Authentic Cuba Travel Offers Incredible Access with their Havana Jazz Festival Tour

About the Festival

The 28th Havana Jazz Festival, or Jazz Plaza 2012, is sponsored by the Cuban Institute of Music and has been organized by world-renowned, 7-time Grammy winning musician Chucho Valdes. This year’s festival will run from the 20th to the 23rd of December and will take place at a number of locations in the historic Cuban capital. The tour itself spans from December 16th to December 24th.

Visitors and guests will find that the Havana International Jazz Festival is an event that no jazz lover should miss. In the past, the festival has played host to such talents as Dizzy Gillespie, Ronnie Scott, Luis Monge, The Ronnie Mathews Trio, and many more. In addition to global talents, you will find that the festival brings out Cuba’s finest jazz bands and soloists. Whether you want to experience the main performances or to enjoy the late night jam sessions between artists, you may wish to book your travel now, as festival tours are selling out quickly.

Visitors will find that live music and excitement will be on offer at venues throughout the city. The festival allows you to experience some of the world’s most amazing musicians while taking in the splendor of locations such as Karl Marx Theatre, Mella Theatre, Casa de la Cultura de Plaza, Palacio de La Rumba, and Casa del Alba. The festival is a unique opportunity to experience jazz music on the very island where it has its roots.

The Tour Experience

By booking a Havana Jazz Festival tour with Authentic Cuba Travel, you will get much more than just the chance to hear some of the world’s most remarkable jazz musicians. The tour will take you to some of Havana’s most important and historic locations, including a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will also receive full access to all of the festival’s concerts, including premium seating at both the opening and closing ceremonies.

Booking a tour with Authentic Cuba Travel allows you to truly see why Cuba is one of the most remarkable islands in the Caribbean. While US-Cuban diplomatic relations are strained, relative isolation has helped keep the island authentic and provides a more genuine Cuban experience for travelers who have the chance to visit. Your tour itinerary will offer the chance to see the best that Havana and Cuba have to offer, including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Cienfuegos City, Old Havana, Viñales Valley, and Trinidad. You will also get the opportunity to attend the shooting of the 9 O’Clock Cannon, a historic tradition that dates back to the 16th century, when a cannon shot was fired to signal military men to retreat from their positions and was later used to signal the close of the city walls during colonial times.

Literary and history buffs will also have the chance to experience the world as Ernest Hemingway did during the many years that the island served as his home. You will get the chance to explore Hemingway’s long-time home of Finca Vigia, where the writer spent more than two decades. You will also get the chance to tour the fishing village of Cojimar, which served as the inspiration and backdrop for Hemingway’s famed novel The Old Man and the Sea. In the village, you will find a bust of the author commemorating his impact on the village and its economy. Hemingway, like many visitors to Cuba, was renowned for his appreciation of fine Cuban cigars, and your visit will offer you the chance to tour the famed Partagas Cigar Factory, which has been in operation since 1845.

Hemingway isn’t the only local celebrity that plays a role in your tour experience. When you book with Authentic Cuba Travel, you will have the opportunity to rub shoulders and engage in conversation with many of the island’s most remarkable artists. Festival goers frequently get the chance to meet many of the performers, and your tour includes the opportunity to enjoy a lunch hosted by Jose Fuster- one of the island’s most renowned painters and ceramists. You’ll also get the chance to enjoy a private meeting with world famous architect Miguel Coyula during your visit to the Scale Model of Havana. Coyula is also Havana’s city historian, and his knowledge and appreciation for the city are certain to provide you with a deeper love and appreciation for Havana.

A Havana Jazz Festival Tour with Authentic Cuba Travel offers the chance to experience all of this and much more. A detailed itinerary leaves no stone unturned, providing beautiful accommodations and the chance to explore much of what makes Cuba one of the most amazing and enthralling travel destinations in the world. From breathtaking castles to the Jazz Festival itself, your tour creates an experience unlike any other.

Why Authentic Cuba Travel?

Antonio “A&R” Richardson Promises Growth in 2012

Antonio “A&R” Richardson had a great year in 2011, but in 2012 he’ll only get better.

