cookbook” that explains in step-by-step fashion on how to get started with delivering managed compliance services through creation of collateral, training, implementation, delivery and on-going playbooks as the business is up and running.

The Federal government has set aside $20 billion for upgrading the healthcare IT infrastructure by the year 2014 – spelling a huge upside for the channel. Service providers can pursue federal ‘meaningful use’ dollars to the tune of $40,000 per qualified physician practice. SecureGRC generates the necessary reports for proving compliance.

“By law, all business associates and sub-contractors affiliated with the given medical practice must follow HIPAA/HITECH compliance rules or face stiff penalties. It could not be more convincing a sale. Like spokes from a wheel, from one customer hub derives multiple new clients to service,” said Jim Hare, eGestaltVice President of Sales.

eGestalt is looking for qualified channel partners who want to help their clients solve and automate the complexities and high costs associated with maintaining and enforcing security and compliance around PCI, SOX, HIPAA/HITECH, ISO, GLBA and other mandatory government and industry regulations that affect most business operations.

For further details please call (408) 689-2586 or email sales@egestalt.com. For further details about the product, please visit http://www.egestalt.com/msp-mssp-partners.html.

eGestalt Launches SecureGRCv11: Managed Security & Compliance Made Easy

Simple, cost-effective, easy-to-use SaaS solution Partners can use to service SMBs, enterprises,Medical Providers & their Business Associates, Retailers & Merchants.

Washington, DC, CompTIA, Saturday – August 06, 2011 — eGestalt Technologies ( http://www.eGestalt.com ) today announced version 11 of its award-winning security and compliance management solution that provides PCI and HIPAA/HITECH-based security and risk assessment, auditing and remediation. The tool offers peace of mind to channel partners servicing SMBs to large enterprises, including medical providers and their business associates, retailers and merchants that must meet PCI and HIPAA/HITECH requirements.

SecureGRC SB™v11 will be offered in two versions: Enterprise and Small Business editions. Partners will immediately realize the benefits of using SecureGRC’s highly automated, scalable, andcost-effective security and compliance management solution complete with pre-audit and post-audit support, a real-time dashboard that offers multiple assessments, reviews and remediation:in short, a configurable policy-based risk model with real-time status.

SecureGRC SB is targeted at small to medium businesses that are looking for an easy-to-use, cost-effective self-assessment based security and compliance solution. The enterprise version of the solution supports the self-assessment capability from SecureGRC SB but adds a pre-audit and audit capability along with complete customizability suitable for medium to large enterprises that are looking for a robust, next-generation security and compliance management solution.

Built from the ground up to profit the channel, SecureGRC offers ready-to-use, pre-packaged content such as policies which are continuously updated, a trove of best practices, and plenty of assessment questions that make it an easy step-by-step process to run the assessment and reach compliance, yet flexible enough to fully customize accordingly.

Being a cloud-based service, service providers/MSPs can take comfort in knowing that no hardware or software deployment is involved. The solution consolidates all compliance-related evidence into a single and centralized repository. Additionally, all data is stored in a SAS 70 Type II secure data center yet no electronic records are removed from the client site.

Delivered exclusively through the channel, the SecureGRC solution allows service providers and MSPs to profit from attaching new bundling opportunities – additional add-on services – that are discovered during the course of conducting their compliance assessments.

“During the course of taking a client through the steps of becoming HIPAA compliant, the SecureGRC tool sniffs out revenue-making bundling opportunities like nothing else I’ve seen,” says David Altizer, vice president of SOS Systems based in Memphis, TN, and an eGestalt partner. “We invariably discover multiple areas that need our attention; we find our clients need written policies, they need endpoint security, they need Active Directory, and a host of other things that improves our perceived value and length of engagement.”

The solution also generates extensive risk and compliance reports on demand – mandatory documentation and reports used to prove full compliancy with auditors.

“We used feedback from the channel to build the easiest, most cost-effective way to ensure that appropriate controls and safeguards have been implemented to prevent unauthorized access and disclosure of sensitive patient data – all that is at the core of meeting and sustaining compliance,” said Anupam Sahai, president, eGestalt. “We have truly demystified the complexity associated with HIPAA/HITECH to the point where absolutely no prior knowledge of these regulations is assumed. This represents a tremendous opportunity especially for service providers who are new to this space, to enter this profitable line of business at virtually no cost.”

Says Altizer of SOS Systems, “Version 11 looks like it’s going to be a lot easier to deploy, a lot easier to manage, and will let us grow a lot faster. It’s a more intuitive user interface, and it’s easier for us to manage our clients. Every concern of ours has been addressed. We are looking forward to v11 and already have two deployments scheduled for it.”