St. Paul, MN (USA), Thursday – January 05, 2012 — For Antonio “A&R” Richardson, 2011 was a year of development. The Saint Paul, Minn. hip hop artist and actor built on the success he experienced in 2009 and 2010 to further challenge himself to only get better.

In 2011, Richardson saw the release of two major motion pictures, DreamWorks’ Transformers 3 and Warner Bros’ Contagion, both of which he had the pleasure of being cast in. He also released Cool Is Where I Live, a mixtape available on his website, ionlygetbetter.com.

Perhaps the most rewarding challenge for Richardson in 2011 was the launch of his brand, Busy Little Beavers. Creating a clothing line has been a lifelong dream for Richardson, who is continuously cultivating his own style to represent his individuality using the newest trends to compliment his classic style. As an entrepreneur, Richardson ( http://www.ionlygetbetter.com ) values innovation, creativity, and ambition. He emphasizes attention to detail and quality in everything he does. Busy Little Beavers is no exception; Richardson takes great care in creating a product that lives up to his values: detail is key; quality is common sense. The name Busy Little Beavers came from a recording studio session Richardson had in April 2011. The name refers to a sound that moved Richardson, “I asked my producer what the sound was called and he told me “Busy Little Beaver”. I couldn’t explain it, but the name struck me.” For Richardson, Busy Little Beavers was the brand he had been trying to formulate his entire life.

Richardson also had the honor of participating in an after school program for the students of Elizabeth Hall Elementary School in Minneapolis, Minn. The program was developed to improve test scores by providing students with a structured environment to increase academic skills through participation in enrichment activities of their choice. When the program was looking for a music teacher for the fourth and fifth grade students, Richardson was a natural choice. “Music has really saved my life, I don’t know where I would be without it”, says Richardson, who was the same age as his students when he began writing music.

Fans can expect 2012 to be just as busy for Richardson, who plans to release both a mixtape and album in the coming months and to continue to build Busy Little Beavers. Richardson also has a few new business ventures on the horizon that will be sure to please his followers. Check for news regarding his upcoming releases on ionlygetbetter.com ( http://www.ionlygetbetter.com ) or follow his journey at twitter.com/anrmusic. The Danish Rock Band Dead Smiling Pirates Release a New Single from the Upcoming Album

Dead Smiling Pirates Release the New Single “By The End Of” on December 2th.

Copenhagen, Denmark, Wednesday – November 30th, 2011 — Dead Smiling Pirates used in autumn 2011 focus groups from SoundOut to determine the quality of the tracks for their upcoming album “Harvest On A Hype.” Focus groups identified three potential singles. The band has chosen to release one of them as the first single. “By The End Of” is going to be released on December 2th.

Dead Smiling Pirates hails from Copenhagen, Denmark. The three pirates set sail on the musical oceans for a life of music piracy in 2006 and released a debut album in 2007. This power packed trio plays catchy alternative rock filled with an eclectic mix of influences highlighted by lots of tight breaks, trashy guitar riffs, and punk influenced vocals. They back up their sound with attitude focusing on the irony of life, and lyrics about egoism, ethics, and beyond.

The leadsinger Kim Burmeister says “Dead Smiling Pirates plays alternative rock and sounds like something between Paramore, Blink-182, Linkin Park and Metallica”.

Their motto “Release Your Inner Pirate” gives a hint of their ironic and challenging mindset. This take on life is bound to appeal to young and old alike, with the prerequisite being your own punkrock like attitude and undying nonconformist view of life itself with dead aim at the modern day corporate establishment. If you feel this way join the club and give this indie band a good listen. You are invited to take a voyage on their private ship of musical delights.

MusiCHI Suite: The New Music Software Manager And Player Dedicated To Classical, Jazz Or Other More Demanding Genre Of Music Is Now Available

MusiCHI Suite is the first integrated computer software application to manage your music files, completely dedicated to classical, jazz or other more demanding genre of music. It is the only digital music suite where the user can actually play and organize his music in an intelligent way, allowing him to change the order and number of columns on the screen and find his tracks in the most flexible manner. MusiCHI Suite includes 4 applications (Player, Ripper, Tagger, Library Manager), each optimized for their task, where newly introduced fields, such as Instruments, Composition, Period, Performers, Style, relevant to music classification can be utilized. Unlike other programs, in theMusiCHI Suite any field, any data, you see on screen is written inside the audio files , therefore, reducing the importance of the library, which becomes just the temporarily catalog of the files’ metadata, used only for fast and flexible searches. Bringing back the focus to the music files themselves and freeing you from any proprietary software library database.

Furthermore, we use a database engine that allows virtually unlimited size of libraries. MusiCHI Suite is a multi – library system , allowing for one more level of grouping, for example Classical, Jazz, World Music, etc. According to the library, the user interface, audio tracks data and tagging pick lists can change, since different styles of music have different logic and personalities: with classical music Composer/Composition is more valuable information than Artist/Album, for example.

The Suite is equipped with a complete reference database (MusiCHI Clean ©®) for classical music, where more than 5000 entries (composers, performers, orchestras, etc.) have been properly corrected and normalized with full respect of their local spelling (umlaut, accents etc.), i.e. the program is fully Unicode compliant. Furthermore, it has a composition engine search covering for the moment the integrated music collection of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Vivaldi. The composition engine search will soon be completed with the compositions of other famous composers.

MusiCHI Suite Version 2.1 comes with step by step tutorials and help files leading the user to learn the program and its powerful features quickly and easily. In Version 2.1, new capabilities have been added such as the possibility to play music files without them being part of a music library, the possibility to see the album/compositions covers in a graphical carousel view, the possibility to change the fonts sizes so that the user can play with the software remotely from his couch, the possibility to extract the content of the music library for printing via a spreadsheet. Furthermore, the player can read directly the CD booklet (in pdf format) with a single click, can browse any relevant internet pages linked to a track (Wikipedia etc.), potentially transforming the application to be a front-end to a music knowledge based system. Via the Windows clipboard, the Ripper can use, for its metadata, pretty much any source coming from the WEB or other documents. The playlists are now compatible with the m3u and m3u8 formats. In order to explore the numerous capabilities of the software, you can download from http://www.musichi.eu/index.php/en/downloaddemo, the free trial version (the full featured program with a limited activation time). We have also, included a demo librarywith prepared musical clips (courtesy of Hyperion Records), that can show how classical music can be tagged, “the MusiCHI way”. With these files you can experiment with the other tools of the Suite, especially our tag editor that is considered undoubtedly one of the best (if not the best) of its kind.

MusiCHI Suite Version 2.1 can play FLAC files up to 24 bits/ 385.2 KHZ, and offers additional support for MP3, MP4, APE, WMA and M4A. As we do not offer volume adjustment within the player, we do not add any digital distortion. MusiCHI Suite is ASIO Drivers compatible, including ASIO4ALL, allowing to by-pass the video sound mixer of Windows and achieving bit perfect digital output (we have passed bit transparency tests with a Weiss DAC202). MusiCHI Suite is designed to run on Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista or 7).

MusiCHI Suite is available in 3 versions: MusiCHI Studio (launching price 39 euros, approx. 54 US$) which includes the 4 applications (Player, Ripper, Tagger, Library Manager), MusiCHI Portable (launching price 19 euros, approx. 26 US$) a unique application that allows the user to transport and play all his digital music library on any other PC without any further configuration than plug a USB drive and MusiCHI Ultimo(launching price 49 euros, approx. 68 US$) which apart from the 4 applications, includes also the Portable Edition.

MusiCHI Suite is available through the website address: www.musichi.eu.

If that student needs to buy a guitar, it can be found in the classified ad section of the site. Jam sessions can be found and arranged through Munite as well.

Munite also provides musicians a unique and creative component for music collaboration, Mumiix™. Mumiix™ is an open access tool to create, mix, and share music in ways that were previously unimaginable. Mumiix™ makes it possible for beatboxers from Brooklyn to collaborate with classical guitarists from Spain. Mumiix™ provides the tools to make it happen online, without the limitations of geographical boundaries. Anyone can take part in a Mumiix™ project by simply inviting others or requesting invitations to join other members’ Mumiix™ projects. Even labels, managers, and producers can be a part of the virtual collaboration so that everyone works together to get the end result off the ground, on the airwaves, and onto the stage.
